Hello,Would it be possible to request an enhancement to ModelCheck?Specifically, I would like ModelCheck to be able to verify the Bend Allowance settings. For example, I would like to check that for sheetmetal parts, the “Bend allowance driven by” option is correctly set to be driven by the material.Even further, I would like to validate that the Sheetmetal Preferences are consistent with the smtdsnsetup.smd configuration file.Thank you in advance if this request could be considered.Adrien Blazy  

I'm using MathCAD Prime 9.0.0.0. MathCAD is always forcing Units of Measure. Usually it'll choose appropriately based on the data going into it. However, sometimes it's wrong or uses weird units and won't allow me to override. A work around is I can not use units at all or I can put in a 2nd equation without units, but I shouldn't have to do that. One of the advantages to MathCAD is I can use multiple units in the same equation and MathCAD knows the difference. In this case...I want......but I get...I want......but I get... Thanks,      Brent

We want to transfer the personalized configuration from the version used till today (Creo 9) to the new installed version. How can we achieve this?PS. We have also a Creo Simulation pack.

Hi AllI have a surface in a copy-geom which references many features in my model.I now want to create a surface feature and remove the copy_geom so that it is no longer dependent  on my skeleton model.Is there a way to reroute all the references in one go?Creo Software version 10.0.8.0

Dear PTC Support,I am a student at the Linzer Technikum (HTL Linz, Austria), using a full educational license provided by the school.I am unable to activate Mathcad Prime when I use my personal laptop outside the school environment (on a different home network/internet connection).The license activation fails with the error: "(-9) Invalid host." (License status "Ungültig" / Invalid).Steps taken and results:Using the License File: The license file (...sw_license_email_738123.dat) fails because it appears to be tied to a specific network/host ID present only at the school.Using the License Key: I have attempted activation using my assigned license key, but it resulted in the same error. I can provide the key privately. This also results in the same "Invalid host" error and the key then becomes invalid (or tied to the incorrect Host ID).Key Issue:This is happening on the exact same laptop. Dear PTC Community, I have Mathcad-11 from the 1990's, & I need to reinstall it after a HDD failure. However, PTC (Mathsoft) doesn't run their license server anymore & therefore, the product cannot be activated. Can someone please assist ?

Dear PTC Community,I am working on a system of coupled nonlinear equations and attempting to solve it using a Mathcad Prime 7.0.0.0 Solve Block. The solve block runs without errors and returns numerical values for my unknowns. However, when I validate the solution outside the solve block, I find that one of the variables ( J), which appears in two different model equations, gives two different values when recalculated. I expected these equations to converge to a consistent solution for J, but they do not.In other words, even though the solve block returns values for three different variables (J, E, ε), the two J expressions do not evaluate to the same value of J when I recompute them using the solved ( E and ε).I have attached my Mathcad file.Could someone please review it and help me understand why the solve block returns a result but the two governing equations do not match when checked afterwards?I would be very grateful for your insight. Kind regards,Tadele

Hello, Looking for an explanation of some strange results I am getting in Creo simulate.  I am wondering if I have the model setup incorrectly.  The model is not that complicated.  its a bolted assembly with some external masses (sensors) that are associated to the bracket via mass elements and weighted links.   I am trying to understand displacement of the mass elements when they are excited at resonance.  The oddity I am seeing is the massive displacement at frequency 0 (clearly not a real result).   Any help or thoughts on this matter would be great!  See the details i have posted below.     

Hi All, I'm resurrecting an old thread as I am curious if PTC have resolved this modelleing limitation in later releases. I am currently using 7 but no updates here.  FYI my part does not have a standard helical pitch, I have datum curves generated by co ordinates, so it would not be possible to use the volume helical sweep which I beleive was a new feature added to V 7 to tackle this issue for set pitches.

Hello all, Does anyone have an example of how to use G93 in programming 4 axis contouring work with Creo Manufacturing?  We have a machine with this capability and I'd like to try it. So far I have been able to get the post to put G93 in the right places, but it puts a F0. for feedrate. Even if it did work, I am not sure how this really works.  G93 as I understand it interprets feed commands as inverse time.  So if my feedrate in IPM is 100, but G93 is active, the move will occur in 1/100 seconds?  How can that be right?  A short move takes longer than 100IPM would linearly and a long move takes the same amount of time so it moves much faster than 100IPM? Maybe I am misunderstanding how that works, but that is how I read it. Thank you for any help!Matt

HI Expert,I have below condition and would like to know how the Creo licenses will be utilized. I have a single Windows workstation with Creo (WC 12) installed, and the machine has two local user accounts (User 1 and User 2).I would like to understand how Creo licensing works when multiple users share the same machine:If User 1 logs in and starts Creo, but does not close Creo before logging out or switching users, and then User 2 logs in and starts Creo as well — how many licenses are consumed?Is this counted as one license (because it is the same machine), or two licenses (because there are two user sessions)?If User 1 does close Creo before logging out, will User 2 be able to start Creo normally under their own login and use the same license?In general, what is the correct way for multiple users to share a single workstation and use Creo with the most efficient (optimal) license usage?Are there any guidelines or best practices for concurrent users on the same machine?Any officia

Hello everybody!I'm using Creo 7 to simulate a mechanism that uses a piston (slider constraint with lower and upper limit, the green part) to partially rotate a cranck mechanism . The problem is that the rotating part wants to pull the piston beyond its limits and then simulation crashes. Actually when the piston is fully extended it acts as a rigid body, What I'd like to do is:- Extend the piston- Start rotating the levers- Stop rotating- Retract the pistonAny suggestion? I thought to replace the piston with a single part (a rod) but as simulation is not "correct" Any suggestion?Best regardsStefano

Hello everyone, i am struggling with an issues and need some help. I created new line styles, I create them from "manage line style" and click on "new". I can't use them only in that specific drawing and i want to be able to use in any another drawings. How i can do that? I was looking to find the file where every default style is (geometry, hidden ecc), where the "line stye gallery" takes from but i am not have been able to find it. I found this Adding Custom Line Sytles to be used in Detailing - PTC Community and this Article - CS62031 - Is it possible to store *.lsl Line Font files in a specific directory in Creo Parametric The issues is that i can't find any .lsl file to copy from and know what to write to create this file.Aboute the template method mentioned in those links, it is possible to define a drawing template with line in it?
