I'm using MathCAD 15.I'm trying to solve this six-equations-six-variables system of equations. But no matter which initial guesses I use, I have not been able to solve it. Also, I'm using unitless values. The error that is displayed is in the screenshot. Clicking "Trace Error" only leads it to saying that the problem is in α1 being undefined (which does not make sense). Randomly, it even points to some cosine or even a "2".How do I fix this? I believe there's something very basic that I'm not paying attention to. Thank you for your attention. The file is attached.
Hello Everyone Does anyone know how to adjust the CL tool path player simulation speed. With the slider set to as slow as possible, it is way too fast to see anything useful, there must be a way to alter the playback speed of the tool path player. Thank you Peter
Hi all, I am learning how to run a thermal analysis on a PCB using CREO. I do not have a ECAD-MCAD license. I got some sample PCBs from KICAD and tried importing it to CREO. I tried using a .emn and .emp file extensions but only a rectangle was imported. Then I tried importing it as a .step file. It loaded all the components. But I am not able to get the Vias, Copper Routing, Solder masking etc nothing on my CREO. How can I import the PCB file properly on CREO? A proper guide to this will be very much appreciated as I am a beginner using CREO for ECAD. Kind Regards, Naresh
There is very little documentation on this. I have a simple block (in wiring diagram) with 5 ports on it. Each port has a Label attached to it (labels are not attached to the block but to the ports) I run single fibers to each port. I want the Port to grab the "color" parameter (or any parameter) from the wire and that calculated parameter will be pushed to the text label. It should be easy right? Thanks in advance! Patiently waiting....
Good Morning, I have encountered a problem solving a symbolic equation using Mathcad Prime 11.0.0.0. I try to evaluate the derivative of function using keywords from Sybolics (Operators and Symbols). The error is: "More than one independent variable for keyword solve. What I try to do is to find when the derivative of the function is equal zero. To find max/min of a function. One variable in function f(x) is x. The rest is defined above. So I do not understand what the problem is here. Variable x should be in metres , from range 0 to 1.Please see below. Also file in attachment. What did I wrong? Is there a better way to find a solution? Anyone could help? How to do it properly? Kind RegardsKarol
Hi, Just joined the community, and I got some doubts in applying color coding thru EMX. I'm not still not quite good in editing parameters. and just want to implement this in our shop. so detailing will be minimized. for example I want to differentiate relief hole to a sliding fit holes (screw hole and Dowel hole). Kindly, I want to know how to control this color coding. kindly site some examples and where to locate the configuration and how to set it up. thank you, Christopher,
I’m simulating a machine where a thin sheet is cut and then folded to form an envelope around a separator. The motion study is done in Creo Mechanism, and I plan to render in KeyShot, but I can’t get the sheet’s actual deformation in Creo. I’m thinking of animating the sheet in Blender and then bringing that together with the exported Creo assembly mechanism for the KeyShot render. Has anyone tried this?
I made my homework in mathcad 15 in uni lab and tried to open it on my pc, since I have mathcad 11 prime I tried to convert it with built-in converter and I got an error. Attached both XMCD and Log(XML) file.
How can I determine the maximum absolute value of a vector, but have the result appear with its corresponding sign?. Thanks to the community for your attention.
Are there any additional default system functions to be used for creating derived parameters other than the following:dg_inherit_from_ancestordg_inherit_from_connecteddg_derive_from_enclosuredg_derive_indirectdg_derive_indirect2dg_derive_as_label Can any of these be used to propagate a property value from one port to another? Thank you.
Helo folks! Please see the attached file. How can I filter the range variable or vector so that it basicly creates a new one but for values greater then, let say 9 (like in the file attached) it returns 9 for all remaining values in the range. Please help.Thank you.
I ordered Mathcad Prime on 19/09/25 but I have not received my fulfilment confirmation email. Can someone please send this to me?This thing wants me to open a thread on the PTC Community but I want to contact someone directly who can sort this out.
Hello everyone,I am trying to convert an old calculation file (in PDF format) to the latest version of Mathcad Prime. There are a few functions that I don't fully understand. I am attaching the PDF and the Mathcad Prime file for reference. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
Does anyone have a fix for Creo View not wanting to compare PDFs? I add the PDFs correctly and select them to compare but in the top right the loading wheel just spins and doesn't load anything.
Just got a new laptop, Dell Precision 7770 w/ an Nvidia RTX A4500 laptop GPU. I'm having some graphics issues and want to revert back to the PTC certified drivers for this platform for testing. I'm currently on version 581.15 video drivers but I need to get back to 511.79 which is back in the 2022 timeframe. Anyone have any ideas on where the Nvidia driver archive is located? I've tried searching their support site but it only goes back so far. Creo 8.0.0.0 Thanks...
I am trying to evaluate the sum shown below. I get "This array index is invalid for this array" but I don't see it. I would have thought that if the upper value in the sum is less than the lower, MC would give zero. That is not the case. Maybe this is the problem but, if so, I don't see how to solve it. As always, any help would be appreciated.
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing fine!I recently calculated wave theory selection using Mathcad Prime 9.0.0.0. I'm curious, is there a way to determine the region automatically for given points? I want the function to return "Linear/Airy", "Stokes 5", "Stream Function 3", etc. based on the chart.Does anyone know? I attached the full calculation below.
I'm using MathCAD 9.0.0.0If ......and......then why does......when it should clearly be "50" layers in the base?My program is attached. Thank you, Brent
Units are converting wrong, when I have psi multiplied by inch it gives me units of (lb/s^2) and when I do a kip multiplied by in it is giving me units of ((lb*in^2)/s^2)
Not able to install Mathcad 11.0 in new computer (Replacing old computer). Cant find download link and also will need help transferring license.
Why is Floating license needed to use replace feature in assembly. When picked new-assembly-interchange- OKError message: You have not checked out the license option. Please click "File->Options->Floating Licenses" and choose required option. SEE IMAGE ATTACH
Hi all,I have a broken piece I need to fix. How can I superimpose the pic in sketcher to draw exact profile to match and give me a accurate or close match. I have to make the red piece (See Image). Thickness is known (1.2MM). This can be a good lesson for reverse engineering. Copying the existing for upgrade .Thanks in advance. -Yo
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.0Dear PTC Support Team,We recently upgraded our Creo software from version 8 to version 11. Since this upgrade, some users have reported a significant decrease in the quality of 2D drafting outputs. Specifically, when zooming out in 2D drawings, the lines and texts appear blurred and less sharp compared to Creo 8.We have thoroughly checked the graphics card settings on the affected workstations, and everything appears to be correctly configured. Additionally, we have tested all the solutions recommended in the PTC community article (Article - CS169272) without success.Could you please confirm if there are any known graphics-related issues in Creo 11 that could cause this blurring effect? Furthermore, we would appreciate any effective workarounds or fixes that you could provide to resolve this issue.Thank you very much for your assistance.
Reference https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/Sum-in-Mathcad-Prime/m-p/1035397/highlight/true#M218879 Following on from the discussion re minima and maxima of various Mathcad data types, I gave up on trying to fault-find my original (messy) complex sort worksheet, and present the following simplified Mathcad Prime 11 version for your edification. It's based on merge sort. zv is the complex-valued vector to sort, and I've rerun the results in MATLAB. . Stuart
