Hi everyone, I have some 3D parts (an image of one is attached) and I was wondering if I can export the coordinates of the points making up a 2D cross section of my shape at various Z lengths (because the shape is extruded in the Z direction). for example my extrusion in Z is 10mm and i would like to get the points that make up the perimeter at Z=5mm and Z=2mm. I hope this is clear, I intend to use this coordinates in matlab (a programming software)
Hello all, I am using toolkit (c++) and want to save .pvz and .png of current part/assembly/drawing with no options selected from Spin Center and Datum display filters. Please let me know if you have any code sample/ function name which can help me. Warm regards, Madhavi
Hi all We use CREO 7.0.2.0 and windchill 11.1 M020-CPS20.After added a model to a workspace and open it, sometimes we have a warning from the notification center, and a yellow triangle in our model tree. The message is as follow:I don't understand which function or parameter CREO want to update at opening.I read the CS329894, but don"t find any enlightementWhere can i found this information? Is there a model log somewhere? Regards Dom
Hi all, I have an issue with a drawing I have produced recently. I essentially have a drawing view of a profiled cylinder & have this weird double line in the areas I have radii. I have attached a screen shot of the offending lines. When the drawing is exported to a dxf or dwg format this behaviour is also exported. I have experienced this in the past & I am sure cured the issue with some setting but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get rid of these extra lines now, to leave a single line profile. If I create an area cross section through the cylinder & then update the drawing view to be the same I get the result I desire, a single line but I shouldn't have to go to those lengths. I am sure it is an Entity Display setting or some other Model Display setting but which one. Any ideas? John
When I edit features and the references for parts in my assembly are gone, I need to redefine the constraints using this window. This is what the window looks likeBut the names of the features are way longer than the window, so they mostly do not fit inside. Is there maybe any way to extend the window where the name of the features is written into?

Hi All, it’s my first time posting on here. I am used to using Creo Parametric for my designs and I usually parametrise my parts to make it easy to modify in the future. I was wondering if there is a way to run Creo parametric, load file, make an edit and export this file using an external program such as MATLAB. I would like to do this because I will be exporting 1000’s of versions of the same file just at different geometrical values and wanted to automate the process and run my analysis on MATLAB automatically. Any response is appreciated
Hello, When I use Pocket Milling, milling bottom Face with spiral type, I found that I can not control cut path corner radius, all corners of cut path are sharp, this is not my expectation. Could you please help me to solve this issue? thanks, Bin
It surprises me that, while running through the different PTC forums, I did not find the answer to a lack in Creo Parametric that seems so obvious to me and to other users who have worked with other CAD systems like SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, NX...In all these CAD systems, it is possible to create a Symmetrical constraint between parts in an assembly. In Creo Parametric, this simple functionality isn't available at all. Or am I wrong? Any comment is appreciated, as long as it is polite!Kind regards,Philip Olieux
I am using Creo Parametric Release N/A and DatecodeN/A 1. I am curious about the graphics card specifications of Creo parametric. -I want to know which part of the graphics card specification is important when Creo is running. In the past (early 2010), Quadro of Nvidia graphics card and general Geforce series chipset were different, so the use of Quadro was important. At this point, the same chipset is used, and if there is a difference between Quadro and Geforce (RTX) series, the only difference is the amount of VRAM and the number of cuda cores. The price of Quadro is too expensive compared to regular RTX (geforce) graphics cards. However, the performance of the Quadro is too low for the same price. -RTX graphics card I wonder if there will be any problems using the graphics card. Is there anyway I can add Axis label to Notes (some sort of & parameters or something like that)? Adding hole table using Datum axis but labels are not clean to read. Thanks
1. Describe your environment: What is your industry? What is your role in your organization? Describe your stakeholders. We are working with Creo Parametric 7.0.9.0. We are giving protection to CAD files using Microsoft MIP. I am Technical Lead for our Add-on for Creo. We could not be able to get Windows minimize and maximize event for Creo Parametric. We tried with ProToolkit as well OTK C++.

hello while importing step file of gear, the radius and flank surface are getting merged, How can we have seperate surface/ face for both selection, Image Description ( while selecting flank radius is also getting) selected ) The surface for radius and flank should be different.
In a assembly users are setting flexibility for wiring straps, Its round.. but when we are going to reopen the assembly it again comes as straight. As per the user, it was fine with Creo 4 problem occurring with Creo7 only..Can someone help.
Hi everyone, I am having some trouble after recently updating from Creo 6 to Creo 8. As far as I remember this was never a problem in Creo 6, but I don't know if there could be some difference in a config/bug arising as a result of my organisition's specific distribution. Problem:I am creating a sheet metal part with two overlapping flanges whose flat faces 'meet' to create a more sturdy fixing point when riveting the part in place. The position of one bend is offset by the thickness of the material to create the overlap without the flanges actually intersecting. I would like to apply a round to the corners, however this causes a big problem. When the round (or chamfer) are applied across the two independent corners the resultant geometry instead creates a single franken-flange by merging the two at the round. The image below shows the part I am working with. The two bends are numbered, while the problem area is marked with 'P'. The two flanges still highlight individually if

Hi, I'm using Creo 7 and Windchill 12. My model tree setup has got a column in for PTC_COMMON_NAME, which we use as the human-readable descriptor of the cad part/assembly. Some of the sub-assemblies are quite heavy so I don't want to have to retrieve them and bring them into session only to find out that's not the section I was looking for; i.e. I can't remember if the part I want to see is in 100_8 or 100_9, but if the common names were shown I would be able to tell which one I need. When I open this top level master scheme the common name column is all blank, and when I set the sub-assembly to a master rep it retrieves the common name and displays it, but I'd much prefer to make it retrieve the common names of each of the assemblies within the top level, without bringing their assembly contents into session; is that possible? I think I can make a user defined "empty" rep in every individual sub-assy and then re-define the master scheme "empty" rep
Hello,I created a harness with some spools that contained 2 conductors.I defined the color coding for each and was able to route them separately. The report table looks correct except for the color code. How do I get them to show up correctly like the other single wire spools?Any insight for this would be appreciated,Thanks! Kino
How can I see mirrored features preview after I select any referance datum, axis , plane etc. When mirroring features , I select the feature first, then when I click any reference, I can not see the position of mirrored feature. I can see those only when I press ok .
What i suppoesed to do if i need replace a component part in a assembly in Creo 7.0.2.0 OTK C++/Java OTKIn old version the method pfcSolid::ExecuteFeatureOps(pfcFeatureOperations_ptr, optional pfcRegenInstructions_ptr) works well, however e-support technique file tells me OTK C++/Java OTK have anther mehod with same function in this version, but i can't find the method. The only mehod i found in help file is pfcCompModelReplace_ptr CreateReplaceOp (pfcModel_ptr NewModel), but what i should do after i have created this option, which mehod can receive this argument and execute the replacement action.Urgent issue need your help ,million thanks!
Hello, I have a sketch that contains some reference dimensions, for this particular sketch, in the sketch relations that are then used to drive a sketch dimension in the same sketch. This represents a circular reference which can be resolved through iteration. When I regenerate multiple times (less than 10 is usually sufficient), the sketch geometry is resolved. So my question is, is there a way to program in the extra regenerations, or is there another way to program the iterations to resolve the sketch?
I am in the process of re-doing some of our mapkeys. It looks like in Creo 4 the mapkeys have gotten even more verbose than in Creo 3. Here is a thread on them in Creo 3: https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/Creo-3-Mapkeys/td-p/166770 Now they look like this: mapkey(continued) ~ Key `main_dlg_cur` `proe_win` 9 181 220 4259937 0 1421 922 1920 1200 \mapkey(continued) 8262369 `A`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Key `main_dlg_cur` `proe_win` 9 181 220 4325474 0 1421 922 1920 1200 \mapkey(continued) 8262369 `B`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Key `main_dlg_cur` `proe_win` 9 181 220 4391011 0 1421 922 1920 1200 \mapkey(continued) 8262369 `C`;\ Has anyone deciphered if all of those extra codes are required? I tried deleting all except for the last 7 digit one but that didn't work. Is there an easier way to enter / edit text in a mapkey? If not then I will probably resort to text from file just to keep the length of the mapkeys down and readable.
Hello members, I am having repeat region parameters as shown in attached Image, which give me result like shown in attached image. I would like to have Item number for sub assembly or for second level/Third level of BOM as 6.1,, 6.2 etc as shown with purple ink. Is there way I can have that kind of numbering scheme? Thanks. It would be nice if you send video or image.
