Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Enable Volumetric flow rate & volumetric flux in section window of post processing Creo Flow Analysis. Can anyone suggest any workaround? when will PTC introduce these variables in Creo Flow Analysis ? Is there any development / work going on related to this subject?

What software do I need to open and view a .pha file?  I tried Creo View Lite, but it doesn't support it.

I have seen this before, just can't find it. We are thinking of creating BOM tables to compare different assembly configurations in a single table. So I've been working on a very simple part with some GD&T callouts and have now encountered my fourth issue trying to do basic annotations (Creo 6). This time, I've noticed that attaching a runout callout to a surface results in a filled arrow in the feature control frame (I'm not talking about the leader arrow). When attaching to a witness line extending from the part object line, the symbol in the feature control frame turns into a stroked arrow. See attached image. This is frustrating because attaching to the witness line is the only way I've found to enable a gap between the FCF and the object line when placing the FCF against a surface. Another question so I don't keep making posts, how does one callout a set of chamfers that were all made in one set of the chamfer feature tool? Show Annotations gives me AxD dimension, but not the 2X callout. I added the 2X in the attached image, which is not parametric and thus not preferred.

Hello All, Software Version: PTC Creo Parametric  9.0.3.0 We are trying to use the repeat region of a drawing table to input assembly data from left to right. However, the system default inputs this information from top to bottom.  Specifically, we have a cable assembly that is made up of a single cable and a terminal on both ends. I would like the repeat region to input the data horizontally rather than vertically. We are using the repeat region symbols:asm.nameasm.mbr.nameWe have tried the asm.mbr.name:1 or :2 to see if the code will have the individual part for the respective column but this did not populate. Is the below example possible, or will the system default always be a vertical entry and there is no possible way of changing it to horizontal? Want to have Table Example:Assembly PN          Cable PN         Terminal 1 PN          Terminal 2 PNAssembly 1  &nb

I am using the ANSI Flare Bevel weld symbol in PTC Creo 8.0.8.0, and there seems to be a large space between the flare bevel symbol and the flush and grind symbol. So much space that the flush and grind symbol hardly appears to be applied to the weld symbol.  Can this space be reduced relative to the rest of the symbol? Or maybe another solution? I've tried changing the font size, but this makes everything smaller. I've also tried the different weld symbols (simple, combination, braze, and ISO) but none of these options are a good solution.  Not looking for a solution involving adding a sketch line and/or Text Note.  Thanks for your time,Kevin 

Hello, I have created an MBD with several notes that contain a hyperlink to another combined view. People in the factory can click this link and the corrosponding view pops up. This works in Creo Parametric (10). However in Creo view it only works when you click the actual text instead of the text box. So for example the empty space inside an "O" is not clickable.Is there a way to fix this?

Hello, everyone. I am looking for a way to identify cabling/harness elements, specifically ".prt" type by using a repeat region.So far, by using "asm > mbr > type" it is possible to identify parts, assemblies and skeletons. By setting the repeat region to find certain properties in the parameters, I can identify sheet metal and piping components. But, I have not found a way to identify cabling parts. Yes, in my case I have them modeled from the cabling application. Yeah, I know there are some repeat regions configured to list cabling/harness properties, BUT I cannot enter 1 by 1 in the subassemblies and set them as primary model for my tables. Then: I need to find a way to identify cables from a master assembly or top level. It can be by invoking a parameter/properties to include in the repeat region that only cabling elements have. Or any other identifier.NO: at this stage of the project I cannot add a new string parameter saying it is a cable. I ha

TLDR:  Is there a way for a table BOM balloon to have multiple leaders pointing to the correct objects? We have finally made the move to tables and balloons in our newly created assembly drawings.  It took  14.56 seconds after we went live for a user to bring up a scenario w/o an immediate solution. When we were creating dumb part number notes we would create a leader to each part in an assembly.  Example would be PEM fasteners in a plate of sheet metal.  If there were five of one part number in one location and six of another part number in another location, we would just put a leader to all items of a part number Now that we have moved over to balloons we are using split quantity balloons (image balloon_1.png).  To accomplish the same result we would need a balloon on each part.  In this case we would need 14 different balloons for the two part numbers.   What the user ended up doing is shown in balloon_2.png.  Get

Hello All,We have a problem with the Ansys Simulation module in Creo 11.0.0.0. When we run the simulation with the default settings, it always shows the message: "Solve I Failed I 0% completed," even when running with a simple part, and then stops without showing any results.We had no such problem in Ansys Simulation when using Creo 10 on the same hardware. Why is this happening?Our hardware: Windows 11, 28 GB memory, AMD Epyc 7V12 (4 CPUs), 2.4GHz, and NVIDIA T4. Thanks in advance to anyone who may assist us solve this issue.

I just noticed a strange behavior in CREO 10. In my model tree I selected a single part representing a volume (extruded feature). Within this part/volume I'm packaging other components. I want to see through this volume to see the other parts. So, I select this Volume (2nd art in model tree) click Edit Modal Appearances... and change the transparency setting to see-trough. What happens is another part (3rd item in modal tree) transparency also changes. I noticed this and wanted to turn off transparency. When I edit this part (3rd) whatever changes I make impacts the other part (2nd). Why are these two related for Appearances? How do I break this relationship? Mind you I am only selecting one part to apply transparency. 

Hello, I would like to calculate the bolts, but I don't know exactly how to set the constraints.Should the thread also be designed? I'm hoping for a good idea. Designed with Creo 10.   

I am in the process of transferring thousands of Solidworks parts over to CREO 5 and trying to create a macro that sets material and converts to Sheet Metal for us.  So far so good with that, but in order to create the Flat Pattern as part of the Macro it requires a face to select as the correct Orientation.  I'd like to automate that as well if possible but the top face of the flat pattern could be different for each part, so I'm wondering if there is a way that at time of creating the Flat Pattern "Rep" the correct orientation could be saved as well?   In the Flat Pattern Preview window it automatically positions the view oriented towards the flat face, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to have it use that view and save it as a new Orientation.   For anyone helping me with this to understand what I am doing here, after the Flat Rep and correct orientation is created I then have a macro generate a new drawing (for Flat Pattern only) using a template th

Hey guys, Im currently testing a VBA Code from a college, that was written for Creo 4. In one part, it uses the method IpfcParameter.GetDriverType(). It worked fine in Creo 4, but now with Creo 10, it gives the Runtime Error '-2147352567 (80020009)': pfcExeptions::XToolkitObsoleteFunc. The method is still present in the VB API User’s Guide 10.0.0.0, so I dont know why it should be obsolete. Is there a workaround to get the value otherwise?

I'm trying to assign a value for a new parameter called "AAA" using feature Name not feature ID. This code works wellAAA = b:8 But this code doesn't work with meAAA = b:fid_EXTRUDEerrorInvalid symbol 'b:FID_EXTRUDE' found. knowing that:1- the feature which is called "EXTRUDE" has ID=82- I'm working inside the part relations3- I'm using Creo Parametric 8.0.8.0

I have downloaded the PTC Control Center.msi file but when I go to execute it I get an error message. Error writing to file: c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\Programs\PTC\Creo\ControlCenter\bootstrapper.exe The folder bath is created but that file does not exist? I am on Windows 10 Pro build 19045 on a MSI GE76 Raider with an Intel Core i7-1180H, 16GB memory and a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. I have removed the PTC folder and tried a number of times and get the same failure.  

I know I'm working backwards, but such is life.  I have modeled a mold and now I need to create the casting that would fill the mold.  I'm not finding much help, on this process. Creo 10 Thanks

In models that use a lot of shrinkwrap, there is a considerable wait time when opening and operating files.Due to the assembly structure, it is not possible to completely eliminate shrinkwrap.I have attached a sample model, so I would appreciate your advice on improving the operation.The sample model is a simple one created for verification purposes. In the actual model, "opening a file" takes about 4 minutes, and other operations take even longer. Also, the operations in the question are only representative ones, and in reality there are many other operations.It would be even better if I could improve it by upgrading my PC's specs. Which parts of my PC should I upgrade? The graphics card, the memory?
