Hello, can someone help me, please.I recently got a new computer with Windows 11. I have Creo 8 and Creo View 9 installed now. I can't get creo files in explorer to be opened primarily with creo view when double clicked? Thanks
Hello, I am trying to create optimized parts for AM. During the initial optimization (pic 1), the part looks very good and respects the Excluded Geometry bodies, ie. keep out areas. However, when I generate the result to reconstructed part (pic 2), it will create shapes intersecting with Excluded Geometry areas. In this example, I cannot attach the required fasteners to final design since the organic blobs are blocking it. I thought that build direction could have something to do with it, so I flipped it to not have any internal "ceilings", or bridging, in the design. Same result (pic 3). I have tried to change material, material spreading, forces, output resolution level, excluded geometry design etc (pic 4). The same challenge repeats, final reconstructed design does not respect my excluded geometry. I am running it on CREO Parametric 10.0.1.0 with GTO & AAX extensions. All tips are welcome & appreciated!
I am learning more about how to use layers in Creo Parametric. One issue I have is the Layer Tree becoming unwieldy. Currently, I have an assembly model with a really long layer tree with a large amount of layers that have no contents. I'd like to delete these layers to shorten the tree and make it easier to read/use. I haven't found a way to automate this process. I was hoping that there would be a filter to show all the empty layers or a "find" function to select only empty layers for deleting. Does anyone else have this issue? What are some workarounds or methods that might ease the approach to cleaning up the layer tree? Thanks
Creo Parametric 7 I have a table pattern with 3 members, the third member is failing but I have not been able to root cause the failure. The pattern regenerates when only varying the angle dimension (ROT DIR 1), when I add the linear dimension to the pattern it is failing. I am looking for options on how to determine what is wrong. If anyone has suggestions for diagnostics or can see the issue, chime in. Creo 7 model posted for review.
How do I use the flexible modeling move command to rotate surfaces? I can move them linearly, but how do I rotate them 90 degrees? I am using CREO 10.
Hi Guys, How do I change these values? I've seen a post saying its Linear_tol, but this doesnt seem to change anything. now that we are testing out MBD, I'm noticing that in 3d these are not what I want shown for tolerances. I want it to match my 2d drawings as:.xxxx =+-.0005.xxx = +-.001.xx = +-.005.x = +-.01 This is what Ive tried added to my config, pro with no luck in changing this. Im assuming my formatting on the config is not correct?
HelloI know Pro/ENGINEER 2001 it's an old version of Pro/ENGINEER (24 years old), but sometimes people get nostalgic I'm wondering if anyone has the installation disks for Pro/ENGINEER 2001 (Win_95 and NT) to share with me.The legacy versions are no longer available for download from the PTC website, so I'm reaching out to you ProE fans. I know there are good people out there who still own/have these installation disks and are willing to share with me.Thanks everyone for your support.
I'm using creo 10.0.2.0. I can't get basic layers to work consistently and am not sure why... So, I created a sketch in the model. I want to show up in my drawing, but be hidden in the model. So first, I create a layer called CS_Measurement and add the sketch to it. Then I hide it in the model. Then i go to my drawing. I select my Left_10 view so i can control that view independent of all else. I click on CS_Measurement, and the red dotted line appears as a preview. Then I right click on CS_Measurement so I can unhide the sketch, but...... Apparently it's already unhidden because it gives me the "Hide" command only... Except it's not unhidden because it's not showing up in yellow like it should when i click away.so maybe i have to expand the CS_Measurement layer and unhide the sketch itself. However, the only option presented is "Unhide in Model". But I don't want to do that... I just want to unhide in that drawing view every now and then, ill try unhiding some things, re-hiding o
Hello I wanted to know if there is any setting where we can turn off the windchill online workspace in one creo (i.e. work offline), and simultaneously work online on windchill workspace another creo. I am using creo 4.0. I know it was possible previously in creo 3 but is there any way to copy the same funcationality in creo 4.0? I would appreciate your responses.
Hi Community,(Creo 10.0.4.0)I'm setting up templates for new drawing templates and want to have a field in the title box about the export file name:1-00001234_01.stp<Part_numnber>_<Version>.stp&<parameter_name>_&<parameter_name> It looks for parameters the underscore "_" is breaking the definition, it needs a separator. What is the correct way to combine two parameters without space or with a character? Is there any markdown available for Creo tables?
Hi, I am experiencing this same issue. The Drag tool notices the Clash and pushes the object. When I run the analysis, it ignores this push option and just goes right though the object highlighting the clash. Is anyone at PTC looking into this issue? I have a user asking if it is possible to add multiple models (not a family table) to a drawing and then create a drawing table to list all of the models associated with the drawing. Their idea is to add a drawing table that lists all of the models associated with the drawing and the model's lengths. Example: Hex bolts with different lengths but bolts are individual components and not in a family table. When a bolt is added, the table automatically updates. Let me say that I do not agree with doing things this way, but agreed to check into it for them. In my opinion, the drawing should revise each time another model is added. We are also using Windchill.
I have a parametric startscript and i it is creating a creotk.dat for the toolkit usage. Now i have a second toolkit which iam writing in the creotk.dat.Now i have the problem that i cant start the second one. It is loading in it but cant start with the message in german:Initialisierung des fremdsprachigen Programms "Name" fehlgeschlagen: Fehler PRO_TK_GENERAL_ERROR.I wrote the text also in the creotk.dat which already exists. Environment variable PRO_COMM_MSG_EXE is already implemented. How can say in my startscript (Powershell) that he has to implement it to parametric?
When creating the balloons, some of them end up overlapping, or even being left out of the spreadsheet, and another scenario is that, when creating the balloons in some views, you end up taking geometric references that are not visible in that view..

I'm going thru the hole files editing the notes and customizing them to our needs. I got to the NPT and NPTF hole files and started looking thru the .hol definition and noticed there was no information for the DEFAULT_CALLOUT_FORMAT_DATA section. However, I'm getting the note as defined below. I'm wondering where it is getting this data as I'd like to edit it slightly. I've looked that all the possible locations a .hol file could be and don't see where it could be getting this callout data. Our hole_parameter_file_path config option is pointing into Windchill and the callout data is not defined in those files. I looked in the <loadpoint>\Common Files\text\hole location as well as my creo home location and the NPT and NPTF hole files do not exist there. Creo 8.0.0.0Thanks...
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.2.0When creating a milling step with complete machining extension, the tool name (created in tool setup) and step name (named in the construction tree) do not appear in the NCL file (and then in the ISO code for the machine).
How can i make my formats save in the template, i always make all the work, save the template but when i go open, dont have any format in there, i dunno what to do anymore.i already save as template as drw, notting works, i think i am broke thats why i have so many problems in the creo.funny that one of them saved as i wanted
We recently upgraded from Creo 4.0 to Creo 9.0. When I open older drawings that have section views or create new section views, I now see these big "X"s all over the drawing. How do I get rid of them?
Hello. Please tell me how to move the second dimension line below the angular dimension line as on attached picture? In a usual linear dimension, it is enough to move the text to a new line in "Dimension Text" and it wraps under the line, but in angular size this does not work.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.2.0unable to distinguish between thickneess of object line and extension line on drawing in creo parametric 11.0
Hello. I've been using CREO (first 7 now 10) for less than a year. I pick through stuff to get my job done. The training I received was = none. So, I want to show dual dimensions in the Measure results. Right now, set to English Inch. I want also Metric millimeter as well. I click on the "open options dialog box" and only see option for one unit. Does CREO 10 allow for multiple units displayed during Measure command. I searched System Options and even the search bar. I didn't find anything. That is why I'm here. Please note I am not asking for dual dimensions for drawings. I know this is an option. Just Measure tool results display. I hate having to use calculator for every measurement. Thanks
Dear Creo experts I would like to apply the isogrid, or better hexagonal net, on the outer side of surface in attached file. The quilt is unflattenable. I have study the examples above, the trajectory rib method, but no way, not works properly on the open side surface. I have just no idea how to do that. Thanks for support. Rosta
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM080Interference check feature is not able to find out interference between the two items.
Hi Creo Community, I have converted the creo drawing file units from inch to mm. upon doing so the fonts of all the text got very minute and smaller. I have fixed it by updating the text values to mm equivalent of inch. However still in diameter and radius dimensions the horizontal leader line is missing. See attached image. I have highlighted in red. I would appreciate your help with your suggestion on how I could show it back? Thanks so much!
