Creo (Previous to May 2018)

So this started recently happening when I try to save a file:I am not able to choose the directory or folder I wish to save the file to. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks!

Hey,I have a Section with a line with starting point (0,0). Now I want to get world coordinates(in the Solid CS) for this line. It may be like (100, 140, 10)I read in the User Guide, that there is an option to transform coordinates using rotation matrix(and probably not only rotation but also shifting as long as Matrix is 4x4).Say I have an object of pfcTransform3D class, now I have to setMatrix and then I will be able to TransformPointThe question is: To setMatrix, I have to know coordinate system's base vectors (for xOy are (1, 0) and (0,1)) for both (target and source CS's). Where can I get these vectors for my Section and Solid (probably (1, 0, 0) and (0, 1, 0) and  (0, 0, 1) )  and Shifting vector?Thank you in advance,Artem

My options menu window appears to big and only shows either the top half which you are able to exit out of the window on, or the bottom half where you apply the changes you'd like to make. I can make the screen wider or thinner, but when I try to make it shorter by dragging the top of the window down it glitches and does not work. So none of the changes I make are ever applied.

I don't like myfilter, smart filter does what I want. How can I make it default to smart always, or get rid of myfilter?

Hi, Here i am facing a new problem in Creo 2.0. I am not able to set the default working directory. Whenever I close and open the creo. It’s getting resetting to the My Document folder. Can anyone help me on this regards. I want fix the folder and it should not get changed on it own.ThanksDeena

I need to create a PET bottle with variable wall thickness.Is there any way where I could maintain variable wall thickness.NOTE: the share of the bottle is not circular, the base is elliptical.

Regards,I have done everything I could in order to change the OD=1.600 to OD=1.770 in this model, but every time I try, I loss the slots and curves.I would like to have the same exact slots shapes and measurements with an OD=1.770.Please be kind enough to help!CC

We need to show some tooling pins in a detailed view but they are just clutter in a parent view. Sketching them is a stupid work around.The other stupid work around is to make the detailed view a general view and add the detail call out separately.These represent stupid work-arounds - SWADoes anyone know a way to control layers independently in a detailed view?

Hello all,I'm in the process of creating a tyre rim using the revolve tool. When I go to revolve the rim cross section into a solid, I seem to be only able to revolve to a certain thickness. At a depth of 5mm which I want, it can only revolve to both sides of the sketch which I don't want. To revolve it to only one side I have to reduce the thickness to under 3mm. Why is this and is there a way to fix it? The first pic below is what I want it to do. Revolve on the inside edge to a depth of 5mm but as you can see it can't do it.The next picture is of what it is capable of doing at 5mm. Revolving on both sides of the sketch. Why can it revolve on both sides to 5mm but not on only one side??Thanks in advance

I tried recording it and nothing got recorded so I am guessing not. Has anyone played a trail file or otherwise deleted a mapkey?Currently I am loading back in a blank mapkey over the top of the old mapkey which effectively deletes it. It still leaves it in the list of mapkeys though.

Moving notes in Creo 3 has become more difficult. You have to get your mouse over the "text box" edges to get the 4-way arrow to show to be able to move the note.Additionally, if you've zoomed out and realize you want to move a "small note, you can't get the 4-way arrow to show because all the drag boxes are showing.Before I post an  PRODUCT IDEA in the land of never again seen posts, anyone have any tips?

Hello world,Look, I ran an analisys where I had to evaluate with different loads. After a month I had to go back and verify the stresses and deflections, the problem is that I do not how to show the load value is for case 1.for last case it is not a problem, I just check edit and I can see the numeric value, but for prevoius cases the only thing that I can see is the stresees, deflections and so on but the load applied for teh calculation,see file attachedDoes anyone knows how to get it?I appreciate any helpthanks

Hello , I'm a new ptc Créo user. I want to import a dxf file and work on as a sketch. When I import my dxf file , ptc créo tell me this : " You tested too many entities in the draft. When the manager of intentions is active, the treatmentof so much of entities is likely to take much time.You can click on selecting to open under windowand to select the entities to be imported"but I need everything in my dxf. Do you know a method to avoid this problem? ( I already change my DXF into DWG just for see and same problem !) ps : sorry , my bad english

Anyone been having this problem?Our company have problem with this ”EXT_COPY_GEOM_FEAT”What happens is when you open a model, even though it is set to hidden, you have to unhide and hide again, so it does not  show.Problem is the same on several computers, with several types of graphics-card and graphics driver versions. It came when we upgraded to Creo 3.0Our software is:PTC Creo 3.0 M040Windchill 10.2 M030

What is the purpose of the MessageFile in the Designate method? And why when I change the xrstring Label in the OTKInstallTest Application, it throws me the pfcXToolkitMsgNotFound exception?

I have tried every combination of selecting measures and a result set but cannot get the graph icon at the top to become enabled so that I can actually compute the measures.  I take it I am missing something obvious.
