In the attached image (from Mathcad Prime 3.1) I'm able to use vlookup with a single value. Is it possible to use it with a vector of input values and return a vector of values?

Hi   Attached is pdf file. If the value of h/1000 (See last page) is OK when used in isolation why is there a problem when it is used along with an equation. Program says there is an issue with units. Please advice.Sriprakash  

Hi   The value of sin (1.515) should be 0.026 as per the calculator. THe program however, reports 0.017 (please see attached). Kindly assist.   Sriprakash

Hi all. How can I input a variable U*= In Mathcad Prime 3.1. The * should either be a subscript or superscript of U. sometimes could be a bar over it or any other symbol like a prime. I see that in Mathcad Prime 3.1 I am limited to just letters as subscripts or superscripts only but not symbols.  I also want to do U' (primes) too equal to something but Mathcad Prime 3.1 wont let me. Is there a newer Mathcad prime version that can do it or how is this done in Mathcad Prime 3.1? Thank you for your attention.

Hi to allAccording to attachment file, i used type iii compensation network for feedback loop but when i change value of R2 from 12K to 15K ohm, crossover frequency give minus value and phase margin shift 360 degree! Can check my equations and solve my problem? Best RegardsSaeid Jabbari

Hi,Trying to extract/ pass data to MathCAD 15.0 using Vb.Net (VB 2010- Dotnet Framwork 4.0).We are trying to pass 2 values (“A”, & “B”) from Vb.Net to MathCAD and then performing a simple calculation of (C=A+B) in MathCAD and extracting the value of “C” from MathCAD back to Vb.Net.The project was developed as per the documentation available; but there seems to be minor issue in reading data from MathCAD.Sample project and test MathCAD attached. We will be thankful if someone can respond to our query.Thanks

Hi,   I have an extensive table with 5 columns (0 to 4) and more than 1000 rows! I want to select the values from dorp down lists for the first 4 variables (each variable in one of the first 4 columns). Then I want to find the row that contains all the exact values I selected previously so to find the value of the 5th column (4) at that row (the row with the exact values). No row in the entire table repeats.   Attached is the table in an excel file I will be using.   I would like to be able to select the Height, Width, HFX Condition, Bolt Diameter and then get the corresponding Seismic Allowable Shear value.     Any ideas? Hi   I was trying to develop a function to calculate flow depth in D-shaped Tunnel. My attached sheet calculates correctly for First Tunnel section. However for second tunnel, It is giving wrong result. In fact it is not changing parrments of tunnel, which I intend to.   please have a look at attached version 14 File.   Thanks in Advance   A. Hi, is there a relationship or compatibility between Mathcad Prime and Matlab? Which one is better for programming, setting equations, algorithms and displaying charts? (3Ds, pies, etc...)

I have noticed that both in the older versions of Mathcad, as well as the new Prime versions, there is an issue when using both feet and inches units in a worksheet.  It appears that in mathcad 1 ft is not exactly equal to 12 in (if you evaluate ft = 12in, the return vaule is 0).  I am assuming that this is a result of 1in being equal to 0.08333333333 ft.  This can become an issue when using the rounding functions when things are evenly divisible.  For example, 10 ft / 12in calculates to 10.000000000000002.  If you were to evaluate  ceil(10ft / 12in) the result would be 11 NOT 10.  Is there any way to resolve the internal threshold/rounding issue? 

Hello Community,  i am new here and also new in Mathcad.  I have the following task to solve and i dont know how to do it. I guess its just possible with programming well maybe someone can help me.    In the attached sheet i have some equations and i want to solve one particular thing. If i set number for kf, than i receive a curve (kbges(tw)). After that i am looking for the minimum of this curve and thats it. But what i wanna do now is, to set kf as a variable that my minimum for kbges equals to 255 (kbges=255).    So what i want mathcad to do is: set for example kf=26 , calculate kbges and if the minimum of kbges doesnt equal 255 it shall set kf=27 and so on. I dont know how to programm it but i think it should be possible ?    I tried everything. I set kf as a range variable form 25,25.001...40 but it doesnt work. I set kf as a  vektor well...the same. I tried to do it with slope ...read all help sheets but couldnt do it.... Than i

Das senden der Daten über "SetComplex" klappt ohne Probleme, das auslesen der Daten mit "GetComplex" bekomme ich jedoch nicht realisiert. Hello, In the attached file, the function p4(d,y1) calculates for a large set of parameters. Unfortunately, my Mathcad version does not support WRITEEXCEL routine to export and store the results. Currently I have to wait for a long time and if something intrrupt the calculation, I lose all the calculated data. Could you please suggest a better way to handle the outputs? I also appreciate it if you make some advices to speet up the calculation time.   All the best, Payman

I have a non-standard 2 point bvp. The endpoint is not known but needs to be determined as a condition on the forward problem. Then another condition needs to be satisfied at the end point. Presumably one way to do this would be to solve the foward problem step by step until the condition to determine the endpoint is met but this does not seem a very good use of the ode solvers. A worksheet that describes the problem better is attached. 

Good morning   Can anybody explain me this (see screenshot)?After the "=" in the matrix I see what are the right units (which are no units for the last 2 elements). But when I try to use them later, it looks as if the last 2 elements are in m.   I attached also the mathcad file. I use Mathcad prime 3.1   Thanks

Hello to all,  I've already look a lot in the forum, but I just couldn't find an answer to this, I guess, simple question. I have a matrix like this:        I want to extract the data from the fifth line of all the {5,1} and throw it in a different array. I have tried using Ctrl+6, but with no success. The second point is that I want, then, to create a 3D plot with the results. Anyone has a hint on how to accomplish these two matters ?   Thanks in advance,   Ricardo

We have created some windows programs to control input-Vars in prime 3.1 worksheets. This worked fine for Version 3.1 but not in 4.0: Mathcad prime crashes after sending some input vars. The error message refers to a corrupt heap. The automation dll of version 4 was referenced.   To verify the issue between Mathcad 3.1 and 4.0 I have created a worksheet in Mathcad 3 and imported that to Mathcad 4. I have also created two client-applications, one referencing automation dll of version 3 and the other to version 4. The line ClientApp3+Mathcad3 worked fine and ClientApp4+Mathcad4 crashed. The worksheets had identical content. Is there a bugfix available?   Mathcad Prime 4.0 Version: F000 (2017.02.26.001/4.0.0.54)    

[Issue Report] Some areas is damaged and cannot open in MathCAD Prime 4.0 M010 I just put some equotions in these areas. The mathcad file has error after i save the files and open it again, the error picture like these: And the error reason in log file is: "An unrecognized structure in the data format "XamlPackage"."                       I can't fix the .mcdx file, how to avoid this problem? hi all,  I have some parameters followed by some calculations. When i change a paramter above, the recalculation throws an error (circled by red box). I have to "disable" then "enable" the calculation region to get it to recalculate without error.   what can i do to get the sheet to recalculate properly?

Dear all,   I have to solve a nonlinear system of equations.   y1 = a11*x1 + a12*x2 + x1*x2...  y2 = a21*x1 + a21*x2 + x1*y1...  And so on...   So far, so good, solving the system is a piece of cake with Mathcad. But the thing is I want to solve the system for different values of, for instance, a11. I want to solve the system for a11 = 0,1 then store the result in a matrix, then for a11=0,2, store it, then solve it for 0,3 ... Here is where the problem starts since I'm having a bad time trying to use solve block inside a "for" loop (each iteration modifies the value of a11). Is this possible ? Are there any examples out there ? Any other options ? Thanks in advance.

I try to get formula for ellipse area in polar coordinates. I've got it but symbolic result is wrong. I can`t understand why? One more example with strange behaviour  

I set all the interfaces property to "Middle", but the results is still different between TAE automatic cacultation and MathCAD manual caculation, what kind of influence does interface makes to the caculation process? Would you mind tell me the fomula? (In this picture, you can see the results is different between TAE automatic cacultation and MathCAD manual caculation)  

I have inserted a Table in Mathcad Prime 4.0. If I select this table and want to move it within the sheet (select it twice to make it blue) the Table jumps to a region some 100 pages further down. Am I doing something wrong? Wybe
