Now that I have Mathcad Prime, I'm faced with the  problem of my literally thousands of worksheets done in MC14.I just did a search on the subject line above, but only got a thread in Russian, that seemed to be talking about going the other way.I'm assuming that an xmcd to mcdx converter must surely exist.  Where can I find it?  Thanks.

Hi, Today i started working in  mathcad prime 3.1 and i have got serious problem with units. Namely i calculate a value and i wanted to add a unit lm/W  -  for example Fi:=.....=145 lm/W and it showed me Fi:= ....= 145 (kg *m^2)/s^3*cd * lm/W but i would like to see only lm/W unit. Is that possible?

Hi all, if I have a long symbolic expression, that Mathcad returns the blank results, like the the coefficient of s^2 in this picture. If I want to show it, how can I get it? Thank you!

I use "Find" in a Solve Block in order to solve a system of non linear equations. I would like to change in auto-mode the guess values in order to solve the system for different values of the model parameters. How could I change the solution guess values for the solutions? Is for instance possible to include a solve block in the for loop of a code? Could you suggest a possible method?

With a good guess or with iterations (very much work) I can solve it. I downloaded a zip file from the PTC community from the following URL.        ·Finding the Shear Force and Bending Moment Along a... - PTC Community   After downloading and unzipping the file, I have a file extension of .mcdx (relations_between_distributed_load_shear_force_and_bending_moment.mcdx).  I tried to open this file in MathCAD however; the file fails to open.  How can I get this file to open?  I am using PTC MathCAD 15.  Should the extension be .xmcd?   Apperently the .mcdx files are for MathCAD Prime.  How can I convert MathCAD Prime files (.mcdx) into MathCAD 15 files (.xmcd).  I have tried simply changing the file extention but that did not work.   Regards, Thomas Henkel

Hi all, I want to use symbolic solver to convert a fourth order equation to the multiplication of two second order terms. All variables are real numbers. I defined the equation like this but Mathcad showed no solution for it. I attached the complete source code of Mathcad here. A big portion of this worksheet is the derivation of the left hand side of the equation, so you can simply ignore it (unless some of them are not executed by mathcad successfully). Would someone advise what is wrong with my solution? Can I put more restrictions in Mathcad, such as assume k0,k are real, to figure this out?Many thanks!

HiHow to solve for multiple variable with one condition?for example: how to solve this problem using mathcad program, I use mathcad prime 3.0if n>2m=x+y+zn=x+yp=x-y-zelsem=x*y*zn=x*yp=x*y/zI know how to solve one variable with multiple conditions using "if condition" in Mathcad. i.em=if n>2 then.........if else.........else............In this example I have accommodated few conditions for one variable. But in above program, there is one condition for few variables. and I don't want to use separate "if conditions" for each of the variable. I want to use one condition for each variable in one formula/block, if possible. Thanks Jahangir Hossain

Hi. I'm traying to use Prime. After a very good first impression, I must to say that may be it was premature. Have some few, and probably innocent questions:- How can add any (or all) operators and symbols ribbons elements to the kick access bar? Right click works with the Regions elements in the ribbon, but not for any other. Ribbon is not my enemy, but occupies to much screen space for my visual preferences.- Script components, where are you?- Object insertion, inside mcad worksheet (but not just for scripting)- Can't find how to add my own math style (in variables, units, function, etc.).- How can enter in debug mode?- Right click in math regions give nothing? There are no one contextual menu for math?- Where is the symbolic evaluation? Those hor or vert with or without lines insertions? (by diff given ... by integration gives ...).I can found more functionality in the hp prime calc or ti new calcs than in mcad prime.Thanks in advance.Alvaro.

I was looking at a worksheet with a rational exponent and it struck me once too often that it looks rather ugly as presented by default, plus the particular instance caused me a moment or two trying to work out what exactly was being divided.Would it be possible to add an option for a Division Slash ( /) as default and to replace the Division Sign (÷) (as per the ISO 80000-2)?Stuart÷

Hi All,Recently we starting using MathCad.  Our team made several math calculations in MathCad.  Then we selected all the calculations and copied then pasted them into a Word document as a image.  Part of the image was cut off (we are not sure why).  Is there a better way to import MathCad calculations to Word?  Thank You in advance for any help. We have a new computer for an employee to use now.  I need to transfer the Mathcad license from his old computer to his new computer.  Do I uninstall and re-install?  Thank you.
