I need to check if a given Document has any documents in its Structure. Depending on it I have to route Workflow.

All,During my investigation of ProjectLink's features and capabilities I came across an interesting behavior: When I add an user as a guest to the Project (Guest role in the local team) the user cannot find the Project via browsing, but when I send a link to project this user he/ she is able to see the Project... I have also confirmed that the user can also see and open documents inside the Project. Is this behavior the intended design? It seems odd to me that the guest user has permission to see the project but cannot browse for it... We haven't touched the configuration of ProjectLink therefore I'm assuming that everything is out-of-the-box on the ProjectLink side. We are running 10.2 M030-CPS09.Regards,Alex

Hello, I'm having a problem with a round bar that needs to be bent in two directions. See pic below. I thought Creo (3.0 M030) had a 3D sketch feature, which could be used in this case to make a sweep, but I can't seem to find it. Maybe I'm thinking of another program. Any ideas? I want to be able to do a search in Windchill for objects that are checked out by specific people.  I've seen this post below, but I don't get the same choice.In a Windchill search, is there a way to search for checked out modified CAD files in other users workspace?How do I set Windchill up to be able to add this to my search criteria? I have Orgadmin privileges.

The person who has created the subscription can edit the subscription but any other user does not have this option enabled .Where can I enable this option?

Very simplified quick background: My company basically sells a Thingworx extension.I am considering a design that utilizes the Category metadata field on a Property, but it would render the Category unusable (or best case less-usable) for our own customers on properties that we are defining in or creating from our package. So I am looking to find out how all of your fine folks may be using the Category field. I've never had a use case for this before so I have not spent much time thinking about it may be useful, especially given that the Composer help text states Property, Service and Event definitions support the concept of categorization, so that you may order them in logical groupings when accesssing them for scripting.(Also, just saw the spelling error on "accessing" at least on 7.0.3. Oops Composer team.)So, if you are using Category on Properties or Services or anywhere else that metadata field might exist, let me know the how or why so I can consider my future customer's needs.

Is it possible to save an assembly of parts with the 2d drawings of each part and of the assembly in a single file for sharing outside of my organization? The drawings need to maintain associativity obviously. Hello,I'm currently trying to set up a stream to store data.I created a service that store data into that stream and update the properties of the related thing.When I execute that service, the properties of the thing are updated but nothing appears in the stream.The service is not returning any error.I even tried to push data in the stream directly from the default service "AddStreamEntry" on the stream itself.And even if the service return no error, nothing is added in the stream.I'm wondering if it's not somehow related to the persistent provider (we are using Postgresql, and on a previous installation with default db everything was working fine)Any idea on what I am missing here?Thanks in advance

I downloaded Creo 3.0 student version, the first day i made some parts saved them and it work good, 2nd and 3rd day when making parts it would automatically close on me without any reason. would open the Creo and file restore, but when i try to save my work it would go off on me again and again.I also wanted to know if with this 3.0 student version, can i do stress analysis and mechanical analysis? as for i need it for school projects.can anyone helpThank you

In our company we have roaming licenses for Direct Drafting 18.1 and Direct Modeling 18.1. Direct Modeling is distributed both localized and with English UI.   The problem is that Direct Drafting is distributed only with localized UI. I am not the country native. Moreover, some components of localized Direct Drafting are not Unicode-compatible and become completely unreadable in English Windows 7.   How can I switch to standard English UI of Direct Drafting. Preferably English Win 9x UI style. So I am new to the nuances of updating marked out of date representations when lower level components are changed.  So a screw got checked in and marked 100's of assemblies as out of date and started to process them.  Which was okay.  But I decided that I needed to delete those for now and let them run another time.  Now when I make a change and those assemblies get marked out of date, they do not update the viewable.  It is like it will not process them again.  Needless to say, I do not delete anymore, but I do need to know how to get these to where they will update the next time that they need to or for them to get put back in the queue.  So far PTC does not have a solution so I am hoping some one here will have one.  I am on Windchill 10.2 m030.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Is it possible to update layout (background colors) by using services?

I would like to edit my weld symbols in Creo.  I don't know anything about this but from the brief research I have done have found where to do this.  I just don't know how or if there is a way better than what I am doing.  I go to the Symbol Gallery and retrieve my symbol to edit.  Below is a screenshot of what I get when trying to edit. It is a complete mess and I can't click what I want unless I move other things out of the way. Hi all,I'm trying to use the LikeFilter infotable function to filter some results in an infotable. For example, what if I want to show Result1 and Result2, not just Result1? I have tried incorporating forloops and a number of different syntax approaches, but I don't seem to be having luck.Any help is greatly appreciated!- Jon

Using Thingworx 7.1.2:We have noticed that if we call (via Thingworx REST calls) SetConfigurationTable and pass in some JSON with more than one property then calling GetConfigurationTable (again via REST) will return us the new values we set. However, looking at the configuration in the Thingworx composer shows us that these values have not been set. Restarting Tomcat confirms that the values are lost.We have also tried calling SaveConfigurationTables() after making these changes but that has no impact.Setting a single value in the SetConfigurationTable call works correctly and the changed value is persisted between tomcat restarts too (we left the SaveConfigurationTables() call in there, don't know if this was necessary but I assume it is otherwise what is this function there for?)So, my question is are we doing something wrong? Is there a step missing?Thanks - Brad

Does anyone have code that will require comments be entered before allowing a workflow task to be completed? I am looking at putting something in the transitions tab of that specific node, not global code.
