Hello All,I am trying to use the Simp Rep feature to create partial assembly stages of a complex assembly. If there a way of hiding sub assemblies, groups or patterned items?For example, I have a group of a nut bolt and washers, which I have patterned 6 times. At the moment it seems the only way I can hide them is by clicking each individual part and excluding them, total of 24 items. Seems a bit strange that I can't exclude the pattern ,which would hide everything, or at least on the group level, which would mean I have to exclude 6 things.Am I missing some thing? is there a way to exlude things based on groups/pattern or sub assembly.Thank you      This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.   Dear Mathcad Helper,As shown in the attached sheet, I am trying to solve a non-linear system with 2N+5 equations.  Among the 2N+5 equations, there are N+1 equations for one type of conditions, N+1 equation for another type of conditions and 3 individual separate equations.  The number of unknowns is 2N+5.  The unknowns are grouped in one (N+1)-vector, one N-vector and another 3 separate unknowns. Here are two questions:Is there a way to use correctly the range variable “i” in order to formulate in a compact manner the two types of conditions?  I have difficulties with the range variable “i”.Is the regrouping of unknowns within multiple separate arrays (i.e. B and η) legal within a Find function?  If not, what would be a nice solution?   Note:   So far, the only one way I have been able to solve (partially) the non-linear equation system is to defined N as a single integer value, to explicitly write all 2N+5 equations one by one, and

I believe the only way to do this is with a custom extension, but wanted to ask the collective before starting down that path.  I have a data structure being stored in a DataTable.  I need to export just my DataShape properties to JSON format.  I tried the DataExporter button and while it did give me a JSON dataset, it included entirely too much information.My DataShape has a few more properties than what I need in my export but basically it has a name property and two infotable properties (dataFields and allowedOperators) .  I need my export to look as follows:{ "id" : 1, "name": "protocol 1", "connections": { "datafields":  [ [ {"name": "Charter Med Lot No" }, {"name":"Donation No-Pooling Bag"}, {"name":"Donation No-Comp1"}, {"name":"Product Code-Comp1"}    ], [ {"name":"Donation No-Comp2"},    {"name":"Product Code-Comp2"} ], [ {"name":"Donation No-Comp3"},             

I'm exploring the C SDK on an RPi3 and the SteamSensor example fails to connect to ThingWorx.  I've followed the example from another post attempted various app keys from both users and admins in the accounts.  I've also tried connecting to the Vuforia pilot server with this approach, but i keep running inot the same error - "Error initializing SSL connection"  See screen cap below...  Any suggestions?  I've tried modifying main.c for both http and https and they both produce the same problem (our thingworx instance is not using HTTPS.

I have a file done on version 14 and I try opening it on version 15. I's grayed out unless I zoom in like 200%. Is there any button under some menu turned on and I don't know about it? Any help'd be appreciated.Thanks.

Is it possible to customize the time selector widget more then colors?I would like to change the text On/Off with another text and same thing for Refresh now.I am afraid that for thingworx widget it is not possible to get the ide and runtime javascript to customize them, is it?

Hi guys,I need urgent help with Creo 3.0 Student Edition. I am a student at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremnberg in Germany and downloaded, installed and registered correctly the software so far. For my master thesis I need to make a 3D-draft oft two cable harnesses. According to your website Creo 3.0 should be able to do that.But after I have started the programm, I can only choose a new draft type of (volume corpus, sheet and mass element). Cable harnesses are written in grey (please see attachment), so I can t select it.What can I do to choose that type? I ve downloaded the correct license from my university, there was only one. And that was automatically created during installation/registration.Please help ThanksBest regardsTom

I am preparing a rehost system to test WC11 migration on.If I copy all of my vaults over to the rehost machine today and then on Friday when I do the LDAP and Oracle backups, I take the last vaults from each type and recopy them, should that be sufficient? I have 4 main vault structures with folders under them that are set to roll-over to a new folder when the current one reaches 50K files. In 2 of the vaults, there are less than 50K files, so only 1 subfolder is in use. In the part library vault, there are 2 folders, one RO, one RW. These are the easy ones to just copy while the Oracle backup is running. The last vault is working in folder 46, so over 2 million files out there. If I just copy the last folder over while Oracle is being backed up will that catch all of the latest changes to our design.If my thinking is right, any new check-ins will create a new file in the latest folder and just the Oracle DB will be updated to the new pointers. Hello,For a Mathcad calculation I am trying to make use of an IF statement in Mathcad 15. At the top of the sheet I ask the user of the sheet whether they want calculation "A" or "B" through a List Box Control. I have set name "A" to correspond with value "0", and name "B" to correspond with value "1". This value is then stored as follows:Then further down in the Mathcad sheet, I want to make an IF program that calculates a function in one of two ways, depending on the value of Storage. I tried to make it like this, but that did not work:Does any of you have tips for me on how to do this? New to Creo 3.0 coming most recently from NX 8.5 (fun learning curve so far!).After a bunch of fumbling, I got my drawing to show the bolt-hole pattern with the dashed line, but I cannot get the diameter to display in the drawing for the pattern.I made the first hole as a diameter placement, used a pattern with the degrees/qty, and have the radial_axis_pattern_circle activated.Any help would be appreciated, thanks!This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi,I need to know the torque needed to move a mechanism, but I don't know to simulate this motion on MDO.I have the machine assembled with mechanisms. It consists of a "sliding table" assembled as a slider, and the motor's gear as a pin. The "table" is an assembly wich contains the motor and a solid to simulate the mass of the parts wich should go on the table.The motor's shaft has a gear on it's lower part, wich is the gear of the rack-pinion mechanism. To simulate this mechanism (and to relate the linear motion of the table with the rotation of the motor's shaft) I created a Rack-Pinion Gear connection between the slider and the pin.What I want to do is to simulate a linear motion of the system, and measure the torque needed to generate this motion. I have an assembly containing a number of instances of a sub-assembly.The sub-assemblies each have a moving component and the required connections and servo motors have been defined.My problem is that the moving components are supposed to move different distances depending on the sub-assembly in question.The servo motor in each instance runs for 10 seconds and the different movements is a result of different amplitudes (velocities in degrees/second) defined for each distance's servo motor.This works fine until I save and re-open the main assembly - all subassembly servo motors have then changed to have the same amplitude as the generic.I am looking for a way to assign the servo motor amplitude by means of a parameter which I then could include in the sub-assembly family table.Is this possible?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
