Hi, I am trying to solve the eigenvectors of matrix k-lambda*m, similar to [vec, val] = eig(k,m) in matllab.However, there is no such built in function in Mathcad. I write a similar equation in solve block,but mathcad tends to return to the trivial solution. Is there a way to restrain mathcad from producing trivial solutions?Thank you guys!BestShawn

Connecting to Windchill DTI changes the download mechanism preference to "Windchill DTI". But disconnecting/Un-installing DTI, does not change the preference to default. Need  to configure the auto preference change back to normal or an alert box denoting to change the preference manually.

I was installing PTC Creo Student Edition from the following link Creo K-12 Download | PTCand I just finished extracting and configuring PTC. But now, it says that my License requestfailed for feature whenever I try to open Parametric. To my understanding this doesn't meanthat my license has expired, but that it couldn't connect to PTC online to retrieve it.Could anyone give a suggestion about what to do from this point?

I'm trying to make a Mathcad file that can perform some basic statics calculations for a number of different load cases at once. I can get the solve block to work fine with single values for all my inputs, but once I try to start using arrays to run multiple situations at once, I keep getting a "This value must be an integer" error on one of the equations under the Given header. Any ideas, or am I just doing this the wrong way?

Good day all,I developed a stress analysis sheet however at the end there are some general equations that I have to represent some forces.However the plots have the corrct shape yet the axis values are off. For example my y-axis boundary conditions are 0 and about -80, yet the graph plots 0 and -800. My horizontal axis should be labelled from around 5 to 6 with 0.1 increments, yet shows 0.4 to around 0.52 with 0.1 increments.Can someone take a look and see if they can spot the problem ?

Hi,How to solve the cross domain issue in thingworx  while accessing REST API  i am getting the below error"No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource".As per thingworx support docs,In Platform subsystem i enabled the properties "Allow Request method switch" and disabled "Filter content type".Still i am facing the issue. Hello to everyone...I am trying to learn how mathcad uses arrays. I am looking at mathcad v.15's quicksheet example.Here is an excerpt that I don't understand at all.I am trying to create something similar myself......something simple, such as a variable with two colums and one row, but I am unable to reproduce that following the example mathcad provides. I have looked over all the help and quicksheets, but mathcad gleans over too much and doesn't come right out and specify how it is creating this kind of array --- with the braces "{a,b}" elements in the above "M" array....or matrix.Can someone shed some light on this please? I am stuck and out of ideas on my own.Thank you!

However I want to get the maximum f(e) value but I do not know how to do it.How do you obtain Maximum value and minimum values of f (y axis value) and e (x axis value) respectively. same for minimum value.And how can you do this within a specified range. Hello,In the Sandbox, I am working on a file which is checked-out.The work will continue for few weeks on the file.At the end of the work I want to check-in the file.But during the phase I am working with the file, I want to synchronize the recent contents from Sandbox area to Server Repository in case my PC hard-disk crashes.I will not loose the contents under that circumstance.Remember I don't want to create another version of the element by checking-in every day before leaving the office.Is there any mechanism to Synchronize either an element or the Sandbox contents to the Server repository, so that I always have another copy?In CM/Synergy, there is a similar feature. That's why I am asking that it might be possible in PTC also as they are both SCM tool.Thank you.Regards

In Mathcad15, is it possible to embed an object as an 'icon' in Mathcad file? I have many pictures and Excel files which contain the derivation/explanation for the equations I have written in Mathcad15. I basically want an icon linking to each picture which, when clicked, opens up the picture. I don't want to paste the picture in the Mathcad space.I tried Insert-->Object but using this opens a window for the Excel file. I want a icon which could be clicked and file could be opened.

Hello team, I have a designer who has completed the drawing and checked in to Windchill. There is no issue in Creo. But when the drawing representation is opened in Windchill, few datums in the GD&T are shown as -. see attached images comparing Creo on the left and and Windchill to the right: This is the first time Iam seeing such issue. Hi there,how can I force my engineers to use the comment field during check in process in Windchill?Is there a way like (if comments.length() =0 then error)? My first thought was to use modelcheck, but I guess this works only on the Creo side.Any suggestions?

I am using the ctrl+enter feature to make my equations fit on one page. every time I need to factor it spreads it back out across 5 pages and I have to do it again. is there a feature to keep the original format of the equation?

Hi all,Good day,I received a 3D part file from my customer and I want to generate internal 2D drawing from it.My problem is, there is a point where the "Annotate" feature cannot automatically detect its dimension. From my understanding, this is due to that specific point in the 3D part file received (no sketch line etc). Since I already know the dimension value, I create "R0.5" and "R1.0" using note. But how can I manually draw a proper dimension arrow in the 2D drawing? Does the "Sketch" tab work on this? Is there a way to display the Organization trees as shown (like below example) in a mashup?I also need to be able to view users/members and assets based on the organization hierarchy.People in the root unit/organizational group (ThingsOrganization) would be able to view the entire organization, users and assets.People in New Unit 3 would only be able to see New Unit 4 and New Unit 6 as well as the assets and users assigned to New Unit 4 and New Unit 6.Any advice/information on how I could approach this would be extremely helpful.Thanks,Paul

I'm working on solving an issue in our configuration, but I've run into a strange behavior. I would assume that all values set on the assignment tab of a trigger would be done regardless and ignore editability rules, as that is the behavior when setting values from inside a script. However, even though I have confirmed the suspected trigger is running, it doesn't appear to be doing its job. So I want to try to confirm or dispute the most likely reason: are the values not getting set because the assignment tab does not have the permission to change an uneditable field?Any additional information about exceptions to editability rules would be appreciated as well. I am plotting a tensile test plot of concrete. It suppose to look like a triangle. from 0 to max value f't and then come down to zero again. The left positive slope should be elastic modulus E and the right slope (negative slope) should be the same elastic modulus but divided by 10. I have already did the function but I see a step coming down in the triangle that should not be there. Can any one tell me what I am missing or doing wrong? Thank you.

We wish to sort Pro/E files and SolidWorks files into two separate folders in PDMLink v9.1 M062, within the same Product context. How can we set this to happen automatically by default ?For example we could have the folders /Default/MCAD/ProE and /Default/MCAD/SolidWorks (and each could have more sub-folders for any further 'manual' sorting).I guess we could create two sub-types of the 'Workgroup Manager CAD Document' type in the Type & Attribute Manager, and then we could quite easily write two simple OIRs that set the specific folders for each sub-type, but in this case how can we associate each of those sub-types with a specific authoring application (in the Type & Attribute Manager) ?Alternatively, I suppose we make use of the conditional logic facility within the OIRs to select the appropriate folder based on the authoring application, but how would we use the authoring application name within the OIR ?ie. we want to do something along the lines of...if AuthoringApplicatio
