Hey everyone,At work we have about 20,000 models and drawings of different gears and most of which fit into 4 categories. Some of them are on different formats though and our drawing format has changed over the years. I am looking to get all of the drawings on the same template so that our machinists never have to search around for a dimension, it will just be in the same sot every time. I have figured out the family table for the 4 Macro families and understand how to update those, but it would take way to many hours than its worth to individually update each drawing. I looked into repeat regions but in our drawings we use a front view, right view, and then a iso view in the top right corner so we do not have room to put a large table on the drawing. For example, if we wanted to switch 7,500 parts from a black oxide finish to a clear zinc finish is there a way to do a mass update through family tables instead of going into each drawing and manually changing the finish block in the tit

Hello all,l have a longtime problem, that has to be solve.Description:- inside Winchill can be each part only ONCE- l have a induction senzor, that is used many times in many project- it has a "variable" datum plane dimmension. Hi allI am attempting to assign properties to the User Extensions, I can get the default extensions to be assigned in a script fine. However, when adding extra User Extensions to the UserExtensions ThingShape I cannot assign these in a script. The following code is what I am using to attempt to do this. How can I get a field to substitute parameters when pulling data through the Excel integration?

Hello ~   I am a user to use creo 3.0. Colors assigned to faces disappear if model gets exported to PDF U3D (*pdf) and rotated in Adobe Acobat Reader. Creo 3, M040 In our launch batch files, I have a line that extracts the installed build code by looking in the Creo 2 installation folder: for /f "delims=" %%A in ('dir /a:d /b "C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 2.0\Common Files\"') do set BUILD=%%A This reliably extracts the installed build so I can set a path to parametric.exe. In Creo 3, this doesn't work as the build folder has been moved out of Common Files and into the main Creo 3 folder along with "Help" and "View Express". Hey folks,I'm trying to assign the number field to an attribute in Styler, but the number is not coming out on the page in the number field. It's coming out prior to the label and I'm still getting the page number from the PDF. In Pro/Wildfire ISDX we used to have a powerful little command called trace sketch.I now have a need for it in Creo 2 and the command is not even in the menu mapper.Where is it now?Did it fall off the Creo 2.0 ribbon? heyI am using Creo 2.0 (Date Code M120) with TK/OTK.In sample applications I found in the internet you can select a feature (via ProSolidFeatVisit()) and in return you'll get a model and information about the feature. I would like to visit all of the components/elements/features (whatever the modules a model is build of are called) and retrieve all the information without any user interaction.Basically I want to:start creo with desired *.prt/*.asm-fileauto-select all features/components/elements (without user interaction)retrieve all the information (like dimensions,...) Does anyone know how to force Creo View to use Document Mode 8 with Internet Explorer 11? We are running Windchill 10.1 M050, Creo Parametric 2.0 M140 and Creo View 3.0 M030. According to the PTC literature, all of these versions should be compatible with IE 11. We had to force Windchill to load in Document Mode 8 in order to get it to work. We are having an issue with Creo View, however, where it will not load CAD drawing or other images because its default IE document mode is 5. When using F12 to go to developer mode, we can manually change the document mode to 8 and then the image loads properly; however, as soon as a new Creo View session is loaded, the document mode defaults back to 5 and won't work again.Any ideas how to force Creo View to always use document mode 8 with IE 11?

Recently i am facing problems with isodraw 7.3, when we are working on illustrations suddenly the center lines disappear. if i 'zoom in' or 'zoom out' the center lines appears and disappears. Graphics could be the problem? Help me solve this issue.Aravind

Hi everyone!I've created an xml file with Creo schematics 3.0 successfully (when I clicked validate xml, it first sad: model_name not specified, I fixed that, and it seems to be good now). When I try to import it in Creo 2.0 it says an error (before I would do anything): "Failed to parse XML file". I click OK, and select the file I've exported, and Creo says it was imported successfully. When I auto designate the connectors, it finds them automatically as should, and as I checked it finds the ENTRY_PORTs too. It finds the wires too, when I try to add them in the "finding cables" dialog box, it looks good, I click OK, (see second picture) and nothing happens. The wires does not even appear in the "Route cables" dialog box (I guess if they would, Creo could find the routes to them). I don't really understand whats the problem here, I did everything according to the tutorials, but it doesn't seem to work correctly. I come from the Microsoft TFS world, and now i'm obviously working with Integrity. In TFS if you needed to setup CI for a branch you just created a build definition and linked it to the branch, and every time someone checked in a file a build would start. I see that Integrity seems to have a couple different branching concepts. One of these branch types is a build branch. What is this build branch and why would I want one?

We make extensive use of DITAVAL files in the documents for our product family.  I am looking for a way for writers to be able to specify a value from a DITAVAL file on an element in a DITA topic.If I look at the Profiling tab of the Modify Attributes dialog on an element, the otherprops field is a selection field; it is not editable.  Therefore, we seem to have only 2 options:Edit the DITA topic in an ASCII editor to add otherprops="xxxx" to an element, such as a paragraph element. I really do not want writers to edit DITA topics in an ASCII editor; that leads to all kinds of issues. 🙂Modify the ditabase.pcf to add the values specified in the DITAVAL file.  This is an issue, especially if writers are working on multiple products.  Each product has a completely separate set of DITAVAL values and they are not necessarily related.If the otherprops field in the Profiling tab was editable, that would seem to solve the issue because we could add the value (and specify t

Is there any way to convert older Creo files to a version that can be opened by Creo 3.0?

I am having some problems trying to get the working directory to set to the proper folder. I have two batch files wrote, one for network install and one for local computer install. On the local computer install I can't get the working directory to set right. Whatever I put in the "Start In" box in the Properties tab for the shortcut, is where it always defaults to. However in my batch file I have it set to look at username and designate the working directory based off of who is logged in... This works fine in the network install. the only difference between the two batch files is the Pro E Load Point. The rest is exactly the same. Both load Pro E perfectly with configs and mapkeys. Only difference is I can't get the Working directory to set per user. I know you can go to File and Set Working Directory but I don't want my users to have to do this everytime so I'm looking for a shortcut and don't understand why it is not working.Any Help would be greatly appreciated.This thread is inact
