Hello all..When creating a 2D plot, is there a way to have the plot show the horizontal axis ticks in terms of pi rather than real numbers?Here's a simple plot of f(x) = 2sin(4x)The horizontal axis shows -10, -5, 0, 5, 10I would like to add more ticks to this, but more importantly I would like them to be in tems of pi.I looked through some of the previous posts, and MC 15 help, but I haven't found anything pertinent.Any ideas?Thanks

Hello,I'm working with Direct Modeling 64bit 18.1 (M020) and experiencing a frustrating problem.I need to change Annotation default settings (viewport color, text, dimensions and so on) and am sure that this operation was already made in the past, since a customized set (created with version 17, with only viewport color changed) is present.Well, something seems wrong, since no change gets saved; nor creating a new style works. I close, start and no change is kept, the new style is not available.I see that a new lsp style file may be created manually copying an existing one in C:\PTC\Creo Elements\pM318\Setup\SD_GoldTop_pc\annot\2D_Interface\ConfigStyle\ANNOTATION\Default_Settings, anyway no further change will be saved in it. Hello, I am a student machine engineering and our proffesor recommended us to register AUDAX and PTC for downloading creo 2 student version for exercise.After several instalations and deinstalations not accepting licence at end I have problem with register Quality Agent, it*s written ¨if you call technical support about this problem report erorr 0x00000013 ¨ I use laptop Dell with windows 8. Hello PTC communityI am in desperate need of a hand to solve an apparently simple thermodynamics problem.I was able to get Mathcad to run my equations, but I am guessing I made a notation-related mistake somewhere in the file, and now I just can't figure out where! I've been going through all of it for hours, but with no success. I would be most glad if one could help me out here.The thing is:- The answer for Part A is correct. Part B and Part C aren't (in spite of being plausible), I checked it in the book. MathCAD Prime 3.0ISSUE 1: I have a square matrix representing collected test data. The data near zero is due to measurement inaccuracy. Thus, I would like to run it through a "filter" to make it zero in a resultant matrix. In Excel, a simple =if(x>1,x,if(x<-1,x,0) is the way to evaluate a given value. I have tried putting IF statements in a resultant matrix to "filter" the values, but Prime 3.0 crashes every time. What is a work around or better way to do this?ISSUE 2: Now after getting the above to work, I need a clever solution to comparing matricies. I would like to compare the resultant matrix from above to another same size square matrix relative to whether the value is zero, negative or positive. I am specfically looking for a sign change indicating a change in direction fo displacement between what is measured in a test and what is predicted in an FEA simulation. (For the curious: I am comparing the shape of a structure based on 3 points and their X, Y, Z positions.)Though

Hi All,I want to format/truncate the timestamp which appears for Created On/Last Modified On attributes in Local Time Zone format. I need only the date, not the time. I don't find anything in the preference manager to configure this. Any idea how to approach?Thanks,Wasim

Lately we have had our IT department send us alerts that the database that Windchill is using has too many "inactive sessions". Often more than 150. While I know that inactive session is perfectly normal state for a particular session to be in, 150 inactive sessions still sounds a too many. Our guess is that for some reason Windchill is not releasing the sessions that it establishes with the database. What can we check/tweak to stop the inactive sessions from getting piled up?

Hello, I use afx to create tubes for a frame. Specifically I use sheetmetal pipes to have the outside diameter and thickness I want. After I trim the tubes that intersect with each other (via profile cut out) I would like to unfold the tube to make a dxf of the 2d sketch.However when I open the tube "example_sm_pipe_10_fl.prt" the flat pattern fails to regenerate. What can I do to have the tube unfolded with its cut out? Thanks!

I am particularly new to Mathcad, and I was assigned a couple of problems in a Thermodynamics course I am taking. I would be most glad if somebody could please help me with a few issues I am having. They seem pretty simple and they must, in fact, be pretty easy to fix. I just couldn't really do it in spite of much effort, I'm guessing because of the little I have with Mathcad. There are two (very short) files, both with problems: 12.6 In this problem, the function "minimize" won't run, stating that "the variable is undefined". 12.20 The function "find" won't run, also stating that "the variable is undefined. So, it isn't much, but I could really use a hand here. Thanks

Hello, I'm trying to change the color of a part. This is because I want to made it stand out in an assembly, so I'm thinking bright pink instead of the standard turquoise. In WF2 I did this all the time. Now in Creo2 however, I can't get the Appearance Manager to co-operate with me. I can only select surfaces, not the entire part like I used to do. Any ideas? Anyone have suggestions for merging sketched curves in Creo 2 Parametric? Weve done this on a fairly regular basis in Wildfire 4, but now the instructions in Creo state "Click Restyle > Combine, select a curve, select another curve" When I choose Restyle, it tells me I don't have a license for that function.
