Hello,I want to automate the drilling process using XML – I am using UDFs to create holes and I want to add XML for drilling and threading. When I do this, I have, for example, 10 holes and 10 annotations with XML. In Process Manager, I call them, and even when I check AutoMerge, it inserts 10 drilling and threading operations instead of one merged drilling operation and one merged threading operation that would include all 10 holes in two operations instead of 20. I found this video (17:30) where it works, and I am not sure where I am making a mistake.https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Tips/Mfg-Automation-Tips-Techniques-Session-Recording-West-Coast/ta-p/820680

 I have a fresh installation of CREO 11.0 with a free university license, every time I open the CREOParametric software I get the following error, and when I click OK the program crashes: Licence Request Failed for Feature Requesting CREOPMA_Student3... Run ptcstatus.bat for server status   Any help is really appreciated 😉 

Hi All,   I'm quite new to customisation using web.link. I have a customisation that is very close to doing what I need, except that I cannot work out how to trigger a certain option. I have already worked out, from the documentation that the pfcModel.ExportIntf3D() instruction will use the default export profile for the export settings, which is OK. I can control this easily with our setup. However, when exporting manually there is the option "Customize Export", a check box in the "Save a Copy" dialogue box. If I use this, I can export my assembly with the origin point set to a coordinate system of my choosing. How can I either invoke this dialogue or set the origin of the export to an existing named coordinate system (e.g. "export_csys") in the assembly? Is this possible?  

Hi there, How can I draw the lines with specific points... in pervious thread we draw them each 200 m >>> Can it be drawn in specific distance using these values ( using the metreage values)I tried to change the markers  and then I need to find the distance between these new lines and all the (Se-CPTs) points .  the distance between  the green point and the nearest metreage line And then showing them in a plot .BTW>> I start using mathcad prime 10Everytime I struggle in mathcad I say I will do it myself , but it is new concept eachtime and I can't reach what I need without your help. Where is the location in CWC UI where we can see the bill of material. the service ImportBOM_END on the thing PTC.FSU.CORE.Product.EndPoint_TG in CWC shows success message. But I am unable to see the BOM. Also, in the route manager, I get the message that no Bill of material is assigned for the product.

Lets say I have a Creo part file in engineering. It has multiple combined states, layers, appearance states, MBD dimensions, colors etc etc added to it.  I want to make a copy of this file (for manufacturing) ...that is still linked to the origin engineering file. While also keeping the combined states, MBD dimensions, and colors etc etc of the original engineering file.   One way linked? Where If i change the engineering file...it will alter the manufacturing file, but changing the manufacturing file will NOT change the base engineering file? Is this possible? I was originally thinking of making an assembly. Adding in the original engineering part into the assembly. Then adding in a blank manufacturing part also into the assembly. Then doing a copy/solidify of the engineering file into the manufacturing file.  But I think I will lose all my combined states, colors, etc. Any other workarounds? I'm trying to keep these linked,

Hi, i did create a template and this template has a thing shape in it, now i did create inside the thing shape an alert for a property and when i go to the alerts section inside the thing shape i can see the alert no problem and the thing that i created with this template also sees the alert in its properties & alerts section , when i try to change the property from zero to 1 to trigger the alarm manually  the alarm status does not change at all what am I missing ?

When entering a search on the forum, you can add various filters.   When you chose "author", there is a drop down arrow. Could you make the author of the search for the post (myself) automatically the first drop down for this category? Sometime when trying to help others, I remember either a comment I made on someone else's post or a question I posted some time ago.

I've noticed that in TWX 9.5, a selected row is deselected when they are clicked on again.  How can I prevent this?  I don't want the row to be deselectable unless a different row is clicked on.

How to enable 'Advanced Assembly Extension' by default whenever Creo is opened. We had Creo 7 previously where it was enabled always. After upgrading to Creo 9, we have to go options and enable the extension manually every time we open Creo. What setting we need to change to get it enabled permanently.
