Hello,  I'm new to Creo View eCAD, but after working with the PTC service team, we are able to open up .pcb files from Siemens Xpedition inside of Creo View eCAD. In demos of Creo View eCAD (which are over a decade old), this can be taken a step further and married to the mCAD model of that circuit card assembly.  How do we marry eCAD & mCAD files in Creo View so that we can view both as once, like the image below:

Hi everyone,I am using Thingworx 8.5 version I have a data in grid coming from database through sql services now what I am thinking is suppose on grid data if user click on any row there should be a pop which should be opening the meta data related to that data like suppose we have student data in grid and column are like Name School, Address and each student have some meta data like ex: Ram when user hover over Ram it should be giving its meta meta data information   similary for each row having having meta data so can I do this in thingworx if yes then How  please give me a detailed overview if it is possible in thingworx  I am thinking of Child data Tree grid  advanced widget  but not sure how can I do that  If anyone have any please let me know   Best Regards,Lav.

Hi,   I am upgrading a Thingworx from 8.4.2 to 9.3+. The customer was using the Thingworx Navigate extension, and as per them, they did not have any License for Thingworx Navigate,When I upgrade, the Thingworx Navigate Extension is no longer working due to the Java Version compatibility.Therefore, I have installed Thingworx Navigate using the installer, but as per Navigate, many features need the Navigate License.So, has the licensing changed from Thingworx 8.4.2 to 9.3+?And what is the difference between Thingworx Extension vs Thingworx Navigate installation?Thanks,

I am looking at getting a new machine for large assemblies, cost is not important. Due to Creo being largely a single threaded program I want to get the Core i9 13900KS. My company has a contract with Dell (although there may be some wiggle room there). Unfortunately it appears that Dell doesn't sell the Core i9 13900KS with workstations.   I am looking at a XPS machine that they sell but it has a NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4090 gaming card in it. Has anyone tried to run Creo with a gaming graphics card? Ideally I would like to be able to run Creo Simulate Live and it appears to me that this graphics card is not supported.   Any other thoughts for those of you who have spec'ed out machines specifically for large assemblies?

Hello ! I am trying to get a very simple plot, of the bisector in the first quadrant. For my application I am interested to have a graph for the range of relatively high values of abscissa, e.g. from 100000 up to 500000, like in the top left figure in the attached file (Mathcad Prime 8).I’ve tried both “Plot” and “Chart Component”.I am curious about what I have done wrong in my humble tries. Thinking that such graphs can be carried out so smoothly in Mcd 15 in one minute…, thank you for any suggestion, best regards,Liv.

This month’s challenge has a simulation theme. Many products have requirements regarding the ability to survive multiple drops from a given height. Your challenge is to simulate a drop test in Creo Parametric. Many people have a technique for simulating drops; if you don’t, how would you create one? You can use Creo Ansys Simulation, Creo Simulation Live, Creo Simulate, Mechanism Design Extension (MDX), Mechanism Dynamics Option (MDO), or any other module you see fit.     You may use any model of your choice; a simple block will suffice if that’s all you have. You can drop your object from any height that you choose, although heights of 4 to 8 feet (approximately 1.25 to 2.5 meters) are common. You can choose any orientation for your object; please do not feel like you have to follow guidance of sources like MIL-STD-810 with multiple orientations and multiple simulated drops. You can choose whatever results that you want to convey, such as stress contour plots, displacement

While I try to install ThingWorx, I always get post-install error. I attached screenshots of that and install log. If you can help me, I'll be really grateful about it.

Hi Community,   To give some context, I have created a workflow service in DEV environment in order to perform series of tasks that would send alerts. The workflow which was created is working fine as expected. However, when I tried to Import workflow in QA by exporting from the DEV environment, I am receiving following error in ThingWorx application log.   Error: ACCESS_REFUSED - Login was refused using authentication mechanism PLAIN. For details see the broker logfile   Can you please suggest how to resolved this issue?    Note: I am not facing any issue creating new Workflows  manually in QA. I am only facing issue with import.     

I am using Creo Parametric version 7. I am trying to rename one Co-ordinate as alphabet "A"(Upper Case) and in the same model tree i want to create one mote Co-ordinate and named as alphabet  "a"(Smaller Case). Is there any way it can be done. Please guide me if anyone knows a process.But i have a requirement where i want to name coordinate in the same way.

Hi,   I have a Data shape with Friendly Names, I have an infotable where I have renamed the columns as per the Fields of the DataShape which has the Friendly Names and is assigned to the result(a infotable which is created based on the DataShape which has the Friendly Names).When this is done, friendly names are not getting applied on the Runtime.   Thanks,

As you can tell, doing some vault maintenance. This is my current setup. I want to shift this to a new storage volume and enable automatic folder creation which I believe is done by creating a new vault. Is it possible to "change" the defaultuploadvault to a new one? Since there are no vaulting rules which tied to this vault, how is revaulting accomplished?   Second part is some weirdness I saw in this vault counts.  FVItem count is 90K but there is also MasteredOnReplicaitem count of 740K files. I would think that this vault should be small as items are uploaded and moved to the master vaults. Any clean up steps needed here? What that heck is MasteredOnReplicaitem?    

Look like PTC made a change that checks that a Comment on a task is made by the person who has the task?So, if a Product Manager (library manager) completes a task for another person and comments are required they must first re-assign the task to themselves or an error will pop-up saying comments are required even when the admin as added comments.Looks like the system is checking that the comments where added by the person who has the task. When did this happen?

Hi Community; When I search to add participants in the Set Up Participants table, it gives a "No Result Found" warning. How can I show Windcihll users in the search when adding participants. How can I fix this situation?     

Goodmorning to everyone, I use Creo 8.0.9.0 and I'm wondering how to create an animation based on a MDO analisys that has the "real time duration". If I set the time.duration of 10 seconds, I expect this duration will be respected when I make the video exportation; all of this means the mechanism has the real velocity.  If the mechanism is simple,  more or less the duration/velocity is respected; if the animation is a bit complicated, the "post-production" video will be longher. Is there the possibility to impose the video exportation duration?

I have my background color set to black.  Within the background color setting I have enabled gradient which is set to an off-white color gradient in modelspace. This combination gives me a gradient background in model space and a black background in sketcher.  This is exactly as I want it. I would like my drawings to come up in an off-white color.  The drawing color currently follows the black background setting.Is there a way set a drawing background color independent of the model space background color and the sketcher background color?Thank you!
