I am moving vaults to a new NetApp volume and making long overdue changes to automatically create folders for that vault. I have 3 vaults that I will reduce to 2 so wt.fv.forceContentToVault is set to false properly (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS68929?source=search. I also have the following set: wt.fv.useFvFileThreshold=falsewt.fv.useVaultsForAllContent=true I know in the past we hit some NetApp or OS limit on the number of files in a single folder but I think that limit might not exist (except for max number of files on entire volume). The vault folders currently have anywhere from 100K, 300K to 1M files in them and I have had no issues (xfs or ext4 I think). So the question is, does setting a limit even matter anymore?

Hi, I updated a Thing shape with some new services and properties, and I changed the code from an existing service.  This Thing Shape is added to a Thing template, which is used to created several Things based on this Template.On both the template and the derived things, the new properties and services are shown, but the existing service still has the old code instead of the updated code from the shape.I tried refreshing to clear cache, but still the old code is showing. I don't see any errors in the logs and if I try the same code on a new service, it works. So I'm pretty sure the code itself is ok.Is there anything else, that can prevent an inherited service to update?thanks in advance for you tips.

Hi Everyone, My Doubt is like suppose I have a service which store windchill data into Thingworx database from so what is I want is schedule a time on that service so that it will automatically get executed on each specified time interval for that I know there is auto refresh widget in thingworx but How will I get the timing that when this service get executed like I am Thiking to create a property (Date Time) which store the recent time when the service get executed so to to this what I have to do Like any code change or something else  please suggest if anyone have any idea. Thanks and Regards,Lav

Hi, I am using Creo parametric 4.0 with the AAX.I created a part using copy geometry references from a skeleton model, and noticed that when creating a drawing and adding a view, the view size seems to include the copy geometry feature.this would not really be a problem because it does not seem to affect the drawing size itself when exported. but it does not allow me to use something like the PTC ModelCHECK to find the OVERALL_SIZE of the part.is there a way to hide the copy geometry feature so that only the solid geometry is being shown in the drawing's view borders and such.

Migrated my Mathcad Prime 9 to a new Windows 11 PC, moved license to new Host ID, etc.  Prime 9 seems to work as usual.  But the Legacy Converter always fails and aborts - no message as to why.  The Mathcad Converter folder is present with what appears all the .dll's and the  mccnv.exe  executable.   Something else I need to do to bring this back to life?  

I'm trying to make a simple program to select values based on the Size variable.  But the use of "Size" in the program returns False.  However, if I assign Size to "x", and use it in the program, it works fine.  I don't understand why.  See attached. Thank you in advance.

I want to create an aerofoil with ribs and spars like below. The curve that I have made doesn't allow me to extrude it, therefore I have to use the 'spline' tool to sketch over the points. However sketching over the points makes the aerofoil inaccurate. Is there any other way of doing it. I can't use the blend tool because I want to show the aerofoil in its individual parts like below.  Thanks very much.

The install documentation specifically mentions Tomcat 8.5 and when I try to install the APE with Tomcat 9, the "Tomcat is installed on this system. Do you want to integrate PE with Tomcat?" does not seem to appear during the install. Thanks.

I use Creo Parametric 9.0 / folded metal sheet should be bent again I have to construct a folded sheet metal strip with a 90° bend. The folding (180° tab) of the sheet is no problem, but the bending of the folded sheet.  Are there any ideas?  

Hello everyone,  Can you please help me?I´d like to know, if there is possibility to create new template for ECR that will allow me to choose between two or more options, when creating an ECR.   I would like to use it for a bit different process (almost identical process wise) but with different participants.  I know, there is a possibility to create new templates for ECN (tried that and worked well), however I would need separate the two processes on ECR level.  Thank you in advance for your feedback 🙂  

It's been a year since this post and there are newer versions released. Is there a solution for this? If it's not the built-in behavior, I'd like to specify that if the new value is null, then set the value to the default value. Why else would there be a default value? I've entered a default, value; I shouldn't need to write a bunch of code for the default value to mean something more than documentation.

Hi All I was curious to understand whether it's right to create a representation from a part(that has a owner link with a CAD Doc) that is checked-out? If yes, what is the difference between creating a representation when a part is checked-out and checked-in? And I also found a difference with Create New representation wizard, when a part is checked out and I create a representation I see the 4 step wizard(Define rep, Set EPM config, Structure Type, confirm choices) when it's not checked-out it's just 2 steps(Define rep and input source)? Can you tell me how can it be done? Thanks

Hi everyone,I am getting data from from windchill and then storing it into thingworx locally so what I want is user should have flexibility to refresh the data and it should also showing at the mashup UI like when the data refreshed last time like that so to achieve this what should I have to do  like what is happening in the background (Windchiil system) may be some data gets updated so in that case user want to see live data and the time when he refresh so what should I have to do implement this kind of problem I am thinking of a scheduler which should be running after each specified time and also thinking to  give user flexibility to see the data refreshed  so how can I implement it  Regards,Lav
