I want a new part instance to follow our standard versioning scheme, but it appears to be a different scheme (starts at Rev A). How is versioning controlled on part instances? I can't seem to find any information on this subject or a PTC support article.

After installing 9.4.1, I opened a large project in a web browser and none of the grids were showing in the mashups. After opening a mashup in composer, I saw this Warning (pic1), and where the Grid Widget should have been, was now blank, and the new Grid Widget does not show in Widgets (pic2). pic1:pic1 pic2:pic2    I checked the release documentation before the install of 9.4.1, and as expected for a new widget introduced in ThingWorx 9, there was not mention of it being removed. When I found this odd issue after the install, I opened a case with PTC Tech Support, have not received  any help yet... I used “MED-61212-CD-094_SP1_ThingWorx-Foundation-Installer-mssql-windows-9-4-1.zip” for the install, if not already done, that should be removed as a download option? Is there a way to manually add the new Grid Widget?

Have a Micrologix 1400 on Ethernet controlling a Filter Bank. The PLC5/60 is on a DH+ network and connected to a DCS via Kepware v5.8.109. Looking to add control from the PLC5/60 to add controls to the Micrologix 1400. Is this possible?

I've been tracking a vexing issue for a few weeks now. I would get a note from the users that they are not seeing emails, publishing has stopped or workflows are not working. Quick check on System monitor shows red lights on BGMS: Threshold of average active method contexts exceeded; average active contexts: 135.0001  It appears as if no queue jobs are transacting. This will persist until I whack the BGMS process and it auto-restarts. Queue jobs start processing normally and there is an email flood. What is strange is this often occurs at night or weekends. I am checking with IT to make sure this is not an external job that is running. I would think if it was DB related, it would settle back down once issue is resolved. I am still investigating issues on that front. I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM140Hello, I am trying to show a message in creo window with a pop up dialog box as described in page 44 of the vb api user guide for creo 4.0, but I have two issues with it :1 : although the method is supposed to allow not having any options, when I try just show my message with no options I get an Null exception error raised because the options are not given.2 : There is no clear explaination on how to create the options and use the different option methods like the DefaultButton or MessageDialogType for instance. @MartinHanak - I have read reams of suggestions on printing and pen tables - so much so that I have lost track of all the helpful information.  Many of these strings are closed....I see you have offered help with pen tables previously so I am hoping you can steer me in the right direction.I have nearly what I want without a pen table when I export to pdf (color, use pen table) my quilts are exporting as yellow and I would prefer them to be black (thin lines)So, instead of defining all the pens I was trying to just target the pen(s) that I thought were directed to quilts and quilt edges... I have downloaded and used the student free license before but I have a new computer and need to download it on this computer. When I filled out the little form to request the license before it would just send me to the page to download but now it says "Please wait while your request is being submitted...". Am I waiting for a physical person to approve me or did I do something wrong? If I am waiting to get approved, how long does it usually take? I was planning on downloading today and then using it today.

I created a couple of properties in a ThingTemplate and I wanted to retrieve them using the service "GetPropertyDefinations" but there is no data in a result . so how  can I retrieve the Property names from ThingTemplate?                      

I downloaded and use Creo Parametric and Creo Illustrate. I then downloaded the Vuforia Studio install off the same education website. I can create projects just fine in Vuforia Studio. But when I try to publish the project I always get the error:" localhost 3000 says Missing Required Information". I believe the error is because I don't have the Default Experience Service URL set correctly and don't know what it should be. Can you publish with the educational version of Vuforia Studio? And if you can, what setting should I use? Thanks for any assistance.

Hi! Is there any way that a ThingWorx mashup can be invoked through a POST Request with parameters? The data that we are trying to pass is of sensitive nature and we would like it to be hidden. If this is not possible in ThingWorx whats the recommended way to implement this? Note: I have tried Mashup parameters and am able to pass the data via URL formation but ideally we would like the parameters to not be visible. Thanks,Ashish Tamhane

Hello, Currently working in Creo 7.0.2.0, and was hoping to get some clarification on some of the moment of inertia calculations Creo can perform. For the assembly at hand, there is a "true reference frame," (TRF) which is what I need to calculate moments, CG distance references, etc. from. Going in part by part to find these values, I come across two MOI tensors, and I'm unsure exactly what the difference between the two are. Hello, I am posting a question because I need a way to access windchill with my Galaxy Tab or iPad.What I want to do now is to access windchill using a tablet and check 3D through Creoviewer.As far as I know, windchill has stopped supporting mobile from version 11, so I would like to ask if there is any other way.The point is1. Can effectivity be exported while exporting the part in windchill as a jar or spreadsheet?

Hello community! I am looking through the PTC | Windchill code right now and I am encountering a lot of if(RemoteMethodServer.ServerFlag) { run code } else { remoteMethodServer.invoke(...)} constructs. I am figuring this means something like "If the code is executed server-side then continue, otherwise invoke the method on the particular method server". But where would this code be executed, if not on the method server? Can anyone please give me a better / more technical explanation. Why is it important to use this construct and when should you use it? Thanks in advance and best regards

I have one attribute and enabled a constraint string , length of string is 1200, however on information it is not showing the complete value, it truncated the string after 700 characters. To see the complete value I have to edit it.

We're trying to get our Kepware installation up-to-date on licensing...which it would seem like it is, but we still get the constant nag about "one or more features are time-limited."What am I missing?  Is there another license that we're still missing?Please see attached image.  Thanks!
