Hey,  So I have been using Creo for the past six months at home, and creo worked fine but when I decided to use creo at my school I kept getting a license error message (screenshot below) and two other errors saying AFX and IFX failed to load after this creo closes. Any idea how to fix this problem?

I'm stuck!  I am trying to use Creo Distributed Batch to generate renderings of CAD Objects from Windchill.  When accessing objects in a Windchill workspace Creo Distributed Batch generates a TTD file that includes a <SECURITY> tag.  The contents of the tag enables the Resource Service (worker) to access files in Windchill a workspace or the commonspace through an anonymous URL.   The <SECURITY> tag is temporal and quickly expires.    See the attached file for a sample TTD file sent to the Service Manager.  So, . . .   How do I generate the contents of the <SECURITY> tag in the Creo Distributed Batch TTD file? A few associated notes.Creo Distributed Batch requires a user to authenticate to Windchill using a username and password.  Form Based Authentication (FBA) is incompatible.  This is unlike Creo Parametric, View, Illustrate, Schematic, etc. and the Windchill workgroup manager.  Additionally, Creo Dis

Hello all, I got a question from a colleague on how they can automatically select a node in a tree widget after refreshing their 9.3 mashup. I recommended that they use the "localStorage" object in an expression, as I had used it before (in 9.1). But it seems like after the update from "Type" : "expression" to "Type" : "expression2" (the security update) this is no longer working. We also saw that the sessionStorage object has been depricated in this PTC help center article I just wanted to clarify what our options are. This PTC help center article talks about session parameters, but that they only last during the session and that the recommended way for session breaking parameters is to store this type of information in a database or on a thing. Is this the proper way going forward? Thanks,Jens

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeF000I'm trying to make a .frm to use as a base sheet for multiple drawings. There is a section where some data will be manually input like height, weight, and length, and I'm trying to find a way to make other squares on the table auto spit out the metric version of the input data.For instance, I would manually input 50 (in) into the length and the table auto fills the square next to it with 1270 (mm).Alternatively, if set up parameters so the table would grab the weight (lbs) and then auto calculate the weight (kgs).I get that I need to use relations to do this but I'm unclear on how to do the relation.Thanks in advance.

when the user launches creo illustrate 7.0 is ask for the license path. The path is in there and correct however when you hit save it just keeps the license screen open and never launches the program.If i right click Creo Illustrate and select run as admin and put in my admin credentials the program launches without issue.Local users do have modify rights to the PTC license folder.    

Hello, I have a workflow activity which gets assigned to multiple roles, lets say RoleA and RoleB. My requirement is whenever Rework was selected by any user in RoleA, RoleB's activity should get closed and Rework path must be taken. Only in case of Approval, both roles needs to vote. Background Information:i) The activity is of type Any and Required field is selected.ii) I introduced the WfTally APIs in routing expression, but they do not seem to be executed when one role completes the task. Regards,Sha

I am unable to acquire the necessary license to run the PTC Mathcad Express (I want to try the full PTC Mathcad functionality for 30 days). Every time I attempt to activate my PTC Mathcad Prime 8.0.0.0 I run into the following error in the "Acquire License" tab: "You have reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type."Furthermore, within the PTC Mathcad options tab, I get the following message:"2/15/2023 4:32:00 PM : The license request failed.Requesting MathcadPrime ...C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\license\MathcadLicense.dat: (-10) Feature has expired."Any help debugging this problem would be much appreciated as I would like to do my free 30 trial error before deciding whether or not to update my account to Mathcad Prime 8.Thank you!

Hello, I am a professor at university and I need a Creo licence for home to give my lectures to students. I downloaded Creo 8.0 from PTC website and I write that I am a professor, but I think I have a student licence. I cannot access the NC assembly (Manufacturing type).How can I get the educational edition licence and how can I change it once I have downloaded Creo? Thank you for your answers.    

Hello, I am having some problems with the auto evaluation of my expressions.One is working fine, evaluating automatically (with no event trigger).But the other one is not evaluating. They are pretty much the same expression, however one of them have some input bound: Both have these settings: The code is just some logging (have tested with using event trigger and they both work, logging to console as they are supposed to. Code:Working expression: Not working expression: Am I missing something with the functionality of the expression function?Anyone else that have had similar issues? I have tried this on 9.1 and 9.3, both seem to behave in the same way.

How do I find the name of the variable that has the maximum value in a set of data. For example, if I have x=3, y=5 and z=2. I want to find the variable name for the maximum value. In this case it would be "y".  

When I enter my new liscence key, it always tell me to try later. So I looked at the email and since i'm on the student version, it tells me that I need to send my student id and a proof of scholarity but there is no email mentioned for me to send it. Where do i send it? And is that why I can't activate my liscence key?

Hello, I have been having problems with my Creo 9 (Student Edition) installation.When I try to open the Surface Finish Gallery or the Hatching Configurator I keep getting the warning that the corresponding file "was created with a commercial version of Creo Parametric and is not compatible with the Creo Parametric Student Edition (for educational use only) you are running." after which the program shuts down completely.I am sure this problem extends beyond the mentioned configuration files.A re-installation of Creo did not fix this (neither did a second one).There has not been any other version of Creo installed on my computer, nor have I uses any other license apart from the Student license I am currently using.Is there a way to fix this problem?Is it even wise to use the most recent version of Creo or are previous versions generally more stable? Thanks in advance for any input.

Good evening to All,I have a set of Thing in which there are 2 properties, the first 'A' is a property whose valor are updated by kepware, while the second property 'B' is an infotable that must contain all the variations of property 'A'. In particular 'A' must contain the last 500 variations of property 'B'. Whenever the value of property 'B' changes the value is saved in infotable 'B', if the number of rows in the infotable exceeds the number of 500 then the first element is deleted. It often happens that out of 160 different values of 'A' in the infotable 'B' a number of values between 113 and 16590 (but never 160) are saved. In the ScriptLog all values entered in infotable 'B' are tracked, but in the infotable some values are missing.No errors are reported but some data are always missing.The 160 different values arrive from kepware within 2 minutes.For the following tasks I need the infotable 'B' to contain all the variations of property 'A'.I have Thingworx 8.5.18 and kepware 6.2
