Hi! I do not manage to download PTC Mathcad Prime 8.0.0.0. During the installation process, when I click on "Acquire License", a warning message comes up, saying "License service appears to be busy. Please try again." I have "tried again" a couple of times without success, so I am wondering what to do to make the installation work?      

Currently I have a Thingworx Platform installed and licensed on a server. I need to reset the server to factory default (reinstall the OS etc) , all data will be cleared. After that I will need to reinstall the Thingworx and get it licensed again. Am I supposed to remove the currently activated license first before proceed to reset the server? Is there any guide which I can refer to? 

How to remove unwanted String that is displaying in excel file which is developed using java(Eclipse Plugin for ThingWorx Extension Development I am getting unwanted string at specific line number as   for example : ??????????I am not passing this string "??????????" anywhere in the code. InputStream in=TestThingShape.class.getResourceAsStream("demo.xlsx"); I am not sure about where demo.xlsx is placed in the Thingworx server.Please help me over here.            

Hello to everybody,after the last automatic Windows 11 update, when I try to make a 3D plot, the following error message appears (in Italian) "Eccezione generata dalla destinazione della chiamata", which in English, more or less, corresponds to "Exception generated by call destination".Probably, the Windows update has modified some files used by Mathcad 15 for creating 3D plots.Please, can someone help me to recover that Mathcad 15 feature?Thank you very much,Sarah   

We have some very old pencil drawings that we store in Windchill as PDF files.  These drawings are tabulated, we call them chart drawings.  For example, the pdf drawing's name and number is "1780-1" in Windchill.  On this drawing, are tabulated parts that might be named FP0001 thru FP0032.  We want to be able to link all 32 of the tabulated part numbers to the PDF file in some way so that if we search "FP0017", Windchill will pull up the "1780-1" pdf drawing.   We are OK adding these "FP" numbers manually into Windchill, we just don't know how or where to do this exactly and be able to search by these "FP" numbers.

How can I find my serial number on PTC Creo 7.0 ( I am using a client computer not a server computer)?

Occasionally, I'll insert a Visio object into MathCAD Prime (I'm using version 8) using copy/past (ctrl-c & ctrl-v).  This works and it's pretty much fine for most things - but I did notice the images look a tad fuzzy.    Is there anyway to improve upon this? It seems that copy/past from Visio to MathCAD Prime inserts an image into Prime - that is, the copied object is converted to an image upon pasting into Prime.  Is that correct?  If so, is there a way to increase the image resolution? I poked around attempting to insert an OLE object using Input/Output tab > Insert Object.  Maybe I don't know the best way to insert an OLE object - as my initial attempts were very sub-optimal - and difficult to work with compared to the simple action of copying and pasting objects. Any ideas? 

Hi Everyone,  I need help trying to figure out what the buw folder file is:  It seems like it contains two folders named AFX and IFX. I am assuming it is some type of cache or templates maybe? Currently, this folder is sitting in my documents where I have important documents that I use on a daily basis, and having this folder sitting there maybe seems like a bad idea. Is there any way I change the default location of that folder? If so, do you know how I can do that?  thank you so much in advance!    

In earlier versions of Mathcad Prime, I could write the following expression:Simply put, I could define a variable symbolically and display the answer.  With the changes to the symbolic engine on Primate, this can no longer be done:This feature was great because I often used Mathcad during Engineering lectures to work examples problems.  My work around is:The first properly should use the symbolic equal to "=" and not the mathematical definition ":=" but it still works.  Anyone have any better suggestions or work arounds? Bob 

Hello, I need to use Thingworx and docker in an environment whose network connection is limited. In this case my automatic license verification obviously doesn't work. I need to ask network admin to unblock/whitelist specific URL and port. What URL and port is used to validate the license? I cannot find this information anywhere.

Hi all,We currently have a PC in desperate need of upgrading to Windows 10.I have two drives inside, one boots Windows 7 (HDD) with a working, licensed Creo installation, the other is on Windows 10 (SSD) - this currently has Creo 4.0 'Parametric Simulate Direct Layout' (as it says on the back of the DVD box) , but I cannot get the license to work despite requesting a new one from the license portal on the website.So, I'd just like to know if the procedure to transfer the license is any different? It has the same MAC address, but the computer has a different host name (edit - NOT a different domain name!). I'm quite new to the organisation and there's no documentation on how this was installed previously,. The guides I've watched don't really cover whether or not this will work.Any tips on the procedure for doing this with minimal downtime would be really appreciated. I did try calling but it was very difficult to navigate and couldn't find anyone to speak to.  .

Unfortunately, it happens very often that new posts that have a "Creo Parametric related topic" are mistakenly posted in one of the "Creo Elements Direct" boards. This is really annoying.First you do the work to translate the content into your own language and then you notice it. Ok.But for many of these misplaced posts, you also don't realize that they are not meant for "Creo Elements Direct" because the info is too sparse.If you then try to help, answer with some effort and only then realize by the reactions what is happening, it is frustrating and spoils the desire and the will to work actively to offer solutions. Hi folks. Question, is there any way to link and lock the parameter of a mirrored part.Right now it copies the parameters, but it doesn't update if I change the part where the mirrored part was mirrored from .As you can see in the image. All those parameters are from the original part and are being copied . But it let me edit it. I need those parameters to be locked and being updated if i change their original part. Thanks in advance for the help.

We use the Multi-level Components Report a lot for getting consolidated quantities in a single sheet. And then today, I ran into a case where it's telling me I have no quantities of a part on a BOM when I'm in fact looking at the part on that BOM.  Is this a bug or am I missing something obvious?
