Some extensions are imported in my thingworx composer. Any options available to export those extensions to import it in another server ?

I have Creo Parametric 7.0.2 Educational version on Win10 with Visual Studio 2019 (16.10.3). I wanted to try VB API and have set-up everything as per vbug - I have registered the COM and the PRO_COMM_MSG_EXE is set as system-level variable to a working path.    When loading VB examples from the installation folder I found that I had to remove pfcls from references and add a fresh reference as per vbug to "Creo Parametric Type Library for Creo Parametric". This new reference was bound as pfc (Interop.pfc in object browser). I changed few imports in the vb examples to replace pfcls with the new reference pfc.   Everything looked well apart from - IpfcAsyncConnection, CCpfcAsyncConnection or anything with word Async is just not included in the COM above. I tried searching for connection method in case AsyncConnection got deprecated but no luck.   Where have IpfcAsyncConnection and related objects gone? Why is it not in the COM?? Do I need a different com or i

I have creo parts/assemblies that are in my workspace and they are flagged as "Modified Locally" and "Modifications need to be uploaded" I must of modified these by accident, and i dont want to check them out, save them, then check back in. How do i go about reverting these files in my workspace so they are as they were before I "modified" them. I tried updating the files individually, doing check out then undo checkout, synchronize workspace, update workspace.   Thanks in advance

ThingWorx 8.5.0-b12 :   I used logger.info("Information") in a service in the above version of Thingworx. But it is not displaying info logs.   Can you please verify and confirm?

Can ThingWorx 9.1 be setup to use InfluxDB without using the UI?  The documentation only shows the UI, and I can find no references on the web to specifying InfluxDB provider info in platform-settings.json.   My goal is to create an automated install process.   Thanks, Mike

In one organisation if i created 3 organisational units with individual usergroups, the parent organisation also automatically added with few usergroups of its organisational units.   As it is an automatic, i want either (i) the parent organisation should be added with all the usergroups/users of its organisational units (or) with no usergroups/users. Any settings is there to check this abnormal activity?

Hi, We need to build the report with the grid satisfying the requirement of showing the data with collapsible columns and rows.One overview info to see how many parts in each buffer zone, and each buffer zone has detail info. On clicking of a icon (eg: +) in column or row, we should be able to expand the row to see the in depth details that we bind.   Please refer the attached screenshot for better understanding.   Is this possible using Advanced grid? We are trying to configure mail(Mail Account User - 2 step authentication) on MailServer thing.After clicking on submit it sends OTP to mobile.But in thingworx, there is no popup or input field to enter OTP and make successful connection.   But for Basic Auth(Username/Password) it works fine.   Please help me with this!

Hi,    I've created a custom service that creates a dataset using the CreateDataSet service from the Analytics Server Data Thing. I want to add tags so that the dataset will appear in the Analytics Builder. I found this snippet of code that will create a tags info table, but I'm confused as to what the if statement will achieve:   var tags = Resources["InfoTableFunctions"].CreateInfoTableFromDataShape({dataShapeName: "GenericStringList" /* DATASHAPENAME */});if (displayInBuilder && datasetName){    tags.AddRow({ item: "builderdataset" });     tags.AddRow({ item: "builderdatasetname:" + datasetName.toLowerCase() });   When I try to run this code with my datatsetName, it says that "displayInBuilder" does not exist- is this something I need to define, or is this calling another function/service?  Thanks!

Hello,   I am new to Creo parametric. I am getting "Startup of Application failed" dialog popup when I try to run a jlink application through Auxiliary Applications option under Tools menu. This jlink application is calling some cloud Rest APIs. If I remove these Webservice calls, then the jlink app runs fine.   Is there any option to call external REST services from Creo Parametric? Or any option to trigger separate program which in turn can call these web services?   Thanks, Apoorva

Hi,I'm using Creo Parametric 3.0 with basic AFX licension right now. In my project need numerical names for all profiles (e.g.: J900-000-01, J900-000-02, J900-000-03, etc... inside the assembly). I noticed that Creo automatically increments newly created profiles by giving them my-prefix_profile-type-name_auto-increment-number name (e.g.: J900-000_PROFILE_45X90_1). the only thing I need is to remove the _PROFILE_45X90_ suffix which Creo adds automatically. I tried to find it out but even inside Project Parameters I didn't found the option which could be helpfull. Do you know how can I achieve that? Thank you in advance for all replies!

I'm working on some code in a workflow and I want to be able to query baselines that meet certain conditions. Hi community,   Given the following context: There are 600 assets and each of them have more than 100 properties and each property need to have at least one Anomaly Detection alert configured.   1) How should the ThingWorx Analytics server (where the Anomaly Detection functionality will be running) be sized? 2) Is any guideline/rule/formula to size the ThingWorx Analytics server appropriately once the context changes?   PD: Also any rules or guidelines on how to size the ThingWorx Analytics server taking into account not only the Anomaly Detection feature but all ThingWorx Analytics server features will be much appreciated.

Hello,    I am using Creo 4 and trying to use IFX ( intelligent fastener exchange) tool to swap the hardware. On a hole size of 9mm dia, the tool picks the M8 bolt which is correct. And if i go to another hole of 5mm dia the tool still defaults to M8 bolt size which i think it is memorizing the previous execution selection and defaults to same hardware.  Is this a bug ? or any config settings i can look into .    Thank you in advance  Arun 

I'm trying to replace all of the instances of quotation marks <"> in a string with a different string; namely, <\\">. I tried using the replaceAll method, but ThingWorx doesn't recognize it. Any suggestions?

I am using Creo Parametric 3.0 M190file created a traceback.log when saving file. file opens ok, modify family table. Verify family table all instances are successful. When you select save the traceback window appears. select OK. Creo closes.

Based on these two previous questions related to the definition of a cycle and this one, regarding the time dependency on module. How should the following case be approached?    Lets assume I have a process for which the cycles last 10 hours  each, according to the documentation at least five cycles should the used to train the model, on the other hand, according to this post all cycles should be in a time windows of 24 hours, in this case where the five cycles add up to 50 hours, how should the training be approached?

Hi, Would anyone know what windchill setting to change to allow users to create windchill packages (CAD/Technical) and export them?  Our environment currently only allows org admin or higher privileges to create packages.Was hoping that non cad users (purchasing and MFG) that could see the files in windchill would be able to create a package and export it for use outside the Creo Parametric environment.I can fetch a Creo Parametric file to a Creo Parametric workspace but I'm not able to create a package with my user permissions. Any ideas if there's a setting we can change to allow me and others to create packages that contain Creo files without the need of Admins help? Thanks for any help you can provide! Don A

Hello to all the community experts,I would like to carry out the stereographic projection on the sphere of the two parallel straight lines, fr1 and fr2, both lying on the plane z = 0. So I should see the segment P0P1 connecting the pole with a point on the straight line fr1 and the segment P0P2 connecting the pole with the straight line fr2 whose projections on the sphere are two circles passing through the pole. I've been trying for a few hours but without success. Anyone here, is able to do this?Thank you in advance.Attached is the file for one projection.
