Hi, has anyone out there come up with a good scheme for managing memory in the WVS CAD Worker machines? I run 5 virtual CAD workers on a single VM, which spawns 5 Creo sessions for converting CAD models to Creo View format. Everything is great when it starts, but over time (about a week), each session of Creo will grab up all memory it can until the machine has little to no memory left. We have implemented a new monitoring system here and I get reports about my CAD workers being critically low on available RAM and virtual memory all the time. I'd like to find a way to make them run more efficiently. Considering a weekly restart of the GS Worker Daemon service over the weekend to see if that will help, but I don't think once/week will be enough. Also concerned about stopping and starting the service on the CAD Worker w/o first shutting down the CAD worker from the Worker Admin UI in Windchill.

I've started having issues with opening the dimension text window in the drawing tools. Any time I select the dimension text option on the ribbon, it shows it being selected, as shown in the image below, without the window opening. The window still comes up on the other engineer's workstation, so it's only an issue on my machine. Are there any menu options I can check to fix this, or do I just need to try a reinstall?   We are working with Creo Parametric 6.0

Hi, there   Took List of Vuforia Studio events which we could be used as listener by javaScript/angular.js and How to get camera position? as reference.   Console Error "Wasn't able to setupTrackingEventsCommand because view object is not available." while experience loaded.   Click a button  triggers myTestFunction() Nothing happen.   What do I miss here? Hello Everyone,The data for cornea topography is loaded in the worksheet attached. The contour plot is generated using the 2-D interpolation algorithm. However, when compared to the topography system's original performance, the plot has a very low resolution. How can I get a plot that looks like the system output?  I was also curious about how the data could be transferred and plotted in polar coordinates because I was having trouble mapping f(x,y) to f(r, theta) coordinates.   Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Hi, To develop a source control solution in Visual Studio, we tried to follow the steps in the below link. But we were unable to proceed to step 3. We are beginners in this so we would like to know if there is any detailed document on this. In the steps mentioned in the link there seems to be a gap in the flow between step 2 and step 3.   As mentioned in the link, we did the step 2. But we didn't know what should be done in project.json. Hello PTC Community   Hoping you can help me out with something that has been frustrating me.  I created a family table today, organized the columns while the part was open, in the order I want.  But once I was in the drawing, the fam.inst.param.name automatically sorts the column alphabetically.  Is there any way around this?    Thanks, Josh  

Dear PTC and Vuforia users,   I would like to use Vuforia Studio in conjuction with Model Targets, however the results we get this way are funky, that is Vuforia does not occlude the objects behind the real world like I've seen on some ARcore video. In Vuforia Engine for Unity Engine there is a material called "DepthMask", the same thing is called HoldOut shader in Blender. What it does is it hides an object behind an invisible object. What is in front of the object remains shown, what is behind is hidden with the masking object being invisible.    This way I could target e.g. a toy car, target it as a model target, display air flow streamlines around the car while hiding those, who are behind the car.   I've seen a topic about TML shaders in for Vuforia Studio (Xray, dots...), but I do not know how to create my own. It would be nice, if there was a topic or a tool to convert Unity Material/Shader into a TML/GLSL text compatible with Vuforia Studio.    Any

Hi all, I have 8.4.3 Thingworx Composer running. I want to have Analytics server installed for Anomaly Detection. I have downloaded  Thingworx Analytics Server from here "https://developer.thingworx.com/en/resources/trial/analytics-trial-edition". Is it okay to use 9.1 version of Analytics server with 8.4.3 composer?       Thanks

Hi,  I have created a service that will: Convert a value stream into an infotable (via QueryPropertyHistory) Use CreateInfoTableFromDataShape (referencing AnalyticsDatasetRef and AnalyticsDatasetMetadata) to create another reference infotable that will append data from the original value stream infotable Use the CreateJob() service from the Analytics_Server_Training_Thing to output a model ID using the reference infotable I am able to output a model ID but when I run it through the GetJobInfo() service under the Training Thing it shows that my model fails. Has anyone attempted to create a service that calls the Analytics_Server_Training_Thing, and if so, is there a key step I'm missing or any tips? Do I need to implement the CreateDatasetWithDatasetRef service from the Analytics Data Thing in order to get a dataURI?  Thanks!

Hello,   I'm starting to use Mqtt extension. All works fine. My thing is connected to the broker and i can receive and publish messages. The problem i have is, when i receive a message from the broker, the user that runs the thread is "System". Is there a way to change this user to my own "system" user ?   Thanks for your help,   Cyril.

I have thingworx 8.5.9 the (old) legacy widget Value Display allows to specify the Render and also Style for the formatting options   The new Value Display has instead only the Render option, so I cannot change the style using state-based formatting using a state definition.   State was very useful because I can change color, or show a picture based on the incoming value ... but I cannot do this with the new Value Display.   I have now to use an expression widget to show a particular picture based on the value ... so the state-definitions are much les useful now ..   Is there a different way ?

I just started to use Mathcad... I was try to find the sqrt of a value in N/mm^2 and my end result was given in units (Kg^1/2) /(m^1/2)s... I do not understand why it is happening... Can anyone help me out...

Hi, I have created a 3rd model and I have created relations to drive its dimensions through excel. I have called the excel into creo through Excel analysis tab available in analysis tab and created different Analysis feature so that it can take value from the excel & after that I have used that analysis feature in the relation so that it can drive its dimensions.   But once I changed the location of the Excel than the relations are not working.  so, how to resolve this issue did I need to make new relations or how can we make the excel file location independent so that it does not affect the relations created inside the creo enviroment.   Any suggestions are welcomed...   Regards, Shubham Mehta

In the attached plot i have power dissipation on y -axis and  time  on x-axis. My objective to integrate the waveform(on y axis- Area under curve) and then divide by time(x-axis: Time taken for covered area ) to get the average power dissipation. I am trying get an integral plot similar to the one  we get in the math waveform (integral function) in oscilloscope. I want to move some development to production and found this service, I made some tests and it creates a zip file with 4 folders  However, the development consists on several projects (I am using some thingworx packages for file management, alarms, console framework, etc.)   What would be the best practice to export all development?   Do I just need to create a single project (Development Project) and include all the projects I want to export, then use the ExportSourceControlledEntitiesToZipFile  on this project?  

Every PTC button has a border around it when selected. I can't seem to get rid of it. Basically, if you click the button, a border appears. If you click anywhere else, even into another app, the border goes away. I had to do a screen capture just to show what I am talking about. Here I have removed the border from every aspect of this button. Is there a way to remove this? It doesn't actually appear to have anything to do with the border property in css. The button on the left is the one for this example but every button in thingworx does this. When it is selected(I had to do a printScreen because if I clicked on my snipping tool it would go away) When it is not selected, or it is but I click on anything else.   I have tried custom CSS but this does not appear to be a CSS related issue? Hopefully I am wrong about that.

Let’s suppose that I have a pump that completes various cycles (more than 5 full cycles) across a day. Under normal conditions, every time the pump completes a cycle it goes through the following states: starting; running; stopping. Depending on the amount of fluid that needs to be pumped the cycle lasts a different amount of time. Also, after each cycle the pump remains stopped for different amounts of time.  Below an example of how it could work in a day.     The cycles depicted in the image above are “operation cycles” that don’t have the same length and are aperiodic, are these the correct unit of analysis for the anomaly detection or should be defined in a different way?
