Hi,   I had queries about the thingstart event.    The query is when does this event get triggered?   I have a main template from which I am having 2-3 templates and I am having 2 things with each on these 2-3 templates. I am having a subscription which is using the thing start input in the super template or the main template from which the other templates are derived. I wanted to know that if I create a thing under an one of the template will this subscription go into action for all the things under the main template as in directly all the things are under this template and the subscription is written on it.   The structure is : 'A' is the main template (subscription with thing start input is here) 'B' template under A 'C' template under A 'ThingB1' thing under template B 'ThingC1' thing under template C   Now if i make 'ThingB2' thing under template B will this subscription go into action for all the three things ('ThingB2', 'ThingB1', 'ThingC1') or

Hi Folks,   I'm trying to delete a Thing which is not a system object actually but whenever I try to delete it using "DeleteThing" service, getting error "cannot delete a system object"   Its XML configuration has tags as follows: <aspect.isSystemObject="false" aspect.isExtension="true">   Any suggestions?

I'm trying to download CREO 6.0 for students here https://www.ptc.com/en/academic-program/academic-products/free-software/creo-college-download I fill out the form and once I enter submit it loads into a 404 page does not exist. Hi , I am Trying to create new Thing in Thingworx 8.5.0 , Already i have created 150 Things. now its giving below error.. "the allowable limit for license feature thing has been reached . your license does not allow you to create any additional things". Hello, i have a Programm for exporting drawings to different formats (DWG, DXF and PDF). Hello,I encountered a problem with the Bode Diagrams...How can correct the Phase Plot of the Bode Diagrams for a system which has, for example and simplicity,  two poles in origins? The Phase Plot shows that the system has a +180 degree which is not correct. The system should have a -180 degree.Thank you.

How to plot complex impedances where it is a product of 2 complex functions        Impedances of a capacitor  Zc = 1/s*c(s) and the unit is Farad      where s is the Laplace Domain variable = 1j*w = 1j*2*pi*frequency      in my case, c(s) is the capacitance but is a function of s   I want to plot the magnitude of Zc = {[Re(Zc)]^2+[I'm(Zc)]^2}^0.5 versus frequency   If  Zc is evaluated with "=", the result returns a scalar   I asked PTC helps and they said it is because I have 2 vectors multiplied together, so it returns a scalar. They recommend to vectorize the Zc expression but if you do that, it return a complex impedances of 1000 frequencies (the # of points I have), and then find a way to convert the 1000 complex impedances into the magnitude of each of the 1000 complex impedances.   My question is: Why do I have to vectorize the Zc expression? Is there another way to do it that does not need to vectori

I am trying to fit data to a "First Order Plus Dead Time" model. I can optimize the fit by using the solution to the FOPDT equation, but, simply as an intellectual exercise, I would like to also be able to do this using the FOPDT differential equation. I have Python code that can do this (it takes an incredibly long time to run; I would guess that Mathcad would take much more time).   The nub problem of the problem as I see it, is that I think I need an optimization solve block to do the least squares fit which, in turn, then needs to call an odesolve solve block with parameters.   I quickly realized that I don't have a clue as to how to do this, and I haven't found any "parameterized solve block" examples that return odesolve solutions.   Attached are my Prime 6 worksheet, text file of data, and PDF of worksheet.   Many thanks, Roger Gunwaldsen  

Hi,   My requirement: Create a datum plane in assembly referring to a surface. Then use this datum to create a section in assembly.I created datum plane by populating element tree. wfcWFeature_ptr datumFeat= currSolid->WCreateFeature(elemTree, featOpts);   I get datum created correctly. Now I want to use this datum for creating section. so I query its ID by  planeID = datumFeat->GetId();  //ID i got is 43   When I create a section by  parentSOlid->CreatePlanarXSection(sectionName, planeId, cutObjtype, memberIdTable, quiltID, xtrue, compExcl); system gives me error.   So I reselected the created datum and checked for its ID, it is 44. Now if I give this ID to above section function, it works well.   Am I missing something to differentiate between planeID and datum feature ID.

Hi everyone, 1. I want to add a checkbox into the grid to select multiple rows from the grid to pass this data to the service which has one info table input parameter. How can I do that?   2. Hi,  If login using Administrator, I can see lots functions under "Script Functions",  but if I login using another user who has full permission on all of entities,  I cannot see any script functions in the code snippets although the function still work if call it .    ===============Login with Administrator============   ===============Login with another user============ Regards, Sean
