Dear community,   I would like to perform the activity I have written in the subject, and by looking at the documentation it looks doable. However, I have some issues: I have created a DataShape and a DataTable in the composer, and exported them via the "Export" option. I have then imported them in Eclipse (Right click on Extension Project -> Import -> ThingWorx -> Entities and the .xml files are imported correctly in the project. After this, I am not sure on how to proceed, since the import option does not cause the creation of the corresponding Java classes, or the entries in the metadata.xml file. By following tutorials/documentation, custom services should be created in the .java class of the related entity. Should I perform those manually, and then map them to the entities I created?  I hope my question is clear, but feel free to ask for more details. Federico

Hello,   I have installed Thingworx 9.0 instance and running an application. I have installed it manually without using installer. Based on requirements, I have to install Thingworx Navigate 9.0. when I'm trying to install navigate it's again asking me to install Thingworx foundation using installer. Is there a way to install Navigate without removing existing instance. The server is having only one drive so i can't use two instances also.   Any suggestions on this?   -thanks, Abhiram

Hi Experts,   Would be possible to populate a parameter value from a Rest Server coding a javascript on home.js? I have a IoT Gateway on Kepware which reads values from controllers and publish those on a Rest Server, then I need to use those values on Vuforia Studio WHITHOUT ThingWorx. This requirement is because I do not want to have (pay for) ThingWorx to act just as a gateway since I just need real-time values on Vuforia Studio. I know ThingWorx is there with Vuforia, but in order to use it to collect this data on Things I would need to license it, right?   All ideas is welcome.   Many Thanks, Felipe Duarte

When attempting to update the Thing humidity and temperature properties in Thingworx the python program is failing to make a new connection. The following error occurs.   HTTPSConnectionPool(host='thing-server-qa.rd1.thingworx.io', port=8443): Max retries exceeded with url: /Thingworx/Things/RaspberryPi1(5305843aa530edef)/Properties/*?verify=False (Caused by NewConnectionError('<urllib3.connection.VerifiedHTTPSConnection object at 0x75f5e830>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 110] Connection timed out',))   I have used Postman to test the HTTP put command for the REST API and obtain a status of 200 OK so I know the information being sent to Thingworx server is correct. However, even then the property values are not being updated. Hi team, I am using value display in thingworx 9.0 which is used to show uploaded image on the mashup.  When I choose the image by using a file upload widget, the image is shown on the value display but when I hover a mouse cursor on the image it will display error like a tooltip, I don't know how to remove this error. Please check the below picture the error shown in green color.   Please suggest me how to remove this error.

Hello everyone,   I am trying to import an extension, and I keep getting the error I wrote down in the Subject:   "Entity Import Not Supported for File Type: .zip"     this happens with any extension, also the one build in this tutorial. The only thing I have done differently is the Gradle build, which I carried out via Command Prompt, but the error shows up also if I use the pre-built .zip file in the tutorial files.   I am using a 30-day cloud trial now, so I wonder if this could be a limitation of the trial.   Thanks and best regards!    

Hello,   I'm currently having trouble with my custom authenticator: each time a user logs through it, a new session is created. My user reach my thingworx server (8.4.0-b2013) with REST call. All the process of the authentication works fine but a new session is created with each request.  After some investigation, I think only having the cookie served by thingworx across tomcat allows to find the active session. However I don't use the cookie as it would bypass my custom process of authentication.   It seems x-thingworx-session equals to true or false doesn't change anything  Maybe there is a way to find the active session without cookie   I know I could limit the maximum number of session per user in configuration, but my goal is to use data stored in the session, so even if I limit the number, a new session would be created and I will lose data already stored   Any ideas?

Hello everyone Could someone give me instruction how to add frame  for inspection dimension in Creo Direct Modeling/Annotation 20.0. The only possibility I found is to add balloon frame to dimension, but result is not nice and is not work for a single number see picture 1, but wish to have it like a std one see picture 2. 

I'm noticing today that the feedback widget and the left side menu are missing on all PTC KB articles.  It's not browser specific,not computer specific, and not article specific.  Seems to be something going on with PTC.   Yesterday: (still had a browser session open)   Today:  (stuff highlighted above in red boxes is missing)

Dear experts,   I am getting the error message you find in the subject while calling APIs under /Thingworx/Resources/EntityServices, while I have no issue for /Thingworx/Things. Checking previous posts I have seen that this looks like a common error when visibility rights are missing, but I am not sure of what the minimum requirements are (i.e., if it's enough to assign rights at the APIKey level, or if you need to create an Organization and/or UserGroup).   Thanks and best regards!

Hi,   i have a Master Mashup and want to pass parameters to the Mashup which is using my Master. So i set the State in my Master to, for example "Running", then my Mashup should update content accordingly. I just need the value i set on my Master Mashup somehow in the other Mashups that are using it.   Is this possibly via Mashup Properties? Or how can i do this?Url Params came to my mind, but arent the best solution, because it is just a filter.   Cheers Pat

Hi Community,   We were working on Custom UI development and trying to create custom extension for Thingworx Mashup as widgets. I have checked many old Article on community for Extension development using Angular-Thingworx. Hi everybody,    I sometimes uploading an pvz doesn't work. CAD-Optimizer goes through till low level, then runs endless. In the error log you can see the error "debug: [twx-studio:cad-import-filters] Program exit code 0". There is a workaround: Go to  C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Temp\ Here yo find a folder named Studio-optimize... with some digits behind Go into that folder, copy the file with the wanted resultion and paste it into your project path,  C:\Users\***\Documents\VuforiaStudio\Projects\***\src\phone\resources\Uploaded Please replace the *** with your username and project name.   That's it. Hopefully ptc will fix this issue.   

It looks like Creo View has been removed as a filter option in the PTC knowledgebase. Is there a different place I should search for Creo View information?

Hello,   I'd like to ask you, what is the best approach to achieve "High availability" for KepServerEx using ThingWorx.   My current solution: I created two things based on industrial Gateway template, each of them is connected to one KepServerEx. Both KepServerEx have exactly same channels and same connections to physical PLCs.   In each of these Industrial Gateway things I created subscription for DataChange event for isConnected property and when it is false I programatically change IndstrurialThing property on connected Remote things.   Do you think it is a good approach? Or is there better solution to achieve "HA" for KepServerEx?

Can we make in some way that any particular user can login on application but cannot login on ThingWorx Composer? If yes , then how?   Thanks in advance.
