Hi Modelers,   Using Creo 4.   I am designing a complex air duct. The duct has two different inlet/out profiles, sweeps downward and moves right to left. There is an mid wall inside the duct which at the inlet end sits about a third to the left hand side and then finishes in the middle at the outlet.   My design approach has been to complete a wire frame of reference sketches, datum points and splines to achieve the shape. I then use boundary blends to make up the different duct wall sections. I then merge the walls, thicken and remove the excess. Wire frame Boundary blends Thickened - Outlet End Rear Iso View - Inlet End   The challenge I face is to maintain a constant (or close to) smooth inner duct chamber profile on both sides. As air flows through each duct chamber the goal is for a stable airflow speed (little increase) and minimal pressure drop at the outlet. Hi community, I want to set a specific validation for input text boxes in about 4-5 mashups of mine.Is there anyway I can reuse the validator I use a particular mashup with the rest of the mashups.If not can I bind services to the validator function so i can reuse it in all mashups instead of creating validators for every mashup.

Hi, We wanted to restrict the users from logging in from multiple browsers using same username. For eg: if a user named 'abc' logs in to thingworx through form login from his local browser(with remote ip) and logins to remote desktop and logins with same username 'abc' through form login. There will be 2 sessions for same user which might mess the services and their output flow binded in mashups.   So, Is there a way on Submit button in Form Login page, can we check whether the user is already active in any browser and if so, we should restrict login and give a message 'To continue, please logout from other browser'.   Or, on click of Submit button in form login page, is it possible to  insert a entry in SQL DB through service in a temp table which I will create for storing the session info.   Thanks, Shalini V.

Consider I have developed Thingworx UI. It has data shown in Label chart and a button beside it to generate reports for that label chart.When I click the button,report pdf having label chart(Graphical representation) with one weeks data  has to be downloaded.Is it possible to do this using thingworx?

Philosophical question for folks.   Why would you use data tagging (like in a stream) versus just adding a field to the datashape (effectively adding a new "column").   Is there additional functionality behind data tagging? It doesn't seem faster to query using tags (vs just using "time").  Are there pros/cons to using one or the other?   I just don't really understand the point behind the data tags.

Hi everyone,   I am beginner with Thingworx.   I am using:   Thingworx free trial local 90 days.   I have created a mashup and I would like to share the runtime with another coworkers. They are in another network.   I was using once the Thingworx Free Cloud 30 days and when I cliked on button "view mashup" it gerated a link that I was able to share with another people to access it.   How do I do it to local version?   Regards.

It makes event router useless for cases when data shape of function output is needed - for example, if I want to use output infotable for dropdown, list or data grid.   I'm using TW 8.5   Thanks a lot

When we build a frame using AFX, we get many items in the BOM, totaled by Quantity. I saw a demo video of Framework where they had a secondary BOM that totaled the items by part number, individual length, quantity and then a total length. We need the total length for purchasing to enable them to order the stock items. How is this total put into a BOM? If someone has a sample BOM table you can upload, that would be very helpful. We are currently on Creo4 m080 with Windchill 11.0  m030.  

Hi, I'm currently using MQTT to send sensor data to the thingworx platform. The data is in json format and looks like this:  {"tire_pressure":4.7,"speed":55,"timestamp":"2020-05-07 11:25:19.971","status":"success","vehicle":"car"}   In the MQTT master template I created a property called Speedometer which receives this json data. Now, I'm trying to extract the data by using another property (called Speed, base type: int) which subscribes to the Speedometer. The subscription looks like this:  me.Speed = me.Speedometer.speed;   But the property Speed doesn't change it's value. Do you know how to solve this?

I can not express the circle(image named page.) in the existing paging widget(image named page2).   I want to express a button that move to a first page or last page when I pressed.   And I want to show three pages per page. For example ->  previous<  1  2  3 >next  / previous<  4  5  6>next    I will be glad for your help.  

when we load our drawing (pdf) into our PLM software, sometimes our customers request a step file.  i noticed that now, you can create the step file, and automatically attach it to the documentation in Windchill. however, if i do a search for a part, i have no way to actually download the file to my local drive, without opening it into creo, then saving it.  is there something i am doing wrong?  can i somehow browse to this part?

Hallo, I have an issue creating a server for the 30-day Evaluation. By pressing the button "create server" an error "Error creating trial" occurs and no server is created. Any ideas how to solve this problem?Thank you very much!  

it seems to be possible for a normal user "USR1" (non admin and not on special groups) to see other user objects through a service. I have no rules on the "users collection" permissions that would allow USR1 to "see" other users In fact, If USR1 logs into the composer, he can see just itself on the users list   But if with a service he calls Users["USR2"].fullName, this entity is visible and returns the fullName prop ! This shouldn't be possible. What I'm missing ?   I use TWX 8.5    

Hello to all,  how can I project a datum point onto a non planar surface? I tried to use datum point command but only allows project onto plane or planar surface. If it is not possible, it there any workaround to accomplish it? BTW, I´m using Creo 4.0. Thanks.

Hello, i create two sequences and i want to play the sequences by two different buttons. I found a post there is similar to this topic, but it doesn´t work. Does anyone has a demo project, where that is shown or can explain how it works?   Thanks in advance.

I have a large model with several sequences. The user can load different sequences with buttons that call:     var myPVZ = "Illustration"; //Sequence name var consistent = "app/resources/Uploaded/" + myPVZ + "/l-Model - "; $scope.view.wdg['3D_model'].sequence = consistent + "Default" + ".pvi"; //Load sequence     The sequence then takes a couple of seconds to load and you can see different parts of the model appearing as it does. I wondered if it's possible to hide this loading with a spinner and then reveal the model at once when it has fully loaded.   For example: Set 3D_model visibility = false Start spinner Start load sequence 2 second delay Stop spinner Set 3D_model visibility = true Is this a good approach? Alternatively is there a parameter that reports when a model has loaded, rather than using a delay?
