I need to add an annotation feature note to ~300 parts. I wrote a maco that will add the feature and it seems to work well. I tried setting up distributed batch to call this macro that adds the feature and then saves the file to the working directory. The process will run processing ~10 parts at a time and states it completed my 105 test objects successfully. However, when I go to the output file location there are only about 40 new parts in there. If I run the distributed batch process with only one of the objects it "missed" in the object list it will work fine on that file. How can I troubleshoot this or is there a better way to do this?

From my (very limited) experience, in the (if, while) loop, Mathcad doesn't allow := but only <-. I was just wondering how are they differ from one another.   Thank you!

Philosophical question for folks.    When recording historical data for a manufacturing batch (for retainment in a "batch report" (uptime, average temp, etc)) what thingworx data storage method would be best?   After looking into everything I would think that--for example--temperature data could be recorded in a stream (as it is time series) and tagged with the batch unique identifying number.   however, where would other data be captured which isn't time series. For example--Uptime, or units produced, or yield.   Would it be best practice for each manufacturing batch to be created as it's own "thing" with specific persistant properties holding that data. Or would it be more logical to have a "batches" table which has an uptime/units produced/yield column? Would it be better to have each batch identification number a "tag" and then have an uptime data table where each row is tagged with that batch identification number?    I guess what I'm getting at

when I select first value using drop down widget, 2nd value should be limited. how to do this service? for example. if I select production Volume---Milk----UHT Small Pack, in SKU drop down list, it cannot show Whipping Cream 1000 ml.

Hello everyone! I try to use 'GetProjectName()', that you can find for example in 'EntitySevices'. But how it works? This function don't have any params, so how should I use it? When I choose this function in services list, I get this:   var result = Resources["EntityServices"].GetProjectName();    And of course, result is always empty.    Thank you in advance. 

Have created Two Scheduler Things to run on every hour(set using cron pattern). However subscriptions of each schedulers fire at different time(currently with a difference of 1 minute).   1. Is there any way to execute Schedulers to run at same time instead of two different times?   2. Also is there a way to set Scheduler to run at start of every hour (e.g 01:00), when set to execute 1 hour in cron pattern?(Currently Scheduler trigger every hour but not at start of hour.) E.g. Expecting to execute Scheduler to execute at 01:00, 02:00, 03:00..etc instead of 01:32,02:32,03:32..etc   Thanks!

Hi,    When creating a thing under Industrial connectivity manually:  If there's a few properties(less than 10), it work well. the properties get tagged data from Kepware  without problem.  But ,  If increase the count of properties, for example 60 properties in my case, the properties are not connected and display "?" ahead of the property(see the attached picture).   And  it won't be solved by restarting Kepware only ,  I  have to restart Kepare and re-click Save button in Thingworx , then the connection will work .   Is  this a  designed behavior ?     The problem only occurs on manually creating thing under industrial connectivity,  if create the thing from the binding remote Kepware thing,  then it won't occur.     ThingWorx:  8.5.2 Kepware: KEPServerEX6 (unlicensed , need to restart every 2 hours)   Regards, Sean    

While I'm doing some work in order to display remote data in time series chart,  I created valueStream  I defined a Thing with this valueStream to memorize all remote data value , of course, all properties are logged on .but finally when I try to execute  QueryPropertyHistory service ,it return "Unable to Invoke Service QueryPropertyHistory on Testprop : java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to retrieve entry"Any explication about this issue ?  

How do you show Pipe Bend numbers that reflect the same location as what is outputted by the repeat region?  I have followed the procedure in the help files and set default_pipe_bend_note to &bend_num:att_pipe_bend, but when I create my views the numbers do not show up with the bend notes.  We are using Creo 4.0 and the application Creo Piping.  

Hello Experts,   Multi Selection Combo Box in list widget is not working....I think I am missing in Bindings or configuration. I tested the SQL service with 2 inputs as shown in attached files, but on UI multi selection is not giving me result. This works good for single selection on combo box, but not works when multiple selection is done. attached results in both cases.      if its binding problem, then how should I pass this selected multiple inputs to the next query ?

Hi All- I am attempting to model the first-order change of A --> B. The little programming loop below does the transformation of A to B in time steps of n just fine. The problem is I cannot view the A vs time data as is shown in the MathCAD document below. I know there are many other ways to solve this simple system, but getting this little programming loop to solve the problem is my goal.

Hello everyone,   I've been trying to create 'Thing' in a batch mode, and I've decided to use the Resources["EntityServices"] CreateThing().    The service seems to work as intended. However, I can verify that the 'Thing' properties of my newly created Thing do not have the 'Default Values' I have configured. Has anyone had an issue with this in the past?    Note: I'm using v8.4.1

Hi all,   We have the full license for IFX. I have access to some catalogs (mm for example) but I can't assemble fasteners from the ANSI-ENGLISH catalog, which is what we use in production.   I get the below error:   I know that the ANSI fastener files are not stored in the common files/ifx/parts/IFX_fastener_data folder, but instead in the common files/ifx/parts/prolibrary folder.   What setting do I change so that I can use ANSI-English catalog fasteners? 

I would like to calculate multiple values under one if statement. Right now, the only thing I know about if statement is that I have to assign if statement to a variable and that means I can only do one variable at a time. Please see below. For this example, if I would also like to compute some other variables other than SF under condition that d<=1/4 in, without creating another if statement, what can I do?   Thank you very much!   Edit: clarify question

Hello All, I am generating values for DEFORM FEA software to determine a sinusoidal motion. My current method is to develop the function for my motion in Mathcad, then take the variable value and transplant it into Excel.  From Excel I can copy and paste into my DEFORM table. I would like grab the values directly from Mathcad. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks, Don

I am creating some new family tables of standard hardware items and 1 column is the weight of the item.Currently, I am saving the generic file, then opening each instance and running our Mass Weight update mapkey to get the proper weight reflected in the instance parameters.Is there a way to automate this so it is even faster than the 8 keystrokes it now takes. I'm investigating the use of MBD for my company, and I'm wondering how we would easily add all of the new layers, annotations, annotation tabs, etc., to our existing jobs.  We have existing start models with assemblies half built, and we may use an existing job as a starting point for a new design.  So I do I basically merge a new MBD start part, to an existing part? I am trying to figure out why my company's 3D models are so CPU/memory "heavy" and I could use some advice. At my previous job I worked on heavy equipment which was quite a bit more complicated than what I work on now, but the models took less time to load and ran much smoother on a lower spec computer. For example, I could use a Space Mouse controller without any issues with most of the top level master model in session. At my current job the subsystem models are extremely slow and choppy. In most cases it runs so choppy/slow that I can't use my Space Mouse but everyone seems to think this is normal. Things improved slightly when we upgraded from WF4 to Creo 2, but I think things could be improved much much further.The CAD admins at my previous job were much stricter about keeping models clean and lightweight. For example, they tweaked some settings to disable previews, disabled transparency, enforced proper layering, kept detail at a reasonable level, and required all models to be pr

Hi there!    I'm facing an error when trying to publish a sample project.  I've successfully downloaded and installed the Vuforia Studio software, logged into my account(Username: hayk.nazaryan@ni.com) and created a sample project. I configured the Default Experience Service URL and have admin privileges, but when I hit Publish, after preparing and uploading the content, publishing fails with an error message "Permission denied uploading". When I check the logs, there is a message "Insufficient permissions to access resource","errorCode":403,"error".    I reinstalled the software several times, deleted the "builder-settings" file at C:\Users\Documents\VuforiaStudio and the issue still remains. Also what I've noticed in this file is "https://16e3e79bf17b30d7.studio-trial.vuforia.io" changed to "https://ni-dev.es.thingworx.com" with a true flag for "acceptedLicense".    Please provide some guidance to resolve the problem. 

I am using Mail Server Extension (Version 3.6.0) that I downloaded from PTC Marketplace. I have Imported this Extension and created a Thing. 1. Now, when I try Executing the inbuilt "SendMessage" Service of MailServer Thing Template Emails are being sent without any problem and I can see the same emails in my Gmail Sent box. But, when the same is configured using the Notifications it doesn't work, it just doesn't send any email. However when I wrote a subscription to debug it I get "NotificationSent" Notification Event. This is weird. I am using Gmail SMTP Service. 2. The other issue I am facing is that whenever I send an email to my Outlook Work Mail ID the email just doesn't get delivered. However, Thingworx says that the message was delivered and I could also see the same email from my Gmail Sent Box. To check if my Gmail Email ID was blacklisted on the work account, I just sent a normal email (from Gmail Web application) from my Gmail account to the Outlook and it works p

What I'm trying to do is, I have a data for aluminum properties(shown below) where I want to be able to input/select alloy type, temper, and product for that alloy. Then I would like to be able to get the properties of that selected metal. This topic (their Mathcad looks very different from mine, idk why) have asked the same thing that I want(although, I have 3 inputs, while this topic has only one input) but the problem is that couldn't follow the steps in there and am completely lost.   I'm very new to Mathcad and my Mathcad doesn't have any add-on(if that's needed), please let know what I need to do if I have to.   Thank you very much!
