Hi all,    I am currently developing a project that requires a timer in the UI. Which means, once the experience is launch, the timer will automatically start. This is to track the amount of time needed for the technician to finish the task. But how do i code this function to the value?

My Windchill Admin has moved on to greener pastures.    I am trying to open a Creo drawing from Windchill.  When I select the Actions -> Open In -> Open in Creo  Windchill tries to open the file using Creo Render Studio.  It appears this is unlicensed.  If I open Creo Parametric that seems to be licensed.  I'd therefore like to figure out how to get Windchill to open the drawing in Parametric instead of Render Studio.  How can I do this? (So sorry for the Noob question)

I'm trying to delete cache for my workspaces. But I'm getting this message window 'cache associated with frames cannot be deleted until frames are deleted' and aborting the cache clearing.  What is this Frames? How to override this frames to clear the cache?

Was informed of a Full or Partial MBD setting at the TC. Did not receive exact instructions on the location of the setting or its full intended use. It was explained to be a method to allow layers or combined states to control annotation display.   Anyone know the location of the setting or have further input on the appropriate use cases.   Thanks in advance.

Hello guys, I have a weird problem with an assembly. I came across it when I tried to move one part above another (called "Flexelement") in the assembly tree and couldn't do so because Creo claims the part in question references "Flexelement" (see attached picture from reference viewer). The thing is, I have no idea why. 🤔 There is none in the constraints and I also didn't use external references when creating said part (which is called "loadcell" btw.) Hence my question: Is there a way to systematically find the reference using the reference viewer (or sth. else)? Or is it "trial and error"? If you need further information, I'll try to provide it.   Greetz and thanx

I am trying to map the pwdLastSet AD attribute to a User Extenstion via Directory Services.  I added a property to the User Extension Thing Shape with Base Type = LONG: Next, I mapped the AD attribute to the user extension with a default value of 237 (I set a default is to show that the value is not being set properly):  However, the value is not set properly.  Here is a screen shot of my user extenstions to show that the value is zero:   It is not the value from my AD attribute: It was also not set to the default value 237.   Are there limitations to which AD attributes can be mapped to user extensions?   Thanks, Steve  

  when report is run on a particular document in integrity the images are not been exported as into the html report. In the browser alternate text of the image is being shown, can any one help me out on this ? But,if we login through the browser into web client the images are displayed but I require them to be exported where I should not have any login procedure to be done. how to extract the images to html report?

Hello,   We are looking into migrating our next location into Windchill and have a versioning issue. Our HQ uses Numeric prior to Release and Alpha post Release, hence WC is configured this way with state-based revisioning. The next location uses Numeric for Released revisions.   We are being told, by PTC there is concern about corrupting the database. 1. We cannot modify the existing XML state-based sequence. 2. We cannot create a new sequence for an existing object (load new named XML file).   Has anyone any experience with modifying the state-based sequence in anyway? We are considering Importing the data in at the Numeric revision, but Released state. This violates the State Based sequence.  Has anyone tried that? Or we are considering adding a "-" to preceed "A" for Released.   Has anyone had success with ADDING a value to Sate Based revisions?   Thanks for your response.  

A handy feature in SolidQuirks is that when making a cut or extrude, you can offset the starting point.   So, instead of having to define a plane to start a feature that you want to begin where there isn't already a plane or flat surface, in SolidQuirks, if there is a parallel surface or plane, you sketch on that and then do you extrude or cut starting at a specified offset distance.   Saves you from having to create the extra plane.    If you see the holes above, they are not something that you can easily start from the rounded side of the bracket.  So creating the holes from the flat part underneath is very desirable.  I first placed the four inner holes and then created a separate feature for the counterbores.  To do this I needed to create a plane for the counterbore sketches.  In SolidWorks, I would have just sketched on the flat face and then started my cut at the offset distance without needing the extra plane.   Here's a not-very-go

Hi PTC community, i new in Vuforia Studio and hope you can help me with these things.   I am creating an app somelike a motorcheking for a specific truck, and i have programed with javacode a checklist for a 2D report. How can i create a button that let me create and export a document based in those 2D widgets values?(checklist, text, etc) these documents may be in excel or PDF formats.   the other thing is about 3D animation, can i import in VS a model with animation attached? i must create 3D animations only  in CREO?   Thanks for your help.

Hi, the custom widget given in the tutorial is not working after I imported it. It has errors during the runtime. "ERROR - TW.Runtime.Workspace.Mashups.getWidget exception loading widget { name: Error, message: simplewidgetdoesn't exist }" I have search the community about this problem and it says to clear cache or change browser. Done all of that but still having this error. Shouldn't it work if I just build the files from https://developer.thingworx.com/en/resources/guides/create-mashup-widget-extension/completed-example-create-mashup-widget-extension and import them?
