Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Taking hours of time to get ESI response file GenerationDescription: After we upgraded Windchill 11.1 to 12.1 and also to database update to 19c,we are seeing significant increase in ESI response file generation. In Windchill 11.1,BOM with 500 parts with Options and assigned expressions used to take less than one minute and now it is taking more than 8 minutes. In most of business cases, we release more than 5 BOMs in sign ECN and that is taking 40 minutes to generate ESI Response file. Checked with PTC,they are saying that is expected behavior but it is not the case in Windchill 11.1. Posting the message here to check If anyone experienced similar issue. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A 3D model of a wire mesh net (1539.5 x 177.5 mm, wire diameter 0.5 mm). The pattern is created using 60 extrudes × 512 extrudes (total 30,720)a. First pattern (512 instances, 177.5 mm each) I used "Identical"b. Second pattern (60 instances, 1539.5 mm each) I used "General".Whenever I change pattern options—switching between "Variable", "General", and "Identical"—the regeneration time is about 3 minutes. Is there any way to reduce the regeneration time from minutes to just a few seconds?Note: I can't select both patterns as "Identical", because this prevents me from creating cuts/holes in the mesh model later due to self-intersecting surfaces. hence, I had to choose "General". But now regen time is too long.

I am trying to install Oracle 19c for Windchill 12.0.2. I had it installed once on this server, but wiped it out to fix an error with the upgrade process. Now Oracle will not install properly. When I do the install, the setup program makes changes to the files in the folder that I am installing from even though I tell the program to install Oracle to e:\Oracle19c. The install files are in my c:\users home folder. I do not get a DB_Home created, so the PTC configuration for Oracle will not run. I have deleted all references to Oracle in the registry before each install try.

Good day, everyone, I am in the process of setting up and testing the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX) for the company I work for, and I have successfully integrated some of our legacy data into IFX. However, I am struggling to import nested family table parts correctly. A bit of background:I was successful in getting our fasteners to appear in the screw dropdown (Metric Bolt FT DIN933 SS). However, the length selection was not available, and I was unable to place the fastener set.   After some investigation, I realized that the family table instance did not include the length of each bolt. Instead, the file was nested by bolt size, with the length only available in the lower levels of the family tables. This led me to conclude that this might be why the length did not populate.  I would like to know if the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX) is compatible with nested family tables. Afternoon All,    I am currently working with a large assembly, and required to make sub-assemblies for creating technical drawings. At the moment, the only way I'm able to copy parts into the new sub-assembly is dragging each individual part from the model tree into the new sub-assembly.    I have tried messing around to figure out a way to simultaneously copy all of the desired parts into the sub-assembly, but nothing has worked out.    I'm sure there's a simple solution that I'm missing, can anybody help? Thanks. 

Would you please give me any update about this issue. I am having a same issue at the moment and my thingworx version is also 9.3.   Important info: When i connect mouse with ipad with cable and click browse button it works. When i touch i click on browse with my finger. It does not work. If you need any further information for debugging purposes just let me know about it. Thank you!

Hi,I use Thingworx version 9.6.2. It seems that the Resources["SecurityServices"].DeleteRunTimePermission first parameter type needs to be "Thing" for example if one is to remove permissions from that thing.This is the code for a service to remove all permissions that i have to far, however the error message i get is following:  Error executing service RemoveAllPermissions. I am working on developing a custom widget for ThingWorx using **Angular 17**. I have created an Angular Element and successfully generated the build output (main.js, runtime.js, polyfills.js, etc.).Now I want to package this as a proper ThingWorx widget (extension) using the Web Component SDK.However, I don’t have the **ThingWorx Web Component SDK** that includes the necessary CLI utility and scripts like:- `devops/wcp_components.js`- `cli.js` for packaging the widgetBecause of this, I'm unable to generate the required `metadata.xml`, widget JSON, and other files needed for import into ThingWorx Composer.### My Request:- Can someone please share the **official way to download the ThingWorx Web Component SDK** for Angular?- Or provide a working copy (ZIP or repo)?- Any documentation link or setup guide would be helpful too.I’m not using Lit or other frameworks — this is strictly for Angular-based widgets.

This is a share post. I was looking for a report that would list any Latest Released CAD Docs that do not have  a WVS Representation linked to them. The report looks for null values for the Derived Image. We all rely upon PDF and STEP generated files from the WVS service. When they do not exist, users can question the system's accuracy. Since the WVS publishing services are not 100% reliable, make sense to monitor for completeness. I know you can use the WVS Scheduler to just publish any by Context that are missing a representation. I also have WVS actions on search results toolbar. This way you can control what you republish. From this report, you can export to excel and target a search query and be specific on what you send to the publisher. My only issue with the schedule tasks is that you have no idea how many will be generated. This report gives you a quick check.

Hi, One of my clients wants to shut down the old Windchill server. They probably won't use old files from the server but they want to export them and maybe use some of them in the future.  Is it possible to export all data from Oracle Database using for example data pump and extract it? it will be possible then to open these exported files in Creo?  Thanks in advance.  

I have a circular part  with a rectangular keyway in the front plane.I have created an axis in the part normal to the front plane and referencing the right and top planes with 0.0 offsets. This is prior to creating any geometry.In the drawing of the part the axis crosshair is shown in the vertical plane and horizontal plane parallel to the keyway when the view is shown as front.If I rotate the front view by axis angle 45°, the axis crosshair are no longer shown as referencing the right and top of the part and parallel / perpendicular to the slot.Is there a way to have the axis cross hair fixed to the datums in the part, so that when the part is installed in an assembly , the angular dimensions can be called out  depending on the position of the keyway. And if the part is rotated in the drawing the axis stay aligned to the keyway. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I requested a license file for mathcad prime 11.0 from https://support.ptc.com/support/mathcad_supportCenterSingleUser.htm but i think i entered the wrong host id. I get invalid host id error in mathcads license configuration. I tried to request a new license file, but i get this message "You have reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type". I also tried to open a support case in support center, but i got this error message "Access Denied - Insufficient Privileges. In my eSupport settings it says i should be able to open a new case.

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: On my Windchill server there are multiple product contexts, but in one of them people are working with solidworks. Is there a way to prohibit publishing only in that specific context?Description: The goal is to prevent multiple failed jobs on the WVS job monitor and keep the queue free of unnecessary files.Also I don't have a solidworks license available to make a worker for these files.The only way I could find was to prohibit single files, so once a day I take a look at the WVS job monitor, filter for that solidworks context, make a prohibit rule, and delete it all.To configure a SolidWorks worker later on, I'm going to need to delete prohibition rules one by one or clean the table on DB.There's no clear identification on the DB table, and there are some rules that I don't want to remove.
