Hi Everyone.   I am asking a similar question to another, but the availability of the Academic Installation file in that "solved" topic is no longer valid. (https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/Creo-2-0-install-disk-files/m-p/361188#M3024)   I have a perpetual floating license for Creo 2.0 and I am currently running M040 and have no complaints. I have no maintenance program so I have no support services. I also have no physical disks for this edition and would like to manage my computer hardware risk (recovery) by making the installation image available for re-install.   If anyone has the disks, I would be happy to purchase them from you, or a copy of your disks, or I could download the image of the disk if you make it available for download. I'm querying a datatable, and passing this query (below). If I run the QueryDataTable entries with this query, it returns no results. If I just change the Station parameter to be "EQ" and just add the machine name as a string, the query works as expected (returning 40+ results).    What gives? I have just one more question. I would be glad if you can help.   I have been trying to place a button at the bottom of 2D canvas and it is invisible till the time no selection is made. Now let's say I have selected 'suspension assembly' in the drop down menu so now I want that button to become visible and when pressed should be able to load 'Suspension_Exploded_Low.pvz'. And when I select another option such as 'Arm assembly' in the drop down menu and the button is clicked it should load 'Arm_Assembly_Exploded_Low.pvz'. Also the 'Suspension_Exploded_Low.pvz' file should hide as soon as I click 'Arm Assembly'.   And thanks once again for the previous reply.

I am trying Prescriptive analytics on Thingworx with the analytics manager. The data set that i am using is a example data set with Temperature and Vibration values. I selected the values for levers and was able to generate the above prescriptive scores. However i am confused with the above results. The goal field i select was Goal and it has 3 values: good normal and bad.    1. How does the model understand the string ('good', 'normal' and 'bad')? 2. What does it mean by the value of the scores? eg what is the meaning of 0.22221755904502294? This value seems low so does it mean it is not optimized?

Unfortunately the site we are apparently supposed to use to transfer the license is broken. When trying to move a license from one machine to another it just says "An Error has occured" on the second step.

Hello, I am a teacher in a secondary school and we work with PTC Creo Parametric Student Edition in ICT subject. It is been 3 years now that we have been working with 3.0 version.   Unluckily, this year we are having some problems when installing the software in new computers. Students create their academic accounts, download the software (zip file), unzip the file and execute the setup-schools.exe file as an administrator. When the installation begins, it asks students to enter their account name and password, and just after it the computer stops running, it blocks, it gets stuck (I don't know the expression in English). It happens every time we try to install the software and it happens with any version: 3, 4 and 5.    Can you help me? Do you have any clue of what is happening?   Thank you in advance, Iñaki.

Hello,   My students worked during the last year with PTC Creo Parametric Student Edition, versions 3.0 and 4.0. They used the licenses provided in this forum: For Creo 3.0: BE400407EDSTUDENTEDK12 For Creo 4.0: BE410708EDSTUDENTEDK12   However, I am afraid this licenses will expire soon. Is there a way of just updating the license without having to uninstall and install again the program.   Thank you in advance.

We use collection widget to show menu style row in main mashup. This essentially renders n  number of icons in the footer. This main mashup also contains contained mashup in often we have to drive the contained mashup based on some action within those contained mashups. This works fine.   However, the challenge we face is for instance if a user clicks on Menu A which loads Mashup A in contained mashup and based on some action on contained mashup A user is automatically directed to Contained mashups B. Since switch between mashup wasn't the result of manual click on the icon in the footer the selection on the collection widget falls out of sync. Which would mean in above e.g. as user was navigated  programatically to Contained mashup B from Contained Mashup A, the footer with collection widget still shows icon A as selected when actually the user is viewing mashup B which corresponds to Icon B.   I hope i didn't make it too confusing 🙂   Is there anyway we

Hi Guys, I'm not sure if this topic is in the correct category, but we are having some problem with the free Creo View Express 5.0 software.We have installed 5 NUC’s (box pc’s) with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 . And we have updated the driver for this graphic card.The 5 NUC’s are having exactly the same problem. When we open a PVZ-file (assembly) and we hoover over some parts, the screen starts being “blocked”. When zooming and rotating the assembly there is no problem at all. This works really good. We had some worse experiences for zooming and rotating with pc’s with lower specs, but we haven’t got this problem with the “blocks”.Does anybody know what to do with this? I’ve tried to install Creo View Express 4.0 (an older version), but this won’t help either. I can see .wrl is a supported CAD file format. Are VRML animations supported in Vuforia Studio and can I control where in the animation sequence I want to be?   Thanks

Hello everyone I wanted that when any model item gets clicked it's colour should change and as well as some labels and image should be displayed. But I am going through some problems.  Problem 1: In preview when I single click model Item only labels and image gets displayed but when i double click it, colour of model item changes and label and image gets displayed. I want to convert this double click into single click mechanism.   Problem 2: During experience after double clicking on model item, labels and image gets dissapear but colour does not get back to normal. I want colour should also get back to normal.    I have attached my project. Also I don't know much of coding.     

Dear all,   I have a set of close points (every 20 mm for a 100m long curve) which I can import into Mathcad and use linterp to create a temporary function.    But when I need to call the function, I need the input to be the length of the curve. For example,   If I have a function y = sin(x) and I need to have a function which calculates the slope (tangent) at a distance 'd' but the distance is measured along the length of the curve sin(x) and not at x=d..   Is there any straightforward way of doing this ? I can think of one crude way (slowly start traversing the curve in small increments of x and keep on adding distance between y(x) and y(x+dx) until 'd' is reached and thereby now we know the (x,y) coordinates for the function and go from there). But I have to use this routine thousands of times and I don't think my method is efficient at all. Please suggest ?   Warm Regards, Aravind.

Windchill 11.0 M030 CPS 14   Hi Everyone, I'm successfully able to create a silent installation of DTI.  However I'm unsuccessful at auto-configuring a connection to the production Windchill server.  I thought exporting the registry key and importing it after the installation would do the job but it does not.  I'm able to get the "Production" icon within the "Windchill Documents" area of Windows Explorer but it doesn't contain any configuration data.  When I right-click and choose Windchill->Configuration the window comes up empty.  No servers with an alias.  Has anyone been able to configure DTI automatically?  I would hate to have all my users do this manually.   Thanks, Patrick Williams

I am trying to do a swept blend on two semi circle like shapes, the curves are actually splines. However the blend ends up like a conical shape in the middle when i want a smooth transition from the bigger semi circle to the smaller one. Need advice please!    

Hi, I've  added a new til in DataTable and it shows in Mfg, after following the guide in hingworx Apps Customization Guide 8.4.1 page 102.   1. TileIcon: I've made an icon for my tile under Media. It's supposed to be 80pixel high, but it filles the tile when viewed in runtime. It's a png-file. What file formats are supported?   2. TileLabel: For the Mfg Apps the tile label is a resource set in double square brackets [[PTC.SCA.SCA.....]]. I'm not able to source this resource in Twx to duplicate it. How is this handled? Please advice.  I've tried to add a ToolTip text instead, but this does not show on the Tile   3. TileDescription: as TileLabel

I am looking to make a call from within an extension widget to a service on the platform. Namely, I am looking to get the current user identity and some other tasks (which are handled by MyService) and use that internally in the widget to control certain parts of the html (such as hiding or showing buttons). So far I have referenced these two posts as well some of the SDK. I have had minor success with the ThingworxInvoker at least returning a table as opposed to the second method of using processServiceRequest (causes the widget to fail). Hey up everyone - I'm hoping someone may be able to shed some light on a couple of problems I've run into...1. I"m trying to develop a macro that will correctly format a batch of illustrations. So far everything's going to plan, but what I thought would be the easiest bit is proving the hardest. I want to use the 'fit to page' function, but I can't record it (the function is greyed out) and I can't find any reference in the help manual to script it either. Anyone done this before? After some digging it looks like this may only be a function available in 7.3 - I have 7.2, can anyone confirm?2. I'm also trying to select any text which is less than 7pt. I have 2 different sizes on the illustration so I can't use the 'font_size is not' function. I've been trying to develop a macro to select the smaller sized text and then lock it using the box.top and box.bottom parameters, but it fails to select the smaller size text, just the last piece of text on the illustration. Hi, After a PC rebuild, I had to reinstall the full suite of AR related software. Installed Vuforia Studio and had the foresight to save the project folder from the previous installation prior to rebuild. Re installed the Project folders and all looked well in Studio. Some Experiences contain buttons with PNG images which worked well prior to the rebuild, but noticed that when trying to view the Experience with a HoloLens, instead of the buttons triggering the rest of the functionality in the Experience, the model would just temporarily glow green and nothing else would happen.  Long story short, when billboarding was removed from the buttons, the Experience triggered the functions perfectly. As a test, I reapplied the billboarding, republished and the fault issue reoccured. Has anyone else experienced (pun intended) this issue? Using the latest version of Vuforia Studio and View. Using PTC Cloud for the Experience Service.   Regards, Brian
