To all,   We would like to "shade very small surfaces" by default (File --> Options --> Model Display)   But according to this page, there's no config option for this option: To Control Shading Quality   Does anyone know a way to check this box by default? (perhaps a hidden config option???)

Hi there,   i have a rather complex model (assembly) which has more than 100 components (parts). Therefore I tried to reduce the size of it in Illustrate 6.0. In the end I have a PVZ sized 75.4MB. I opened PVZ with CREO View Express, works fine. Then I import the PVZ into Vuforia Studio (8.4.7.4459, with Chrome 76.0.3809.132) with Model widget. Nothing shows up in the Canvas. Preview, nothing there. Next, I just publish it. And I can see the PVZ model with View (8.4.7.2286) on my Android.   My question is, why the PVZ doesn't show up in the Canvas of Vuforia Stuio? How to make the PVZ appear so I can compose the content properly.   Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I have a recurring issue in which parts in assemblies don't update. I'll have the assembly open, as well as a PartA. I make some changes to PartA. I can't get those changes to update in the assembly. Regenerate has no effect. The only way I can get the PartA to update in the assembly is by saving PartA, closing the assembly and reopening it. Any ideas what's going on here?

I am using CREO 3.0 M090.   I want to create a Custom BOM Balloon, which I can do.   In the custom BOM Balloon I want it to  display a model parameter, which I can do.   The issue is I want to circle or ellipse that I use to define my custom BOM Balloon to be hidden. I created the geometry and text for my custom BOM Balloon in a drawing.  I placed the circle or ellipse on a hidden layer. I then created a new symbol and selected the drawing geometry.  The circle or ellipse shows up in my symbol definition window.  I save this symbol in Windchill. I am going down this path so that I take advantage of the Merge Balloons option in the Table tab. I want to be able to Balloon several parts and then use the Merge Balloons command to remove all leaders except for a single leader.   When I take this custom BOM Balloon and use it in another drawing the circle or ellipse is visible, even though I have the same hidden layer.   Am I missing anything

Hi   I have a part file on local disk. I can open the same in Creo. Activate Wind chill Server within Creo and can check in the opened part (present into local disk) to windchill.   My query is how to do check in of part from local disk from windchill browser without opening Creo. Can I checkin part file from disk space to windchill if Creo is not installed on my machine?

Hello, I am trying to develop the custom widget. I already installed Eclipse eclipse-jee-2019-06-R-win32-x86_64. In my Eclipse project, I don't have this option "Run as -> Gradle (STS) Build". For that, I am trying to install below Gradle plugin from Eclipse Market place.  I am getting error while installing the Gradle . I could see that it is possible to sequence and link work definitions to provide hierarchy of a complete work flow in Operator Advisor guide doc, but I am not sure how this can be done.    Can someone advise me on the steps to link work definitions and how this can be done from the back end services.

Hello everyone,   in our current scenario, we have a Thing (with regular sensor data and so on) that we would like to attach files to (mostly .pdf and .png/jpeg).The idea is to make these files "available" to the user, just as the sensor data. These files may change over time.   In the optimal case, we have a folder laying somewhere in the network (probably one server that will contain folders for some things) and this folder is "synchronized" with the files attached to the thing.Now my questions are: 1) Is it possible to somehow synchronize a folder on a machine other than the thingworx server with the files associated with a thing? 2) Can Files be attached to a thing in the first place? Files can't be properties as far as I see, so there must be another way.   In later steps we would like to make these files of a thing available via a mashup (and most importantly through an AR-Experience)   Any hints on which Thingworx Components to use and which Tutorials to look

Hi, I am using Creo 4 M050 and Creo Product Insight for ThingWorx Extension 8.2.3. Currently facing an issue that I am not able to connect to ThingWorx server to retrieve sensor data from the server. When I click connect to server it shows error "Connection to ThingWorx server cannot be established"  We are using . Followed all the steps and configured the config.pro file, but then too facing issues while connecting to ThingWorx server. Also find attached the config.properties file where we are giving details like ThingWorx server, Administrator key etc.   Please help me with the solution.   Thanks and regards, Aditya

Hi, I want to disable drop down list on mashup loaded and when the user clicks a button it must be enabled so that the user can select the data. Is there any way to do this by using a service? And can we call mashup widgets into services or can we invoke mashup widgets from services?

Hi, My customer has 100,000 production files generated per day, they want to store in ThingWorx and view the File by searching the file path . The files should be remained for 6 months at least , so about 20 millions records . I'm going to use FileRepository to store these files , but can it afford the files ? It seems there is no database table for FileRepository and it only rely on the OS file system to search , right ? Regards, Sean

Hello,  I want to create Proportional chart or Progress bar in Vuforia Studio on 3D Eyewear project. Is there any way to create custom gauges in VS? I am using .SVG file for customized gauges but they are static. I want dynamic gauge. please find below image for reference.    

Following this guide, on 8.4.0 I am running into this issue.  I have to log into composer and then navigate to the runtime. Login fails in the Runtime/WelcomeForm.  This is fine to play with the trial edition, but for production I need to direct people to the Welcome screen to log in.  Is this just a trial edition bug?

I want to try to extrapolate force (tension) from a welded structure to perform a calculus as prescribed by EN1993-1-8.       I want obtained the forces by measures of a simple truss loaded by transversally. On each side of the green beam I want to simulate the presence of two filled weld with a=5mm. I used two kind of measure: Force and Interface.Looking on the Help it seems the proper one should be the force measure, but, in this case, I think both should be right.Exept that the results are different, so which are the right?   Thanks Bye

Hi   TstExcl.xlsx file is checked in and available in windchill with version A.1. What we need to do is to download (without checking it out) this file from windchill to a temporary location on system path.   For download, We should set ProServercheckoutoptsReadonlySet() as TRUE and checkout argument for ProServerObjectsCheckout() API as false.   Question is regarding how to set of path to which we need to make copy of excel file. Another query is regarding Excel file. Can we download from windchill with protoolkit or not?

Hi at all!Currently I´m using the Dropdown widget for a selection.  https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx_hc/thingworx_8_hc/en/index.html#page/ThingWorx/Help/Mashup_Builder/Widgets/DropdownWidgetBeta.html On the desktop everything works fine but when I switch to my mobile phone they disappear. The other widgets are still there.    I know that they are currently a beta version, but do you know why this is happening or do you know a workaround for this?Thanks!
