Hello   When you create a sequence from an illustration, the content recorded in the step occurs at the same time.I want to create a flash effect, then move the model and fade out. However, the above three effects occur simultaneously.In order to generate them sequentially, you need to divide or animate the steps for each effect. However, animations do not work in ThingWorx Studio.Also, when you step through each effect, ThingWorx Studio does not look good at showing you step-by-step through the buttons.   In other words, I hope that in the sequence phase, the effects or movements of the model do not happen at the same time but happen sequentially.   Any other good suggestions?   regards

Good day   I have added an infotable property (with a defined data shape) to the user extensions thing shape as seen below .Infotabe propert within User Extension thing shape I cannot update the infotable property on the user. If I open the infotable property up in the user the following is seen: It seems that the data shape I added to the property is not pulling through. I have tried calling the property through a service but I am given the error Must have a datashape defined to add rows. It seems to be similar to article CS240705 (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS240705&language=en&posno=2&q=infotable%20property%20user%20extensions&source=search). I am currently using ThingWorx 8.2.1-b140.   Any assistance would be greatly appriciated.

The following css style is applied to the grid widget, but the button does not position well.   .pos {margin-top: 30%;height: 30ch;}   When fixing the position of a widget, is it common to specify a position with a grid widget and then include the widget in it?   Any other good suggestions?   regards

Hello Everyone,  im trying to match normal and weibull distribution. The probability density and inverse cumulative probability distribution for probability of 0.25 for both distributions should be equal. I have to find two Weibull parameters (3rd parameter = 0). I´ve tried solve block but its not working.  Can someone help me?

Our IT department has been fiddling about with our accounts and computers, moving us from one domain to another and applying a lot of new permissions settings that seem to be causing a lot of grief. One rather big problem I'm coming across is the message given in the title to this post. When I create a new file, like a part or assembly, and attempt to save it, I get the message:   "You do not have the proper access privileges to perform this function."   Since it's in the message window and can be "scrolled out of view", I could miss this bit of info and exit Creo without ever having saved my potentially large amount of work. Since I noticed it, I've been able to weasel around the problem by saving the new file to my desktop under a different name, renaming it to the actual name I have in memory, and manually moving it into the proper server directory. As you might imagine, this is rather tedious if I'm creating dozens of parts for an assembly, and fraught with peril. Oddly e

1.  How do I make anomaly detection visible in MFG Apps 8.2? it is visible in MFG Apps 8.1 but not in 8.2 as seen in the screenshots below:   From MFG Apps 8.1 From MFG Apps 8.2 Thingwatcher is enabled and works independently but I still cannot see the anomaly detection on the front end.   I looked through the support document ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps Setup and Configuration Guide (https://www.ptc.com/support/-/media/D43B0660876340C7BF3C5CF393442B49.pdf?sc_lang=en) but couldn't find anything.   2. I would also like to know if it is possible to configure anomaly detection from the front end of MFG Apps?   Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hello everyone,   i have read all the other threads regarding this topic and so i tried to follow the pre installation steps mentioned here.   So i downgraded my docker version to 17.03.0 ce and my previous occuring "post installation error" does not come up any more. Instead i have the following errror     Attached you can find the log file. Hello Everyone,   i am working on a scenario where 1000+ Things of the same type are being connected to the Thingworx Platform. My Question is, whether it is possible to create one Thing which contains other Things as Properties (Kind of a composed Design which is usual in OOP).    I can imagine that this is a common scenario for IoT applications, but i wasn't able to find a solution for that. If it is not possible to have Things as properties, can you suggest another approach for this problem?    Note: Mainly i want to avoid having 1000+ things shown in the composer.   Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not sure how the display_internal_cable_portion is supposed to work: display_internal_cable_portion Values: no*, yes If set to yes, internal cable portions are displayed for wires that have been manually set to yes in the Setup Cable Paths dialog box for each individual splice and custom component. i have an iges containing a 2d spline taken from the cross section of a 3d scan, then exported as the curves in iges format. i need to be able to extrude the profile in creo parametric but for some reason it is not working at all. it wont import into a sketch as it says the iges is 3d. and other than tracing on a new sketch using the curves as referance points i dont know what to do. is there a way of taking the curve data and putting it directly in a sketch to extrude from?.  thanks for your time!. 

Does anyone know how to fix a missing segment in a flat harness? I have tried routing manually but it says "Cables are already layed out to this location. Select again".     The segment in the image below should connector to the branch.     There are actually two locations doing this, I assume the fix would be the same for both. Both the legs are "branch" bundles and I figure that must be related to it but I will be damned if I can figure it out.         And also if anyone knows why the flat harness wont taper or change diameter like the routed harness does that would be even better. I am less concerned with diameter. I just want to get this thing connected because I am sick of messing with it.   Thanks in advance for any help. Brian

Hi everyone, I'm using Postman to test the REST APIs for TW Analytics and I've made most of them work even though there is a lack of proper list of all APIs pertaining to Analytics. I'm having problem with uploading the CSV to AnalyticsUploadStorage which will be used to create a dataset. In the documentation here, they even mention an incorrect service name to do that (CreateFileText instead of CreateTextFile). I got the correct API endpoint by calling /Thingworx/Things/AnalyticsUploadStorage but I get the following error when I try to call it: Unable to Invoke Service CreateTextFile on AnalyticsUploadStorage : null Here is the Postman REST call: POST https://<serverIP>/Thingworx/Things/AnalyticsUploadStorage/Services/CreateTextFile?appKey=<appKey> form-data: data: csv_file.csv path: "/UptimeDowntimeData/csv_file.csv" overwrite: true I've also tried passing these values as application/json with data field having content of csv file as a string but to no avail.   &nbs

Hello, I'm using ThingWorx 8.2 and in a meshup I defined a textarea that should use monospace font (ie: Courier).   So in "New Composer" I set textarea's CustomClass=abFont and in Custom CSS I defined: .abFont {    font-family: Courier !important;}   However when I save and preview the meshup I see that abFont is applied to the outer bounding-box.   The font information is however overrided between such outer bounding-box and the inner textarea where the font is supposed to be monospaced...     How can I fix this ?   Thank you, A.

Hello all together,   Example: in Drawing Modus   In Creo 2.0, when i create dimension by dimension then i lay down, they selected all the dimenson i created and i can select tolerance 4 all these selected dimension´s.   Now in Creo 4.0   They only select the last dimension i created. how to plot repeated value ? Eg: for example i want to plot sin wave, i have values for 0-90 degree and i want to plot for 90-180 degree by reversing same data and so on till 360 degree or (0 to 2pi).   In the 1st graph, AA=[0,0.99,0.98,0.97,...1],size of AA is 20and i'm just repeating by modifying same data "AA"

Hello,   I was hoping to install the latest version of PTC Analytics Server 8.2 on Windows 2016. Is it still a requirement to have Postgres installed and set up for Analytics Server? Our team was hoping to have everything Windows based, so we are planning to use Microsoft SQL Server for Thingworx Core installation. I don't see Postgres on the requirements document on 8.2 for Analytics, but I don't see any RDBMS requirement on there either.   Thank you,York Prado

ThingWorx Analytics 8.1 Which service/s can be used to achieve the result equivalent to : Analytics Builder > Signals > New ?   I see a service CreateJob under AnalyticsServer_SignalsThing, but that just creates a job.   My requirement is I would like create a new signal using service/s and then that signal should be listed in Analytics Builder mashup under Signals.
