PTC Creo Parametric 3.0 M070, student version, has been running well for several weeks on two nearly identical laptops.  Today, on one laptop, PTC creo has slowed down to a crawl and is nearly useless.  Trying to rotate even the most simple part is agonizing.  There is a terrible lag for doing everything.The laptop works fine for other programs.  I'm using it right now.  Just PTC creo has this problem.  Creo works fine on the other nearly identical laptop.I have tried (1) reverting to default settings, (2) rebooting, and (3) uninstalling and re-installing creo and nothing has helped.  Any ideas?The only recent change to this laptop is the installation of python(x,y) for scientific computing.  Could that interfere with PTC?Help please, we are trying to finalize our FRC robot.  Thanks.

Hi,I have a simple assembly containing 2 parts A & B.I've made a family table for assembly and parts :Assy1 : A1 & B1Assy2 : A2 & B2A have a variable number of holes, driven by it's family tableB have the sames holes, repeated by reference.My problem is :Assy generic : A_generic & B_generic (5 holes)Assy2 : A2 & B2.A2 got 6 holes in family table.But B2 still repeat 5 holes of generic part.How can I do B2 follows A2 ?Thanks,Dominique

When I try to plot a user defined function on the y-axis vs. the independent variable on the x-axis, the independent variable is marked as undefined, and the plot fails; However, when I switch the positions of the function and the independent variable, such that the independent variable is on the y-axis, the plot works perfectly. Why is this the case? I need to plot the independent variable on the x-axis for the assignment I am working on. I have attached what I have so far. The plot is at the very end. I would like to know if it is possible to have the Sheet Name (system variable &sheet_name) changed to match the drawing sheet number (variable &sheet_number) automatically.My scenario is this:I have a 5 sheet drawing.BeforeI want to move sheet 5 after sheet 2.AfterThe sheet number on sheet tab 5 has changed to 3 but the sheet tab still says 5.Is there any way to have the sheet 5 tab automatically change to read Sheet 3 and the following sheet tabs to read sequentially?any assistance would be helpful.

Hi,In old versions of Pro/E Wildfire, there was an help function that can open help pages on a specific function of Pro/E.Cursor was an arrow with a little interrogation point.It was named something like "what is this" (?) in help menu.Is this still exist in Creo 2/3 ?I would like to find quickly the help page corresponding to a particular function.Thanks,Dominique

Hi,I have a problem with an integral. Symbolic evaluation resulted in a "hypergeom" function. The problem is Mathcad 15 does not recognize its own function "hypergeom". Is this a bug? Does anyone now how to deal with this problem? I am interested in solutions for 'z' larger than -10 in this particular example (away from the singularity).Best regardsRafal

I'm trying to install the UEM module (WebAgent in Apache from Dynatrace) on our brand new Windchill 11 with PSM5 installed and this is creating an issue.Before instaling the 6.3 WebAgent from Dynatrace everything is ok from user side and after installing and restarting Apache, the users are unable to upload content to windchill.We are currently testing a new install with using WebAgent 6.3 with fix pack 18 (6.3.4).

Hi,This is a part of several methods I must use to secure the ThingWorx deployment and production. The ThingWorx platform is based on our server. My final clients will have access and use the mashup created from ThingWorx. Do you have an idea how to do it safely ? Of course there are some users created for different clients.Here are some problems:- Giving the direct link of FormLogin / Mashup to client: they can simply modifiy the link to have access of Composer for example. Even if they can't modify my Things, my DataShapes ..., it's better to not giving access to Composer. Hi,   we would like to designate a dimension directly in Creo. Currently, we need to have an extra parameter in the creo file and copy the value of the dimension to this parameter, which can be designated. It would make more sense to designate the dimension directly.   Has anyone seen a solution for this? Will there be a possibility to do this in Creo 4?   Thank you for any input or feedback. /Gustav

When using the built-in "Print" command (View --> Print) in an item of Workflow and Documents, then all tabs of the item are printed one after another within one print job.I want now to print the contents of a single tab only, e.g. the "Summary" or "Overview" tab.Does anyone have an idea how to do this?I assume that this may be possible with some Java magic within a Custom command.Can anyone provide me a code snippet doing the job?

In the case of numbers, like tan(2), the Help provides clear information : figure after keyword confrac = number of accurate digits.But what is the meaning of this figure in the case of the function tan(x) ?Must confess that in the beginning it was a little bit confusing the display of the development of tan(x) by continued fractions...(Pls. see attached)Is there some trick to avoid the very tall vector of terms ? Probably by assigning the result of the symbolic evaluation by confrac to a variable without displaying the result...? Hi All,I have one question.How can I achieve updating of all properties (not necessarily all of them) for Things[myThing] from script.I've found only two services:UpdatePropertyValues - it uses dateshape Values, which I cannot find (sort of like VTQ, but value is type of VARIANT) SetPropertyValues - which expects some datashape before it allows to fill the infotable.Strangely enough there is also service SetProperties , but it is visible only in Mashups..Any Best-practice. I'am very tired today, so maybe solution will be easier than I think.Thanks a lot

I'm looking at a situation now where we have 50 devices we need to connect, each with 40 properties. These actually connect via a single gateway Thing, and so all 2000 remote properties are bound to that gateway thing. In this case our model also dictates that we have individual Things to represent each device, so then we have 50 Things, with their 40 properties each locally bound to its corresponding properties on the gateway Thing.So all in all we've got 2000 remote properties on a Thing (each updating say once per second), and each of those properties is bound locally to one of 50 other Things. Is there any limit we are approaching in this situation? I know this support case says maybe 1,000,000 property limit to safely open in composer, so I assume we are fine here. I'm just curious if the remote and local bindings start to decrease the limit recommendations for opening in composer, server load, etc.Thanks!Alex
