Hi everyone,I seem to need the help of the forum often lately... I need for test purposes to generate a sinus-wave with randomly varying frequency (and possibly also amplitude, but that is the lesser problem).  Something like an oscillator whose frequency is not perfectly stable. Or an oscillator whose frequency setting adjustment button would be slightly turned right and left randomly by a small amount.  Something like this:I attached my solution, but I am not happy with it at all. Obviously the "randomness" becomes higher and higher with the time, and for the same reason there are unwished jumps in the later part of the simulated signal.I understand that the problem is the time variable "t" in the equation A*sin(2*pi*f(t)*t) .But at the moment I can find no good simple way to correct the behaviour.Maybe I am missing something obvious  ... I understand that the Excel component does not "know" about units of measure internally.But if want to enter the value for a variable into the Excel component in a particular set of units, how do I do it?For example, I have a variable "Power" in the MCP 3 which uses units of MW, e.g.:Power := 10 MWIf I evaluate Power in MCP 3, by default, I get the following:Power = (1 x 10^7) WAnd 1 x 10^7  is also the value I get in the Excel Component if I create an Input Expression and set it equal to "Power".But, if I want to have the value in the Excel to be 10 (i.e. MW), how do I make that happen? Is there some way to implement the Input Expression so that I get the value in the correct units?Thanks in advance.--Doug

Two Questions:Is there any way to use the relations or parameter options to prompt a choice of two options when creating a drawing using a start part?I Have been tasked with creating start parts for my company.When we create a new drawing, we would like Creo to prompt the use to select either "DRAWING FOR REFERENCE ONLY" or "CAD DATA IS MASTER" to appear in the notes area of our title block.Has anyone done this before?Also, I found ways to create "drop-down" parameter boxes in these forums, but it uses a secondary text/.LST file which could easily be corrupted.Is there a way to embed it into the relations or parameters so it doesn't need to reference a separate file on our network?

Sorry if I am being a bit dense with this...I created a table of values in the MCP 3 Excel component.In the Outputs area, I set a variable ("Load") equal to a row of cells using an Output Expression multiplied by a unit (MW).Outside of the Excel component, I evaluate Load and I get, for example, the following:Load = [5.2 3.2 3.2 3.2 3.9] MWI have a few questions about this...One, when I looked at some YouTube tutoriials for the Excel component in which something very similar was done, the result of the evaluation was a vertical column of numbers rather than the horizontal row I get. Why is my evaluated result horizontal when the tutorial result is vertical?Second, what is this variable in MCP terms? Is it a vector or a range variable?Third, how do I use my variable. For example, if I wanted to set a variable, say, Load_3 to be equal to the 5th value in my vector (3.9), what would the syntax be? Hi all, I have developed a catastrophic problem with Creo 3 this morning. Everything was fine until a couple of hours ago, now I cannot open ANY drawing. I can open parts & assemblies no problem. At first I thought it was just a problem with the job I am currently working on, I had a couple of crashes this morning & I figured that maybe some files had become corrupted somehow. I have done some investigating & discovered that this problem exists outside my current working directory. There is nothing wrong with any of these files, I can open them fine in Creo 2 & 4. I can open my current drawings in Creo 4, so that proves the files are ok. 20 years I have been working with Pro-e/Creo & have never seen this before. As mentioned, I have Creo 4 installed but I don't want to start working with it just yet. Any clues any one? I am in a fix here, don't whether to un-install Creo 3 & re-installed it.RegardsJohn

I have created a mashup which contains a master. I want to load this mashup(lets refer it as master mashup) in the popup or modal popup.For this i have mapped the master mashup with the navigation widget and set the target window as modal popup or popup. But somehow the master mashup does not load when the popup or modal popup opens.However, when i try to open the same master mashup using target window as new or replace, it works fine.

Hello,I am trying to find documentation about how to configure Thingworx to use neo4j on the backend. I am trying to dockerize my Thingworx deploy and use a remote neo4j database. I found a very small bit about platform-settings.json that seems to have postgresql configuration parameters but very little about neo4j.Appendix B shows sample platform-settings.json for postgres - does it work for setting a remote neo4j?Setting THINGWORX_PLATFORM_SETTINGS env variable to specify where platform-settings.json lives​Ideally, I'd like to have neo4j as a standalone database (preferably with high availability with one writer and multiple readers).  At a mimum I'd like one remote database.  Is this possible?

We have a couple of users here who somehow lose associativity between drawings in annotator and parts in modeling but the viewsets are still in the model so I can re-associate them.  But somehow the users are saving parts that a drawing was made from but the viewset is not available...any ideas if it is possible to re-associate a drawing to a part without a viewset? Hi, is it possible to control the value of a round by graph feature? I have been trying to figure this out with little success. I can get the geometry i require with a sweep controlled by graph but i was trying to simplify things a little as it is only the round value that is changing. I am just trying to better understand the use of graph controlled features. A simple cube with a round running along a single edge will suffice, if anyone is willing to post an example if this is even possible.John

I have an output issue with mathcad Prime. I am missing a negative sign. I have attached PDF and actual Prime and mathcad files.

This occurred in Creo 3.0 M070.   A user just came to me with an error/problem I've never experience in Creo before.  He had just changed the angle of a datum that was used to create a sketch for a cut through the part.  After the change, the sketch references failed, but would not allow him to delete or replace the references.  The reference viewer buttons were all grayed out, and no matter what he did, he received a "failed references" popup.  We could not exit out of the sketch, select new references, or delete the old references.  He was essentially "stuck". We had to exit Creo completely.  Has anyone else experienced this?

I wish that creo would automatically delete model from the drawing when its drawing sheet is deleted.  We utilize multi sheet drawings which capture the entire top level assembly.  We have drawings that sometimes has 200+ sheets.  The annoyance occurs when a design is copied and several models are removed.  One goes into the new drawing and deletes the obsolete sheets and then has to find and delete those models.  I would think by now that PTC would have come up with a solution which would either automatically delete those models or prompt you to remove.Am I the only one in this boat??
