Hi,I am facing few problems with Thingworx StudioWhen I lauch the Thingworx Studio the welcome screen shows error as "Error occurred, check logs". I am not sure why this is happening.When I open Thingworx Studio. I can still see my earlier created projects, but I can't load them and when I try to create new one, even that is not working. Hello guys,Im modeling a wankel engine with axial intake ports, i have the geometry and the kinematics and now i need to analyse the port opening vs. crank angle rotation.Question is, are there any functions that could measure the combined area (or volume) of two parts in respect to the time or angle rotation ( i can set up both in mechanism ) and export it to text file?Thank you, if this question is not clear please ask and I will try to explain.

After creating a new assembly drawing along with a bill of materials list, we hit "Create Balloons - All". It seemed to have missed some of the parts and not give them a balloon at all, just skipping over them. We tried "Create Balloons - By Component" to add them to parts that were lacking but ran into trouble when it just wouldn't label the components after clicking them, double clicking, middle clicking. When transforming a eBOM to an mBOM, we have been duplicating without propagating child design parts (basically quick copy / paste).  We have noticed that there are links created between a design part in eBOM and the as-is design part in the mBOM.  The preference Allow Creation of Equivalence Link to Self controls this and the default is yes.....can anyone explain the pros and cons of leaving this yes or changing to no.  My gut tells me that we should just leave alone.....but I at least want to know why.  What would be the use case for both?

Hi all,I've created a document structure.  For each object in that structure, I've attached a "New URL Link attachment".  The URL looks something like:File://server_location/filename.htmBut, when I try to use the link (by clicking on it), the URL has a string (the string "unallowed") inserted.  In the web browser, it turns to:unallowedFile://server_location/filename.htmIs there any way to prevent the string “unallowed” from being inserted into the URL?Regards,Graham

Hello everyone.I am very new to IsoDraw, using v7.3, and I have a small issue.I want to convert .CGM file to its clear text encoding. I know my input file is encoded in binary and I want to use a command line to convert it to clear text encoding. There are a few things I don't understand :- What should be the command like ? For now I've been trying to change many subtleties but nothing seems to work.I always start with this : [path_to_isodraw.exe]\IsoDraw73.exe -s"path_to_source_file" -d"path_to_destination_file" . Then I try to use a simple macro with this only command "Export "path_to_cgm" "CGM". I checked in the preference file for my specific parameters and it seems ok. This macro is saved in my C:\User\myname\AppData\Roaming\ptc\Isodraw\Macro so I add this to my command line, giving this :[path_to_isodraw.exe]\IsoDraw73.exe -s"path_to_source_file.cgm" -d"path_to_destination_file.cgm" -m"C:\C:\User\myname\AppData\Roaming\ptc\Isodraw\Macro\convertCGM.ism".Now others questions I have

I have some existing symbols (.sym files) that I would like to edit. They are company specific symbols that need an update.The problem is that I cannot seem to edit the symbols.I can insert the symbols into drawings and I can edit the properties of the symbol from there but I cannot open the .sym file in the editor. Do I really have to remake them fram scratch?Im am using Creo Parametric 4.0 (release 3.0 M100)

What does the upgrademanager do on the fileservers? To run a rehearsal upgrade from a test server, I would like to simulate a replica fileserver without vault content by creating the folder structure and validating the folders in the UI. The production replica servers have too much content to easily clone for a rehearsal.This is not officially supported but I wondered if it would work. Has anyone tried something like this? Seems like it is worth a try. If it doesn't work I can rerun the upgrademanager and use "Manually Configure File Servers Post Upgrade."Mark
