Hello, When you buy a Creo Licence, they add a creo "home use" licence. If i install this licence on my personal computer, can I make commercial use of it ? But without any link with my employer who purchases the initial Creo license for my work. Concrete example :- I work in a design office of a private company with a Creo license. So i have a "home use" license in addition. On my personal time, the week-end for exemple, on my personal computer (no connection with my employer). Is it possible to design parts, print it in 3D and sell it with self-employed or independent status ? Thanks in advance.

I have the huge assembly. One of the drawing view have local section. The option "remove_cosms_from_xsecs" - set as "trim". In this case the section is shown correctly, but some cables are not visible or partially visible. When I change option  "remove_cosms_from_xsecs" to "total", then  all cables become visible, but section looks strange. Please see attached picture: there are shown displaying with different settings. Maybe somebody knows the secret trick how to make all thick cables visible and at the same time so that the local section is displayed correctly?I use Creo 9.

Hello everyone,I am encountering an issue with importing JT files into Creo Parametric 7.0.12.0 (also tested in Creo 11) that specifically affects parts. During the import process, hyphens ("-") in part names are automatically replaced with underscores ("_"). Interestingly, this behavior does not occur with assemblies and sub-assemblies, where hyphens are retained (please see attached images).Is there a way to disable or modify this behavior so that hyphens in part names are preserved? Perhaps a hidden option in the configuration files (config.pro) or any other solution that someone might know?Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance!Kurt

I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.5.0Can't active “Section” from view manager  

I generated a percentage range from 0 to 100% with a step of 5 percent. Since Mathcad did not want to concatenate two matrices generated this way using the augment function, I created a manually entered matrix. Here, a problem arose because the percentage range entered by different methods yields different results in calculations. What mechanism is behind this?  

So I was working really hard to be lazy and asked google gemini to make a formula for mathcad. It spit out some results, surprisingly, but it didn't work when I tried to paste it into mathcad prime 9.000. It showed some notation that I have never seen before and couldn't find any documentation saying that mathcad can even use it. See my picture attached. Anyone know how to use this "!" feature? Secondly I asked Gemini how to use its output and it said just copy and paste into mathcad, that didn't work, just pasted as a block of text, am I doing that wrong too? Any help is appreciated, or other better experiences using AGI?

Hi,I have been updating a Mathcad sheet and noticed that there are slight discrepancies in the results on the order of 1e-6. I tracked the source of this error and I got to this integral (shown below). There are two things I do not understand:1.- Function A and B are the same but for some reason B throws an error "this value must be an integer".2.- The integral should be equal to 1 when the upper limit is approx higher than 5. But for some reason the solution jumps from 1 to 5e-4 when the upper limit goes from 1.011e4 to 1.013e4, which is wrong. It should be 1. I am using Prime 8.0 Regards,   

We have run across multiple assembly files that have specific mate functions established in the assembly, that show how the assembly should move. When we import the file into Creo Illustrate, it appears all of those mates are removed/broken. For a simple (and non-proprietary) example, we can reference this destaco clamp animation: Destaco Clamp Animation (youtube.com) In this assembly, the movement of the plunger is controlled through the linkages that connect back to the handle. All of these mates can be established in the native CAD file. But when we import the file into Creo Illustrate, we cannot easily recreate this movement, especially for more complex assemblies with hundreds of parts and hundreds of mates.  Is it possible to keep these mates from the native CAD file? Am I importing the assembly wrong into Creo Illustrate?

 When using the root function of Mathcad with more than two parameters, an error occurs. It seems to be a bug. Does anyone have a solution? A simplified example of this issue is printed and attached as an mcdx file. In the original Mathcad sheet where I found this error, this function is used in an advanced routine with parameters in arrays and with dimensions. This function worked fine in previous versions of Mathcad.

Hello, does anyone know which is the best way to orient a 3D model normal to a specific selected surface in Creo View?

I am new to Creo View and after having been used to Solidworks, I could easily view an object perpendicular to itself by using a 'View Normal' command. It could be any face such as a bolt head, a square etc. But in creo view, I am finding it difficult to view objects normally and hence I am not able to view their alignment properly as I cant find the 'View Normal' option. Can anyone please help me with this. It is very difficult rather impossible to manually orient it to view it normally. Shift +N is used in Creo Parametric but what to do to "View Normally "in Creo View.Thanks in advance.

A weld symbol on a drawing specifies all around but it needs to be changed. The weld symbol was created in older version of Creo (4.0 or Wildfire 5.0) but where is this option located so it can be removed.. What is being overlooked?

Hi there, is there a way to deactivate "auto check in" in Windchill or in Creo 10?The thing with check in comments is, that our engineers tend to be lazy, when it comes to make "meaningful" comments.I tweaked the "custom check in" dialogue on the Windchill side to run some test on the comment, before it is accepted ( e.g. minimum length where "bla bla" does not count). But since there is this "auto check in" button in Creo, those lazy engineers can easily circumvent those tests. I already asked a similar question herehttps://community.ptc.com/t5/Customization/disable-quot-auto-check-in-quot/m-p/358999#M7254But the "solution" was not working for me. My hope is, that from Creo 3 to Creo 10 (and from Windchill 10 to 12) some things have changed ( and improved 🤞 ).

I am trying to run a structure mode analysis for a support plate assembly i have put together. Ive put together an assembly (fully constrained, and all part materials are defined) but I keep getting errors saying that i have cracks in my model.  This prevents me from running any sort of simulation. Ive looked online as to what creo means by cracks and from what i see.  "A crack exists in the model, probably caused by adjacent placement of free or contactinterfaces and bonded interfaces in a configuration that results in multiple coincidentcurves connecting the same pair of nodes. Please modify the interfaces to avoid this."Im unsure of what to do since everything is fully constrained.  nothing is overlapping or has any duplicate parts, and i cant really put the braze in that will hold everything together when this is manufactured. because of this, alot of the assembly has .002 or the like spacing.
