Hello, I’m having an issue in Creo Drawing:When I select a dimension and go to the Tolerance tab, all options (General, Shaft, Hole) are greyed out/uneditable.I have already enabled tolerances in the model properties.I have already retrieved ISO tolerance tables. The dimension is not a reference or driven dimension.Curiously, some drawings work fine, and their Tolerance tab is fully editable.Has anyone encountered this? How can I enable the Tolerance tab to edit tolerances in drawing dimensions?Thank you!
im a begginer and im having trouble making a cooling vent on a revolved surface ... i could just sketch the all the shape on one quarter ( mirror after ) then project it and maybe use punch or something like that to get the slots , but it seems like too much work and not really the smart thing to do , is there any other way i could do this ? not only the patterining it self is a problem but also having the pattern not cross the 120 diamter circle and the smaller circle ( the one with the hole ) , the modle comes from an exam question at the uni im learining at ... im using creo 10.9 thanks a lot
Hi everyone, I'm doing this creo excercise and amquite confused seeing how the tutorial video handled this part of the drawing.tia!link to the video I'm referencing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssI7dJEkdys

I was trying to convert a mathcad 15 file to mathcad prime 9, but I get an error in solving for this variable I placed all my guess values and constraints but it still does not work. Refer to the pictures with the solve block and how it was performed in mathcad 15.Mathcad 15 how it was performedMathcad prime 9.0 error in solve block
Hello,I have a cross section of a radial pump rotor with radiuses which I want to annotate the standard way with arrow and ''R8'' written for radius of 8 mm. I can do that to other curvatures, but not to to the surfaces made by feature ''round'' that are made on vane endings. I tried with ''show model annotations'' but there I can find these annotations being scattered elswhere to unwanted positions. Can not move them to cross section by ''edit attachment''. Whenever I click the curve that represents cross section of a round to insert ''dimension'' nothing happens- no dimension is written and no arrow shown. Same happens for any other similarly created rounds in this cross section. Despite round being defined as round of 8 mm, I can not measure it with ''measure'' tool. What is the way to annotate such rounds on cross sections while keeping them dependant on radius defined in ''round'' feature? Best regards!
Hello All, I’m trying to simulate torque applied to a ¼” hexagonal driver to a reduced A/F set screw. I have set the simulation up but getting very high stresses in the results. My question is does applying the ‘total load at point’ effectively divide the moment load by 6 in this case, the point created is at the centre of the hex? Due to the stress reported I suspect I may have to divide the torque value by 6 manually when setting the load up?
Hello all! I am reverse engineering radial pump rotor. I want to achieve a constant radius between pump vane and the ''casing'' - as if it is a ''round'', that fails if I try generating because of complex edge and surfaces. So basically I am asking for help/advice/past experience with how to make complex ''round'' feature on spiral-like intersection of two curved surfaces. I did it before with ''solidify'' of created quilts -but they were uneven and hard to change if I wanted different and constant radius along the intersection. Thank you!
Hi everyone,I’m working in Windchill with parts and drawings stored in my workspace. I’ve generated the drawing PDFs, and now I’d like to link all related information—such as design calculations, supporting documents, and relevant email correspondence—to the specific part in Windchill. The goal is to have a complete design history or data package for each part, similar to how it’s managed in Teamcenter, where all associated files and communication are traceable and connected to the part. What is the best way to achieve this in Windchill? Is there a recommended workflow or structure to ensure everything stays linked and easily accessible later?Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,
Hello, Right now a supplier is using Creo elements direct modeling latest version and they create annotations drawing files and send .bd2 files to us. I wanted to ask if there was a way for us to open it or convert it without having to turn it into a neutral file? We tried step file but my issue is when it comes to Creo Parametric the models are broken? Is there no direct way to address this? Thank you.
Hi everyone,I’m working with Creo 11 and trying to use the APIs ProDrawingViewDetailCreate and ProDrawingViewPartialVisibleAreaGet, both of which require a ref_point of type ProSelection. I’m facing consistent “bad input” errors and would appreciate any guidance from someone who has successfully implemented these. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Method 1: Programmatic datum point creationCreated a datum point → SuccessUsed ProPointInit → SuccessConverted using ProPointToGeomitem and Modelitem APIs → SuccessAttempted ProSelectionAlloc() → Failed to return a valid ProSelectionMethod 2: Manual selection approachCreated a datum pointSelected the point using ProSelection → SuccessPassed this selection to ProDrawingViewDetailCreate & ProDrawingViewPartialVisibleAreaGet → Both failed with “bad inputs”Method 3: Drawing entity approachCreated a point in the drawing using ProDtlEntityCreateUsed ProSelectionAlloc() → SuccessPassed it to ProDrawingViewDetailCreate & ProDrawingViewPartialVisib
Hello PTC Community. I am posting a Mathcad Prime 11.0.1.0 worksheet wherein I am evaluating certain quantities by performing element-wise multiplication and division of column vector variables. I believe that I am not doing this right.Your help will be appreciated. In MATLAB, it is .* & ./ for element-wise multiplication and division, respectively. Both the attached Mathcad & Excel sheets work together. Thank you for your assistance.
I would write a function to remove blank characters in rename the string. See attached.

Dear expertsI'm just frustrated about very primitive exercise in Creo Simulate 12. See the sketch below. In creo there is an assembly contains 2 composite parts, in real glued together. The cored composite board (composites 1) is bonded on composite frame L profile (composite 2). The target is to see how the rigidity of L profile affects the modal frequencies of board.Only composite quilts are supported in Simulate, it means the virtually gap is observed, the layup guilts are not in touch, bonded connection is not supported in this case. I have tested a lot of procedures, rigid link, spot weld...etc., but only bonded interface is closest to real surface - surface bonding.Another test I have made, in assembly the 3rd part - glue was created, the thickness was a gap, but there is a material interference - glue + laminate in real. Does anybody have an idea how to fix that? What is the correct connection feature between two composite parts, or generally between two shells?Thx a l

Hi all, I'm a long time user of Mathcad but first time poster - hoping someone can tell me where I'm going wrong! I'm having trouble in Prime 11 creating functions that use vectorized multiplication of two vectors, where the values inside one of the vectors was created using the sum operator. When I do the equivalent operation directly within the worksheet (i.e. not within a function it works without error. When I try replacing the sum operator within the function with a value it all works without error. The error message I get is "This value must be a matrix of scalar elements all of which have the same units" I've seen a lot of discussion about how this error can come from inappropriate use of ranges when vectors should be used - I've checked using IsArray & IsRange on all the vectors involved and I don't think I have any inadvertent ranges. Example worksheet showing my issue attached. If anyone can help tell me where I'm going wrong I'd
I have an assembly with two components. Every components has a simplified rep with the same name; UDSR where one feature is excluded. When I create a simplified rep in my assembly, I can select the User Defined Simplified Rep, pick UDSR, from each component. Works perfect. Now I want to create a rule-based simrep, where every component is loaded with the user defined simrep "udsr" in it.In the rule editor, I am on the Status Tab, selecting Display. Is it possible to search for a user defined simrep with a particular name?

Hello Everyone,I am trying to create a deployment in Intune for MathCAD prime 11 that uses the xml configuration files as a reference, but so far, I have been unsuccessful.I was wondering if anyone has success with deploying MathCAD prime via Microsoft Intune? If so, may I ask, what command line did you use? or possibly PowerShell script if that is what you use?
Hello everyone, I am working with Creo Parametric 12.4.2.0 and I want to export a .dxf file from a drawing, using:File > Save as > Export > DXF I usually use a sketch or a solid from a .prt file and place it in my drawing to do so. This works perfectly fine in Creo 3 and 6. My problem is, that whatever is contained on my drawing, gets turned into a image, when exporting it via Creo12. So if I open the .dxf file in another software, I do not have single splines or curves anymore, I have one big, very blurry, image, as seen on top here: What have I tried:using a solid part as a baseusing a sketch as a basetrying different dxf versionsdeleting layers for the export checking unit is the same between .prt and .drw export without drawing boarderexport with drawing boarder What I found out:creating the sketch directly in the drawing file returns a clean assembly of lines - but I do not want to re-draw my designs from the .prt. So this is
Hi all,Creo+ Version - 13.1.0.1-001Windchill+ Version - 12.1.2.17 I'm trying to map attributes from Windchill+ to our start parts and then drawing templates to populate our change block. I feel like I'm probably not the first to try this and imagine there's a solution out there I just can't find. One major issue I face is that due to being on a Windchill+ system, I don't have the ability to change attributes through Type & Attribute Management without moving through PTC. If that is the only way to achieve my goal I will, but just need to know if that's my best bet. The attributes I would like to map would be :Change Notice NumberCA II DescriptionResolution DateCreated By If anyone has some information I would be grateful! Attached is image of an ECN with red outlines for the desired information to be mapped. Thanks,
