I would like to create a map key to save a file to the current working directory\Release with the current date. Is there a way to do this with a variable? ie %CWD\Release\filename.%mm%dd%yy.pdf
I have a licence for Mathcad 8.0 professional, and I´ve changed computers, and I don´t have a CD reader anymore. Can you send me a downloadable version of it so I can continue using it? Regards,
In Creo Sheetmetal, we need to get the drawing of flatten view directly without having any step. Please refer attached video from Soildworks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNMcbeZMGGA&t=110s Do we have this functionality in Creo ?
I'm using Creo 12.4.0.0 and I'm experiencing an issue when trying to edit certain configuration files in Creo ModelCHECK. Here is the situation:I can edit Start Files and Status Files under the Configuration Files section without any problem. However, when I try to edit files under Check Files or Constant Files, Creo crashes. For example, I tried openin the default_checks_mch, file but Creo immediately crashes. The crash only happens when editing Check/Constant files, not Start/Status files.
In the piping line stock there first tab, one can specify bend radius and bend angle with multiple values, space separated. Why and what is the impact of having multiple values there? Do they drive the pipe design? Then in the Design Rule tab one can define a miniumum and maximum bend radius and angle. Are these driving or what purpose do they have? In the User Defined tab one can define bends (with names) and a value to them. Are these driving or what is the purpose? What I eventually want to do is to ensure that the bend radius is always 30mm. A further refinement that I'm not sure is possible would be to have it vary depending on the bend angle. This is because the bend machine that we have has a fixed radius, and as such the springback of tubes that are bend result in a radius other than 30mm, depending on the angle that is bent.
Creo 10.0.8.0In our material library I want to be able to add the common material designations as custom attributes in the material file. THEN, I want to use a relation to automatically populate the material attribute MATL_SPEC with the material attribute when it exists. But I have found then when the "custom" material property doesn't exist the relations fail. I tried using the "exists()" function to check, but the equation fails before getting to the "exists()" function. This is the equation I was trying to use. When "custom" exists, it works, but if "custom" doesn't exist it fails.if exists(material_param("custom"))test=material_param("custom")endif Also, I've found then when "custom" does exist, I don't actually enter into the "do" part of the IF statement. Is there another recommended work-around or relation function structure I can try?
Please,,clarify to meIs possible i,and run locally Creo Floating (as client)? Thank you, Pedro.
Currently using MathCAD v15 (M050). I have Prime 10 but am having licensing issues at the moment. Anyway, I'm having trouble understanding why the invlaplace function won't evaluate as shown in the attachment. If I remove the absolute value sign, then it all works as expected (am I just running up against a domain issue and need to use the "assume" keyword.....or something......?)Any advice is welcomed and appreciated! If Prime 10 has no problem with it, then that's my answer (just gotta lean on IT to get the license issues sorted). Thanks!
When exporting a 2D creo drawing to PDF, the microsoft word objects that are inserted are not selectable text in the final PDF. Is there a setting so that inserted objects are selectable/highlightable in the resulting PDF? Inserting an object in this way, but it seems to come into the 2D drawing as an image and not text/table.
I’m starting to learn how GD&T works, but I’ve run into an issue. For a plunger pump, I’m making this 2D drawing. I set datum A as the surface the housing rests on, datum B as the axis of the large gears, and datum C as the cover surface with the roller bearing for the shaft carrying the small gear. Now the problem is the area where the crosshead runs. I’m not sure how to dimension this correctly. Should I use a position tolerance relative to B–A–C, or is it better to use parallelism and perpendicularity? Are there other correct methods?Below are two screenshots showing where my datums are located and what the pump looks like in section.
For a school project, I need to make 2D drawings of already existing 3D parts.Normally, I specify my tolerances (for example 10 n6) using the menu shown in the picture. However, now I can’t do this. Is it because the files date from 2017 and were created in an older Creo version than the one I’m currently using? Also is there a site or forum where i can let my 2D drawings be checked? i got a exam coming up and would love to have them checked but idk if that existsHow can I fix this? I am using Creo 12.4 Education.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeF000I need to store a background image used in a Creo drawing as a Windchill-managed document so others can see it. Currently when I try to create/import a Graphics Dynamic Document (or other Document) in Product I get: ‘You do not have create permission for this object.’ Could you please grant me Create permission for documents in this product/folder, or create a shared library/folder where I have create rights for such image documents?
It says that i have reached my maximum number of license avaiable for my product
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.6.0PDM Server to Local workspace Connectivity issuesHere are the errors that I faced1.The child, top-level assembly was loaded, but the retrieval error persisted even after leaving the system connected to the network for 9 hours.(During this time, we did not disturbed Creo interface).
XMCD,MCD Converter tab is greyed out. i need to open a .XMCD file created in Mathcad 15
I am attempting to install Mathcad 14.0 from CD on a new PC but am unable to complete the license setup due to a "(403) Forbidden" error. I suspect this may be related to the age of the software version. Does anyone know how to solve this?
So a few days ago i made a post of my graphs not working. Back then i asked 3 teachers to look at it but they all couldn't solve it. Luckly the ptc community could. But now i need to present the solution and i want to add fancy things so it looks more complex then it is.For example first check of something is a range but somehow my second value wont work for it.Any other idea's to make it look more complicated?
Hello everyone, I'm building some mapkeys to create some basic functionality that PTC forgot to add in the past 10 years. To do this I'm using the "find tool", which works okay-ish. You can't use the saved query mode though, because sometimes it takes too long to load the query and then it's already finished doing all the mapkey commands, so you have the build the query every single time in the mapkey.... But I'm getting sidetracked. Right now I'm building a mapkey that hides all fasteners in the model. So I use the find tool to look for all fasteners and then hide them. However after running the mapkey, my whole model tree is expanded to the level where every single fastener is.I have tried changing auto_locate_in_tree to every possible option but that only works for items you select by clicking on them.I don't want to use collapse all, because if I was already deep in the tree when running the mapkey, I'd have to dig again. Any ideas on how to do this?
Maybe I am the weird but I would like to be able to format results using commas to make the "thousands" and "millions" clear.I realize that one can use engineering notation with powers of 10^3, 10^6, etc. but it would be nice to be able to have "3,000.00" or "42,000,500"One has always had that available in Excel (or its long departed competitors... Anyone remember Visicalc or SuperCalc?)--Doug
I am using Creo Parametric 11.0.6.0. In AutoCAD, there is a feature called compare with which we could compare the drawings and find out the changes that are made. In the above image, the holes are changed from Dia 10 to Dia 8. On using the compare tool, the affected regions highlighted with cloud like marking. Is there an equivalent feature in Creo that does the same function as above?
We are using Creo View 10.1.0.0. I am trying to learn how the two compare tools work (geometry and view state). I cannot determine how Creo view decides where to place the Compare Report [annotation set]. Sometimes it puts it in the first picked iteration, sometimes it puts it in the second picked iteration. I saw a video where someone actually had the iterations shown in the primary panel, next to the part file name. Unfortunately, ours does not show this info. Is there a way to show it? I was thinking if I knew which was which, I might be able to determine where the report gets saved.
I am creating hole table from points and customized the table according to requirements i,e added some rows but after putting table on drawing when it is need to update by clicking "UPDATE TABLES" it failing all added rows are failed not showing properly .Kindly help to resolve this issue or how can we customized the hole table according to our requirements. Please see attached snaps for reference.

Hello,I'm trying to make an "If" statement on Mathcad 15 that is able to pull a value for Alpha based on the Exposure Category assigned (B, C or D). I did this on Mathcad Prime (see snip) but having problems replicating it on Mathcad 15. I defined exposure earlier as " E = "B", but when i try to type the if statement it says "Cannot understand this syntax". Any help is appreciated, Thanks!
