Hey everyone, wondering if you've seen this issue before and know how to fix it. I searched and didn't see the same issue on the forums. When creating a note with a leader and then going to annotate and creating a geometric tolerance callout, I can take that and hover over the leader note and click it and it'll snap into place under the note as seen in the picture below. We've see this changes the note from a geometric tolerance in the detail tree. It essentially becomes a GTOL callout with additional text above the callout. This is how we want it to look. Last night Creo started doing this. Same note creation, same Gtol placement, but instead of snapping it below the note, it snaps it at the end of the leader line and keeps the note a note and the gtol a gtol without combining them as shown below. Has anyone seen this happen or know how to get Creo to automatically do this correctly every time.

We recently crossed 16,000+ downloads for CREOSON 🎉 - a FREE / Open Source interface for automating Creo Parametric. Massive interest in automating Creo Parametric this year! CREOSON 4.0 (currently in beta) is the next major release, and will have amazing capabilities for automating Creo Parametric - specifically an MCP (Model Context Protocol) Interface for AI Agents. As we were developing that MCP / AI Agent Interface for CREOSON 4.0, we realized that there was still a significant gap between CAD Users, Developers, without AI being in the mix. That gap is significant - CAD Users are typically not Developers, Developers are typically not CAD Users. Creo Parametric is basically a queryable and actionable database of user content (parts, assemblies, drawings, etc.) via Creo APIs (e.g. JLINK). CREOSON was designed to provide a generic API to JLINK - but simpler and easier to understand, navigate, and use. Basically, the objective was to create APIs that a user could easily identify
When saving a copy of a part in Creo Parametric give the option to ‘save a copy and open’ This option is available when saving a copy of assemblies, why not parts?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0.3.0.Is it possible export file in format of GLTF from Creo Parametric ?
I am trying to continue using an existing Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 5.0 M030 installation on a newer laptop with Windows 11. I am seeing intermittent crashes and complete hangs when opening certain assemblies and parts. What makes this especially interesting is that the same Wildfire installation and the same design files work normally on my older laptop.Older laptop — works normallyWindows 10 Pro, Version 1803, OS Build 17134.1246 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670 Graphics driver 8.970.100.9001 Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 5.0 M030New laptop — hangs/crashesWindows 11 Home, Version 25H2, OS Build 26200.9457 HP Envy x360 15-fe0xxx 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U Intel Iris Xe Graphics Graphics driver 32.0.101.5542 Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 5.0 M030One reproducible exampleI have a Govee Junction Box assembly containing a PCB assembly with many manifold_solid_brep_*.prt.1 components used as the geometry/symbols for PCB components. The Govee Junction Box assembly always hangs on the new Windows 11 laptop.I examined
Hello, I have the same request as this thread made a long time ago :Model Parameter = Today's Date | CommunityAnyone out there know how to set a model parameter equal to Today's Date?Specifically, I'm looking for a way to set the date of a parameter equal to today's date during the creation of a new part or assembly. There was a proposition to add the parameter (&todays_date) into your template.I cannot make a parameter named “&todays_date”I created a parameter named “DESIGN DATE” with the value “&todays_date” in the part template. When I create a new part with this template, the parameter remains “&todays_date”.Is it me who does not make this right or is there another way ?
I don’t know if anyone in the support portal watches this space, but…1) The link to PTC community is still to the old site. Still pointing to “https://www.ptcusercommunity.com/” See figure below.2) I think you might be able to claim free credit to close out CS415853 with the work done to close out CS457962.Figure 1 - Web element with wrong link
Using Creo 10 on Windows 11. How do I write the metrics and reports to a user folder using the config_init.mc file? Target Directory“C:\data\<username>\Creo10\mc_report” Some details that may help. 1) We do set a username system variable that I could key into.2) The “Creo10” folder level is the working directory which we set. Do I focus on the NT or not labeled options.DIR_REPORT_NT or DIR_REPORTThanks for your advise.

What is CREOSON?CREOSON is the Open Source JSON interface to Creo Parametric via JLINK. It is kind of popular -- over 15,000 downloads and going! It is used by individuals up through global companies to automate Creo ParametricCREOSON 4.x has been in internal development objectives / new features:MCP Endpoint - for Local/Cloud AI Agents to talk with and drive Creo Parametric) “Skills” - enable your Local/Cloud AI Harness to drive Creo Parametric properly Local AI - enable companies to path run AI (100% local, isolated, sovereign, in control) Security - enable TLS / HTTPS / Key Access Management options User Experience - Install, Configure, Deploy, Interact, etc.. (it has to be obvious/easy) (and a few other bells and whistles) Here is what is coming in CREOSON 4.x: While connecting AI to Creo Parametric is not new (it has been done before in limited scope / examples); the typical setup is complicated, fragile, one-off.We are looking to make MCP a first-class interface for CREOSON, and
When you modify a feature which a round relies on and some of the rounds/ chamfers fail because of missing references - have an option to remove only the rounds rounds/ chamfers which are missing references but keep rounds/ chamfers which still have their references intact
HiI saw this topic: but it is not working for me.When i export, my drawings are shown like this but in the creo drawing the lines are thinner, i can clearly see the slots or grooves that I have created. and also is this the config file that I’m supposed to add the path? Please let me know what steps I’m missing
Hi!To semplify the mesh with beams, i use “Prismatic element control” and meshing is very fast I can not use “prismatic element control” if the surface is inclined In this second case, without any control, meshing take a lot of time Maybe, you know other way to speed up meshing phaseThank you Best Regards
I am trying to sort a column of a 2D repeat region table, how do I do this? The 2D repeat region table is derived from a family table. I do not want to change the way the original family table is sorted. I would also like to re-order the parameter name columns in the table. I am using Creo 2.0. Thanks for your help!
This might be an “us” issue but we have an issue where the internal browser for Creo (version 9) is defaulting to the wrong SSO authenticator for Windchill when we try to connect Creo. We are in a company transition so our server exists on our old corporate network which we have opened up access to. On our laptops, we are logged in as users in the new company. In Chrome or Edge, we are able to create dual profiles in those browsers and leverage “other user” when connecting to Windchill. No issues so far. Also most all users do get this option in Creo and it has worked. Where we have seen this is if the user tried to connect with new company credentials and browser remembers it. Clearing cache seemed to fix this. I’ve tried all the steps in Creo to clear the cache, remove folders, to try and reset things but no luck. https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS368331?source=searchSteps above did not work. We have removed the creo9ws folder and recreated it. Is there someplace else I can l
A preview of something that is being tested within CREOSON, looking for feedback and ideas.Keep these questions in mind as you read:Do I (or my company) care about my data going to someone else’s AI / Cloud? What use cases, processes, interfaces cause pain today? How could this change my day? Why do I care? The intent is to provide a FREE AI MCP (Model Context Protocol) interface within CREOSON that enables your AI Agents to connect to and drive Creo Parametric either as a specific set of contextual tasks - or within the context of other systems/environment workflows (e.g. YOUR models, standards, documents, EPR, PLM, etc.). Seems like this would be super powerful, and provide a lot of utility. This screen capture is an example of an AI Agent validating a connection to a new CREOSON MCP Endpoint (prototype currently). CREOSON - AI MCP Endpoint First Connection Test ResultThe CREOSON MCP Server enables you to choose/bring your own AI (Commercial Platform or Local AI). The screenshot abo
Hi, Anyone suggest me a way to save all drawings in a folder to save as pdf. If i have 20 Drawings in a folder in 'drw' format. How can i save all drawings to pdf in batch.
Hi everyone, Reference topic: Midnight Theme not loading from default. | Community has anybody figured out how to change icons when using Midnight theme? Most of them are OK as they are, but some (such as Edit references) are almost indistinguishable from the background. I found the folder, where the icons are stored (Common Files\text\resource), but unfortunately it seems, that when Creo starts, icons are not loaded from here. I also tried deleting creo_parametric_customization.ui files in CommonFiles/text and in Start folder, but to no success. After trials and discussions with AIs, it seems that the only way is to create small mapkey macros for all such problematic icons and replacing system icons with custom ones where I can use my light variants of the icons. Is there some other way that you know of, how to do it easier?
This month’s challenge is a part design problem based around curves and sweeps: Using part modeling features, design a twisted wire pair that passes through at least three non-planar points. (Bonus) Using Flat-to-Screen 3D Annotations, create parametric notes so that a user can modify the twisted pair. For example, diameter of the wires or rate of twist (similar to the pitch of a helical sweep). Is your modeling robust enough to handle dimension changes? (Extra) Model 2, 3, or 4 twisted pairs that travel along the same trajectory, similar to a CAT6 cable. (Super Challenge) Can you make two twisted pairs that twist around each other? Post a picture or pictures of your work as well as the models. Indicate what version of Creo you used. This challenge is based on a technique I saw in a PTC newsletter 20 years ago, so this can be done using a standard license of Creo (or even Wildfire or Pro/ENGINEER). Note that this is NOT a cabling challenge; you should use part modeling featur
We are upgrading from Creo 10 to 13 and noticed mapkeys where removed from the config.pro in Creo 11. In Creo 10 we have a global config.pro on a network drive that is loaded when users start Creo and can be updated by the admin at any time. In Creo 13 (11 and on), the admin mapkeys only seem to work when being stored in C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 13.4.0.0\Common Files\text\mapkeys.pro. This makes changes difficult and requires updating the file on every users PC to make a change. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and any potential solutions would be appreciated.
Hi allIs there a way to show the names of user selected datum points in drawing views?Point Names coming from point cloud as these:Can be listed in hole table like this: but should as well showing up on a drawing view unlike this, because here I cannot specify the location by my self and I can not deselect unused points.and I do not like to activate the option, becaus this is a user setting and the names need to be on the drawing all the times. Does any body know a way to do it in a way that the names in the point cloud is linked to the name on the drawing view? Many thanks in advance for your inputs.Pius
We are planning to use some AAX extensions to our global licensses PROE_DesignEssG.Is that possible and how can that be achieved fo specific selected users.
