Dear all!Does anyone know how to create mapkey to assemble multiple parts / assemblies to active assembly at once? I want to add parts in "zero parts" rep with default placement option. Zero parts means in this case that all parts in assemblies are excluded and part features are excluded too. Mapkey does not have to create these reps to parts cos' these are already created. I would like to copy set of part names from Excel to Creo at once, not to type name after name. When parts are added to active asm, reps can be changed to e.g. master rep and Ioaded to workspace. In our company we have this kind of mapkey but it adds parts as included and it is really slow to get parts visible. This mapkey opens new window where I can paste set of name w/o prt or asm extension. This would be very useful if I want to review just certain components in tmp asm from a very large assembly. We are using PDM Link and Creo parametric 2.0. I do not want do add End Item to WS and create reps for it. We have ce

Hi, We are trying to fetch the parameter value which is present in tools -> parameter using API, we tried using ProParameterValueWithUnitsGet but we are not able to get the value. kindly suggest API to fetch the parameter value. Thanks
Hi! When I put insulation on my pipe as shown in pic (insulation is extra thick because of the visualization), it doesn´t put insulation on the fitted elbows, tees och valves. How do I make this happen? I use non spec-driven piping. Thankful for answers! Regards Johan
Hi, Does anyone have some experience with Teamcenter and Creo integration and if so is there documentation available? Also, does Teamcenter handle Creo data well? I am asking from a Windchill point of view and it is unclear whether this integration should be done by the TC PLM provider or WC PLM provider into or with Creo. Appreciate the help.
We hope you've been following along with this series in which we present quick Creo tutorials directly from our experts: our product managers. This is the final set of how-to tutorials in the series. It's a perfect opportunity to learn something new. Take a look below at about 15 minutes of video tips to help you boost your Creo proficiency. Let's get started. Add Cable Mass to Properties Listed in the BOM When you're working with cable harnesses, you might need wire mass included in properties listed in the Bill of Materials (BOM). In this tutorial, see how to report mass properties for each wire in a BOM. Watch the tutorial: Toolpath Controls for Cutline Milling Creo automates many cutline milling processes, making it easy to define the point of contact between the cutting tool and the surface being machined, thus resulting in a smooth toolpath. In this tutorial, see how to: Create a helical toolpath
For anyone out there trying to do complex repeat regions relations on a part drawing, three new report parameters have been added to Creo Parametric 5.0 that will make your lives much better! These really open the doors to doing some pretty cool things that simply couldn't be done before on a part level drawing. &mdl.name &mdl.type &mdl.User Defined Here is the official help documentation link: http://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/usascii/#page/whats_new_pma%2FDetailReportParameters.html%23
Hi, we recently upgraded from Creo 2.0 to 4.0 and from windchill 10 to 11. Since the switch, when we regenerate an assembly for example, we get the conflict window "Skipped regeneration of Read Only object" on some parts, but not all. These parts are not Read Only, they are not marked as Read Only in the windchill viewer. These parts have not been released either, they are "in work" on windchill. The only way to regenerate these parts are to check them out manually. Would anyone know how to fix this? I don't want to just hide the conflict message, I want the parts to regenerate. Thank you, Joey
Trying to update from Creo 5.0 to Creo 6.0. Testing the new software out and we tried opening a part that we have been able to use Simulate for with Creo 5.0, and once you press "Simulate" under the Applications tab, nothing else happens. The part remains in Creo Parametric and doesn't show the Simulation buttons. The text at the lower left of the window says "Part "part_name" not changed since last regen."
I need to attach GD&T to an axis. How is that done in Creo 5? I can't apply it to a surface because the surface is drafted and I need to control the center plane.
Hi, would there be a way to quickly change (toggle) a drawing dimension from driving to reference (and back)? Does anyone have a macro or a hidden command? Thanks Rick
I want to do some automated Tasks in Creo controlled by a python script. I prefer a simple solution without the need of extra Software (creoson / creopyson). What works is to start Creo with a Batch file or from cmd with the Trail-file. (parametric.exe .psf Trail.txt) But when I start Creo like this from within python, the Trail file is ignored. I don't know why. I use the external Analysis and .csv files to change Parameters and get measurements. The csv-files are read/written with the python script. Is there something in Creo, which blocks the Trail-file when started from python? I think it would be the same, if I use a different programming language. I've tried the following: batch-file: "C:\Program Files\ptc\Creo 4.0\M070\Parametric\bin\parametric.exe" "C:\Program Files\ptc\Creo 4.0\M070\Parametric\bin\parametric1.psf" M:\test_trail.txt python commands: start with batch file: import os import subprocess os.chdir(pathlib.Path(r"C:\Pr

HI all, How do i change the settings so that when i create a new drawing it is in First Angle? I know how to change it in the 'active drawing' but i want to set it so that it is set as a default when creating a new drawing. We create new drawings using drawing formats that we have set up. Thanks
I want to use creo 7.0 Will mold analysis Extension works on creo 7.0..?
Hi All, Can someone help me with some customization? Or potentially maybe there is a setting for this already. I am looking to run a program to automatically generate feature names in a assembly. I added these in manually below, but some automation would be great. I am not really familiar with writing any code in Creo.
Is it possible to add a tolerance to both the chamfer & angle in a single dimension, see attached screen grab. It's not something I've needed to do before
Dear all, I am trying to use my Student edition of Pro/Engineer Wildfire 4.0 under Windows 10. Installing the software was no problem at all. I can also access my account. But I cannot get a license file. The system puts out "Invalid parameter values have been passed in. The application cannot continue." I tried several ways as mentioned on the PTC website to get the host-id and there are two ids. One for my ethernet adapter and the other one for my wifi adapter. Apparently my install runs on the ethernet adapter. Even having figured out this I cannot get a license file. Is there another way to get it or edit my old license file?Best regardsFelix
hi, How can I get the Creo trial? I followed the link https://www.ptc.com/en/products/cad/creo/trial and gave all details including my name, phone number, official email id, etc. It says PTC will contact you soon for further instructions but no response from the last few days. Can anybody help me to get that?
Hi, I am trying to import a SLDPRT file into parametric 4.0 and every time I try creo locks up any ideas?
Hi, Is kinematics possible within Sketch in Creo? Similarly to Solidworks where I create Blocks which are constrained, where grabbing one block I could get some movement? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ5iW8qu8Yk thank you, Arek
