We are looking for information related to the performance Impact (overhead) of monitoring Windchill with PSM 4.0 (OOTB Installation of Windchill 10.2 M020/M030 and PSM 4.0).We would be very interested if anyone can share experience (and figures) related to this performance impact

I made a simple extrusion (for a label) and imported a .JPG as a custom appearance, and it fit perfectly.However, when I try to put the model into a DRW, all I get is the overall shape of the label. The texture does not show. I was wondering if it was at all possible to make the texture show in the drawing and how to go about doing that.On a side note, the rear side of the same label shows the .JPG in reverse (As if looking at it from the back, which makes sense if you think about it) can it be flipped in the appearance manager or do I have to make the original .JPG a mirror version of it self so that it can get re-mirrored and look correct on my label?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello everybody ! First post and i'm not a native english speaker so if there are some mistakes i apologize for this.   I have a problem about machining counterbore in CoCreate Modeling 17.0..easy for you but hard for me   when we want to create counterbore hole a dialog comes out which needs too many parameters(workplane. counterbore diameter .counterbore depth. diameter.....), it's too intricate and the counterbore hole is standardized..so I make a customized toolbar as you see the attachment, and you needn't input the paremeters above,just choose the point where you want to put......   but here's the problem, I can't find the function for making counterbore hole in IKit... is there a function or other record lisp like "EXTRUDE"."C_CIRCLE " ect.   PS:  I've viewed too many topics on the website:http://www.cocreateusers.org/forum/ but i have no idea why i can't register on that forum and it's a bit difficult situation about my not well english.   Thanks

Hello,I have a question about how I can get multiple out puts from a single program made up of nested loops.Can I only return a single variable from a program or am I looking at this all wrong. Can anyone explain how to get a Change Activity Task's 'Need Date' to display in My Task table?  Only Deadline is available.  It's not a column option in the Customize Table menu.  Need date is important for the assignee to prioritize work, and... know when the task is due as the field would indicate. ProjectLink Plan Activities 'Estimated Date' appear, and that is great for the assignee to know when it's needed.  Although I'd prefer to have similar nomenclature for need by date for all windchill Tasks, but I'll take it. Or provide some feedback as to how you deal with it (workaround, or notifying assignee when work is needed), and or why it's not available so I can take some satisfaction in a rational. Good morning to everybody,perhaps someone of you have a solution for this problem:I have defined some Combined States in a Creo assembly.Some 3D annotations are assigned to specific combined states so that every state displays only certain annotations. This works fine in Creo Parametric 2 and 3.I want these Combined states to be available under the "Viewables" Tab in Creo View (Lite).I am using the RCP editor to configure the output of pvs/pvz files.And in Creo I set the config option "intf_out_pvs_recipe_file" to the rcp file.My problem:When I export a PVS/PVZ file from Creo 2 (M180) the combined states are available in CreoView 3 (M031) as "Viewables", BUT annotations are shown in "Master View" only. The Combined States/Viewables doesn't show any annotations.When I use  Creo 3 Parametric (M060) and the same rcp file for export to PVZ/PVS) then the notes/annotations are shown in CreoView 3 (M031). Creo 3 seems to use another option for this type of export.My question:Does anybody

I've got a multi-sheet drawing, and one of the sheets, if I select it, will invariably cause a fatal error and subsequent dump out of Creo (I'm running Creo 2.0, M160, by the way). I notice that the little pop-up preview that happens when I hover over the sheet tabs doesn't look like the sheet in question at all, probably a clue.Anyway, as a last-ditch attempt before I totally delete the drawing and start again, does anyone know if there is a way to delete a sheet without first selecting it? Does someone have an ACL script that can replace all text in a document with "xxxxxxxx" or make them otherwise unreadable so we can sanitize our production documents before sending them to PTC Support?

Folks,This question applies to both drawing and manufacturing, so I thought I'd post it here.I have a machine tool with a large table that's split into two zones, A & B. Programs are written per zone. I have a manufacturing assembly that has two operations, A & B as can be seen in the attached picture. Folks,I'm trying to define a symbol with variable, MOVABLE text, without leaders. I created a note like so: \LOC\ and am able to change the value without a problem. However, the text is fixed in one place when I place the symbol. The text indicates the position of a detail in a grid like A-12, Q49, T99, etc. but it's position needs to be tweaked for maximum clarity.My current symbol is only a circle with filled hatching. I have to create a text-only separate note that has no associativity; moving one will not move the other.Any ideas? I'm using Creo 2, M100.Thanks,Ray Aviles

I'm working with the GoogleMap widget, and have found that when my data has locations specified around the world, the Map is zoomed out almost fully, and is centered on the pacific ocean, which is not particularly interesting.I'd like to be able to center the currently selected location on the map.  Specifying a Selected Location of 0,0 does not center the map at 0,0; it just puts the selected location marker at 0,0.The Boundary bindings are strictly source bindings and will not work as a target, so I can't specify four corners manually / programmatically.Does anyone know a way that I can adjust the centering of the map and possibly the Zoom level at the same time?

Is there any way of making this relation work?SMT_DFLT_BEND_RADIUS = SMT_THICKNESS * 1.5If not, does anyone know why?Why would a SMT_THICKNESS * 1.5 relation not be functional when SMT_THICKNESS,  SMT_THICKNESS * 2, and SMT_THICKNESS * .5 all work?Again, if not, PTC needs to fix this so that these relations can work.Thanks!

Creo 2, M160 (I also tried Creo 3, M070 with the same results)I have a sketch consisting of a single arc and I want to control the length of the arc, not the radius.  I've constrained the ends and I've tried adding a perimeter dim or adding a chord dim by selecting the arc, one end, the other and then middle button.  Creo won't let me add the dim, it thinks the dims are too small.  I get an error "Please increase the number of digits" or something about sketcher accuracy.  I can get it to add the perimeter dim, and I tell it to vary a linear dim that is 0.002", however it flattens out the arc to it's maximum length and turns my 0.002" dim to 1148.477".  The sketch is then locked up and unchangeable.There used to be a setting for sketcher accuracy, but I cannot find it.  Does that still exist?  If not, how do I get Creo to accept this perimeter dim?I cannot share the model due to client confidentiality.

Hello,I am using PTC Integrity client Build: 10.6.0.7337I have a project say X containing 4 file members.I am interested to see the revision history  for these 4  file members.In CLI it works just finesi rlog  --hostname=someHost --port=somePort --user=someUser --project=SomeProject/project.pj  --norecurse --format="{membername}, [{revision}],{author}\n"I see the revision history for all 4 file members.However using the  Java API I receive information only about 3 of the file members.Similarly if I check a project with 3 file members, the Java API returns information about 2 file membersSimilarly if I check a project with 1 file member, the Java API returns no information !Therefore I assume there is a bug  in the  mksapi.jar and always information about one file member is skipped           IntegrationPointFactory factory = IntegrationPointFactory.getInstance();      &nbsp

Hi Thingworx,    Is it true that to try Thingworx, I would need to represent an university, so that I can join the PTC Academic Program. If already joined I will be granted access to a hosted instance of Thingworx along with all the necessary tools.    But, how about for individuals, electronic hobbyist, is there a way to try ThingWorx for learning? Other SaaS cloud service providers, allows users to have a free account, in which they can try to evaluate their services. These free accounts have limitations. One such is Exosite. I have made a project that sends temperature data to Exosite, and display it graphically at Exosite Dashboard Widgets. I bought a textbook that came with an unused CD of Mathcad 15 M010; never used MathCad but it seemed interesting. Tried installing it on my Windows 10 laptop; it told me I was running Windows XP. Followed directions found here to fix that; it apparently installed correctly and took the product code,, so I assume I have a license. However when I try to launch the program nothing happens. Things I've tried so far:1) run as an administrator2) run in Windows 7 compatibility mode3) uninstall and reinstallThe only thing that has any effect at all is running in administrator mode, which gives me a splash screen that says "Do you want this software from an unknown publisher to make changes on your computer?" but nothing further happens after that. This isn't a desperate situation; I'm not trying to use the software for work or school, but I wouldn't mid it if it would work.

I am using envelopes on a large PCB assembly.  I am trying to cut down on the loading times of these large PCB assemblies that are within other large assemblies.   I created a simplified rep for the newly created envelope.  That all works great with erase not displayed and removes all the components.  Every time I exit and come back into my PCB assembly, my assembly goes back to Master Rep it loads all the individual components again.   How do I keep the newly created simplified rep as my default and not go to Master rep that loads all the components?   Thank you. I'm working with Creo 2 M130 and find that I am unable to group copy geom features in a skeleton.  I can't think of a good reason for this.  Does anybody know of one?Thanks!

Honestly, the way PTC has completely dropped the ball when it comes to getting Pro/E into colleges is the main reason.  One of the reasons the SW users hers (who never actually really put forth any effort to LEARN Pro/E) are pushing for it is the lack of Engineers who can use Pro/E fresh from school.  I'd rather them hire experienced Engineers, but maybe that's just me....So, I think it will look good on MY resume, so I'm going to put effort into learning it.  I will give it a fair evaluation after I've learned enough about it's capabilities, though I will say it will probably be very much like friends who are very experienced users in both and in general are saying.  We'll see.  There are some things I like about SW from what I saw already.  I'm curious about the GUI's all the i-phone kiddies seem to love......And, from seeing their work, I'm sure I'll be more fluent in SW than they ever became in Pro/E.....and I'm also sure I'll even be better in SW than
