Hi i'm just wondering if there's a way to set default parameter conditions for my manufacturing processes.Eg, setting Coolant to 'Mist' by default, setting Circular Interpolation to 'Points Only' by default.These are just a couple of the settings I would like to customize so I don't have to keep changing them in every single process I create. Hi,   I am working with a static assembly with several parts, and I would like to have several representations showing different states of the assembly (such as Option A, Option B, etc. for packaging).   Right now, I am able to toggle between Constraint Sets that I've created for a part, and then take Snapshots of each different part position.   Seperately, I'm also able to create Simplified Reps where I can toggle whether or not a part is excluded from the assembly (such as if I wanted to show three different options for an air compressor in 3 different configurations)   However, I am a bit puzzled on how to combine the two. I would like to have one place where I can go and select a configuration, and the correct parts will be hidden/shown AND moved around. Any user, even Administrators, with Create access to a WTDocument sub-type is unable to see the sub-type in the Document Creation Wizard drop-down list. (Windchill PDMLink 10.0 M040)

I am trying to sweep a rectangular cut around a 3D profile, and I cannot figure out how to make Creo maintain the definition of vertical. The path is created by intersecting a swept helical surface and an extruded surface.     In the image above, I would like the rectangular profile to stay flat as it goes around the trajectory, but instead it is tilting downward. I would assume that the "Horizontal/Vertical control" drop-down in the references tab would let me correct this, but I'm only able to choose "Automatic".   I certainly appreciate any help. I've got 10 year of SolidWorks experience, but only a few days of Creo experience. I'm finding the online tutorials and help inadequate for learning how to create this feature. Why is the Process Name added to the task name? This causes unnecessary clutter. It seems like this should be a preference to turn on or off, but when I opened a PTC case about it, they gave me a custom java file to put into /codebase/... and compile it as a work-around. The case has currently been passed up the chain a little bit, and also sent to the Customization team of PTC Support.Is it seriously a customization to remove this back out? If this was introduced, it should've been introduced with the option to turn it off. I don't understand why some people might want to see it.

I have scoured the creo help for information regarding material ID, and yet I'm still missing something..   for example if I would like to drive geometry of any given part from an assigned material parameter....   WIDTH=FLANGE_WIDTH:MTRL_99   The "99" I understand to be the material ID.   When used in an IF statement..     IF PTC_MATERIAL_NAME=="C15X50" WIDTH=FLANGE_WIDTH:MTRL_99 ENDIF   now after assigning it a different material, then reverting back to the original material, "C15X50".     I get this......   IF PTC_MATERIAL_NAME=="C15X50" DEPTH=C_DEPTH:MTRL_99 error Invalid symbol 'C_DEPTH:MTRL_99' found. Hello there,I'm fairly new to these boards (first time poster, long time reader) and I cannot seem to find an answer to my problem.I have been asked to export a list (in Excel or CSV format) of ALL parts, drawings, assemblies, etc. that exist in our system (along with their respective revision number). Is this even possible? If not, is there a work-around to get this information?I'm thinking that it may be something that I can do in Report Manager, but unfortunately I cannot access this function (might be due to a Java incompatiblity?). If I do need to use Report Manager, can somebody please recommend the Java version that I should be using in order for Report Manager to work?We are currently using Windchill PDMLink, Release 9.0, Datecode M050. If you need any other information, please let me know.(Just an FYI, I saw on PTC that Datecode M050 was part of Release 9.1, not 9.0. However, my system is telling me it's 9.0. We are seriously looking in to 3D Annotations(Model based Definitions) on the 3D cad models, specially parts. Having gone a fair way in setting up the templates with what ever available in Pro/E Wildfire 5.0 (M200), realised that DXF profile generation on Sheetmetal Developed views are not possible in the part mode. That functionality is only available in the drawing. After contacting PTC support and getting a "NO" answer, ended up doing a mapkey to automatically create a temporary drawing, generate the DXF profile and erase the drawing from session. Hi all,I have a problem about Creo 3. Feature operations was really vital for me in Creo 2.0 but, in Creo 3 there is Flexible Modeling for it -i think-. I cant use it effectively. It works on surfaces not the solid. I mean when i want to transform something, i cant choose it from part tree. Dear All, In Windchill Projectlink 10.1 F000 when I am converting a Classic Project Plan to EPP then I am unable to Create new Activities. When I create new Activity the Page is comes blank and there is only one Checkbox with mark activity as milestone. Nothing gonna happen with this. The major problem is by default in this version of Windchill ProjectLink F000 we can start to make directly an EPP. First when we create a plan, it's a Classic. Kindly help.Will be highly appreciated.Thanks

Hi all,I completed an introductory course on mathcad a few years back, but these sort of logical problems scrambles my brain, so if anyone could help me out I would be much abliged!I have a problem whereby I have 25 different powder based flavourings of foods, each flavour is made up of a selection between 7-15 ingredients from a range of 51 different ingredients. Set flavourings are directed to three different extruders, 8 of these flavourings are directed to extruder A, 15 to extruder B, and 2 to C.I’m looking to find the number of any combination of ingredients for any setup of all three extruders.I have attempted it in Excel using Pivottable and select the three flavouring individually, which is fine if I need to know a specific setup, but it would take some considerable time to manually choose each combination of flavouring if I wanted to find the combination with the most ingredients. I presume it is possible to display the results in a matrix format where the function was applie

I have imported an Excel file into Mathcad. I want to be able to change values in Excel and then those same values automatically update within Mathcad. I know you can do this with scripting, but I am not very good at writing code. I have attached the files to the discussion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We recently moved our production Integrity Oracle 11.2 database from one Linux 6 server to another. The version of Oracle and Linux is the same. I'm able to work without errors. However, 2 key developers are receiving the following errors. First "C:\Program Files(x86)\MKS\IntegrityClient\bin\integrityg.exe: Failed to connect to MKS Integrity Client. Ensure that another MKS Integrity Client is not running under the context of your configuration file (by default IntegrityClient.rc) and that the IntegrityClient.port specification is valid". Second "MKS131372: An unhandled database exception has occured. Please contact your administrator. This is not an MKS error, the MKS Integrity Server is up and running, either the database or network is down or misconfigured. The error supplied by the database is: No more data to read from socket." I've checked their client configurations and they haven't changed, they are the same as mine. They have no other MKS Client running. This is a work stoppage
