On, 24th August 2014, after installing Creo 2.0 student edition when I started the "Creo Parametric 2" it gives a error message like below   "Fatal error encountered. A traceback has been written to C:\Users\Public\Documents\traceback.log Please send it to Technical Support"   Please help me to solve this so that I can use Creo 2 smoothly.    

Hello folks,I do still have an unexpected result from the reverse function although it works as expected in some instances; see attached sheet.When creating an array and reversing the order of the second column then one sees in the graph the reversed function. I.e. last values being depicted first.However, when I do the same on some measurement data, all I get is the weird looking curve in the left graph.Does anybody have an explanation? Hello,I'm wondering if it is possible to set up a function to calculate the density from the Beattie Bridgeman Equation. The equation is pressure as a function of the specific volume and temperature. P(T,v). However, the answer I want is the density. I can solve it using a solve block, but would like to be able to express the solution as funtion. I.e; rho(T,P) = answer, where I just need to input the Temperature and Pressure. But as seen, the pressure is a function of the density.I have attached the MathCad 15 sheet that has the function, but I'm unsure if I will need to use the mathcad programming to get an answer back in the way I would like. I don't know if there is a way to set up the solve block or solution such that I can have the expression be as above.

Hello all,A simple question. I tried to redefine a subroutine I made in order to mill two parts. I wanted to mill 4 parts at a time. So I went on the subroutine icon in the tree and clicked redefined. But it only allows to redefine references. So I deleted this subroutine to make a new one with 4 parts. Is there a way to redefine instead of deleting and makine a new one ? Thanks. Hi Everyone,I'm having problems with some of our stations (mostly laptops with onboard intel graphics) which are working with Creo View 2.0. The program is able to open and view models and drawings but when the user selects print the image prints as a solid black page. This is repeatable accross all printers and even print to PDF converters. Hi guys,I need a little help. I have run a simple simulation of a bolt under different loads. The UTS of the steel of the bolt is 530 MPa and each bolt is loaded with 265 MN. My results show three windows, one which is Stress Von mises, the second displacement and the third stress max prin.Am I correct in thinking that the first is showing the areas of stress? Im confused since this appears to be up to 182 GPa.The second is showing how far the bolt would be deformed and stretched and the third how the stress is mapped,how does this differ from the first one. Hello ppl,I am having issues with propogating 3d dimension into drawing mode in creo 2.0.As you can see I have a nice 3d dimension in modelspace(top) but when I try to show it in drawing mode(bottom) it appears linear and doesn't look much like a diameter dimension.I have enabled all config options but still not working. Hello,i have two questions:1. why is the area in the attached mathcad sheet is grayed out?2. i am trying to move the image on page 1 down because it is covering part of the calculation, but i cant seem to have any control to move that region.3. this is a general question, when i print mathcad sheets , some times half of a table shows uo one page and the other half on the next page. i try to shift the table so it is below or above the dotted line for a new page , but some how mathcad shifts it again. is there a better way to have a better control over printing ?Thanks!

Hi, I am wondering if the angular momentum is correctly calculated in the mechanism module.  I am wondering this because when I spin a disk through it center axis (this part is the only moving part see figure below) the angular momentum reported for the system is different when changing the location of the spinning disk in the global coordinate system. When checking the results analytically the calculations are correct when the disk center coincides with the global y-axis. The angular momentum about the origin (H_o) should be calculated as the angular momentum about the center of gravity (H_g) plus the center of gravity position vector (r_g) cross the velocity of the center of gravity (V_g) times the mass (m):  H_o=H_g + (r_g x V_g)m   Since the velocity of the center of gravity (V_g) is zero, the second term vanishes. Hence the angular momentum reported should be constant no matter the center of the spinning disk.  Anyone getting the s

Hi folks,A colleague ran across this the other day and I'm really surprised that I have not see this before.1. Create an explode-state.2. Show it in a drawing.3. Create a note with leader attached to an entity in that view3. Add a component that increases the size of the view boundary4. The note created in #3 movesI understand the background of why it moves as the view boundary increases, but I find it completely unacceptable. I'm far from being a software programmer, but it seems easy enough to lock in the leader geometry and the attachment point on the entity. This would keep my note in the same place no matter what the view boundary does.I submitted it to PTC-support, but their workaround seems only concerned with the origin location of the actual view and not notes associated with it.Does anybody have a workaround for this?Note: this is in Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 M170, but I believe it's still in all WF and Creo releases.-JoshThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Ma

I need to pull the date on which a WTPart was in inwork state or a CN was in published state. I did my analysis and found that there should be a Maturity history table in database, but i ended up with a table called MaturityBaseline table which does not hold this information. I need guidance on which table this information is stored. Even in API com.ptc.windchill.enterprise.history.HistoryTablesCommands.maturityHistory(wtObject); so it is expect there should be a Maturity history table in database.

I wanted to try the model tree independently but I want to change it back. I run on a mac pro using parallel software to run windows. My graphics card is ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512 MB and from what I have read, there is an issue with my graphics card. When I start up Creo 2, and select a work directory, and open a part, a black screen appears and I am unable to do anything.   What can I do to resolve this issue? I have read a few things about changing the configuration settings, but in my copy, I am unable to touch that folder because It says I dont have admin rights.   Anyone have any ideas? Saw this fancy video on the youtubes.....It's one of the main reasons I'm considering switching all of our design from SW to Creo 2 since we still use a spaceframe chassis.The problem I'm having is when I go to insert profiles, I get an error saying that the profiles that included with the software were created with a commercial version of the software. So it makes sense that the profiles won't load since EFX uses profile information stored in a part file. I have no problem with that...I can make my own profiles and have done so many many times in SW- I just don't know how to create my own profile in EFX since the custom profile folder is off-limits to me, and there don't seem to be any tutorials on the subject after searching for some time now.Thanks for any help!Trent

Hello All, Don't laugh.I have the Student Edition of WF5 and had to install a new network card. Now WF does not run. I get a pop-up window that displays the license server is UP.The subsequent line is: Warning: (-3) No license server system for this featureThere is a license server manager / vendor daemon running but its for other vendors.I re-installed WF 5 using the product code and my ID but had the same net result.Any help would be appreciated to get this install up and runng.Best regards,Ricardo

We have just upgraded from WF4.0 to Cre2.0 m090.Due to this many mapkeys are not working and hence I was wondering is there is way to find out the path followed by existing mapkeys in WF4.0If there is a way to find out the steps then we can manually re-create them in Creo2.0I am asking this because there can be certain steps that could be missed if we try without knowing the steps and only the end result occuring in WF4.0Thank you.
