Hi PTC Community !This is my first (and long... sorry) post. I write because I have been spending the last two years to solve a problem that is easy do describe :How do I get a good display of the hidden lines on PDF files with the SaveAs PDF command ???I still could not get the answer ...First of all there are two ways to get a PDF file from a detailed drawing :1) File --> Print. Select "MS Printer Manager", then OK and select your "PDF printer" in the "Name" field. Here is what I obtain with my "Adobe PDF" program :As you can see, the dashed hidden lines are well displayed and are BEHIND the black solid lines that describe the shape of the object.If you modify the plot_linestyle_scale parameter, the size of the hidden line changes. Here is what happens when I change the value from 3 (previous picture) to 1 (next picture).Now the hidden lines appear with smaller elements.With this method, all is ok .2) Click on the SaveAs PDF button in the toolbar :Here is what I obtain :As you can

I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I am 65 and having difficulty with where to start in mathcad. I am taking an online course in Calculus and they brought up the concept of rieman sums between two functions. I bought prime 3 student edition but I am lost. I am interested in a worksheet that will allow a person to enter two functions, the bounderies, and the amount of subdivisions. and get an output as close to the integrals as one would like. Also if anyone can direct me to a place that I can learn how to use mathcad to make my own worksheets that would be appreciated. I am working on a mathcad worksheet where I read data from external excel file. Every time I open the mathcad worksheet, it reads file and does calculations. My question is - is there a way to remember a previous value of a certain variable with its new value and calculate the difference betwwn two?

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to create a mapped mesh on the geometry highlighted in yellow. I used to have just a cylinder with no fillets. I used brick elements on the oter tube and wedge elements on the inner cylinder. This ran nicely. This is a hyper-elastic/contact analysis. Now I added fillets and I have no idea how to create wedge elements in the radius portion. I was thinking wedge elements in the radius portion and brick in the rest. Ok gang I could have sworn I had these two (2) macros working before, but I am having no joy now.The macros intention is to determine the size of a graphic and then display that information. This is used so I can get "CGM" graphic sizes to pass on to our "SGML" programmers.Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I would also like to use this as a starting point to develop a macro to scale a graphic up or down to fit to a particular page size.I am using IsoDraw 7.3 F000Keith

Hi all,New here. Just getting up to speed using Windchill, so i'm sure my problem is user error...Anyway, trying to install Desktop Integration. Downloaded the install file, double clicked on it, and almost immediately get the following error message:"The processor is not adequate for running Windchill Desktop Integration 10.1 M040."I've re-downloaded it a couple times and always get the same error.My workstation is running 64-bit Windows 7 Pro with an Intel Core i7-4800MQ CPU @ 2.70GHz processor and 32.0 GB RAM. I'm not an expert, but this machine shouldn't be limited by the processor, right?Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?Thanks,David

Apparently I don't understand local variables very well. In the code below, I'm trying to iterate the minimization function using solutions from the previous iteration. After the initial iteration, the values are not updated. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Hi,I have tried to solve a basic buck converter equations "in time domain", using functions (I am quite used to do it in a "discrete" way with fixed step solving). Unfortunately, the odesolve gives some very strange results. Thee current is suposed to go up and down in regular sawtooths going up or down according to the PWM function, but it looks like sometimes the solver skips some transitions, causing the current to jump in stupid ways.I hoped using the odesolve would give me more resolution in the solution (possibly more than I can plot), but this doesn't help me in trusting the solver. Is there a way to render the hidden lines "hidden" during the orientation?I explain better...During the orientation (roller of the mause), if my view style is "no hidden", you see equally the hidden lines, and they return to not be seen when you've stopped the orientation.I don't want to see hidden lines during orientation.Is there an option or something like this?ByeThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I have done a model with ProE default template. Now I want to change the template to another. Is there a quick-fix? Does anyone know how to change the tag display size in Arbortext Editor? A teammate has somehow made her tag display size very large and is not sure how to set it back to normal size?Thanks for your help!

Please,I need export results of functions to a vector or Excel table. I can not work with vectors instead range variables because I have a lot of functions depending of these range variables. After made calculations, I have a function results (with a lot of singularities) and I need find max and min values from these results. I need convert these results to a vector, so, I can use max and min functions to find the maximum and minimum values or export these values to Excel.Someone have any solutions to this case? Hello, everyone!I've noticed that there is a friendly and helpful community here, so maybe you can help me out with my issue. I'm solving a differential equation with odesolve command, and everything works no problem.Now I'm trying to add a periodic square wave function with variable duty cycle into the equation, and everything gets more complicated. I've used two similar methods to define the periodic function and they both work almost the same.The trouble is - with bigger values of duty cycle it works flawlessly, but as soon as I try to lower it, it seems that odesolve misses some values and the solution looks obviously wrong. My first guess is that it is a numerical problem, as the equation also contains some relatively small and big numbers, changing some of which also helps a bit, but that's unfortunately not an option. Maybe there is an option to use some other method besides odesolve, or any other trick to fix this behaviour?All other comments and graphs are in the attached file

Platform: Creo 2.0 M030Problem: Mechanism constraints broken on a simple assembly with two synchronized hydraulic cylinders that extend/retract and pivot around a common axis.Additionally, there is a guide-plate that controls the arc of the devices on the ends of the cylinders. That guide plate also has the ability to move back and forth in a slot. Im designing a frame using square tubes. Cut-outs that are not perpendicular to the metal wall are automatically adjusted in sheetmetal modus I would like to avoid unwanted edges sticking out, for this Creo has the "remove material normal to both driving and offset surfaces" function, but I cant get it to work!It only works when the edges are ripped and not bend. See images. Hi,I am doing a simple pressure analysis on a pipe that is threaded on both ends. In the drawing, the thread is not modelled, it is only shown as a block. For my analysis, I am not considering the thread as a failure point, only as a constraint.I am fully constraining the part on the surface of the "block" of threads with a surface region that has no displacement in any direction. I am getting a stress concentration on the edge of the surface region.I have two questions:1. Is it possible to exclude the edge of the surface region in the results so I can ignore the constraint? It holds the part fine, but I don't want to show this area as a failure. Currently I am ignoring any high stress in this area, but I would rather not have it show up2. Is there a better way to simulate threads in a simple fashion so that stress concentrations do not appear? I do not want to model the threads to apply this constraint, but I believe the issue is that I am limiting axial movment on a surface. Because

To allI created an e-book following explanation in manual and it works fine. I am looking for a way of having the folder where I store all the mcad files of interest not in the MathCAD installtion directory (...\MathCAD/MathcAD 14/Handbook/ ) but in a totally different folder.
