Quite some time ago, I did some work with symbolics that led mt to try to create Christoffel symbols in Mathcad. (I can do it in Mathematica, though I am not very good with it, and I can do it in MATLAB, using MATLAB symbolics, but it is not very clean, and certainly not very readable.) I gave it several shots in M15, and have attached the results.The pieces seem to work, but not the aggregate...should I just do it in Mathematica instead of beating myself up here? Part of the problem here seems to be that symbolics are not handled as well as in Mathematica and MATLAB, at least as far as initial declarations go. I tried simply not declaring t,r,theta,phi, and living with the undeclared complaint, but no joy there either.~R~

ok here's my issue:I have a lot of tapered bosses on a plate. and I need to extrude from there top surface strait up rather than continuing with the taper. "think a block of chocolate"so I could go back and remake the part so that it has the shape I want. in this case that wont workbut instead I go into sketch and project the boarders of the bosses to give me the projection lines. project -> loop -> click a face -> (that's 1 done)click a face -> click next -> ( that's 2 )click a face -> click next ->click next -> (3)click a face -> click next ->click next ->click next -> ( 4)see where I'm going with this.its a really slow way of doing it, surely there must be a way to go project and then go , this face , this face , this face , this face , this face , this face, doneprojected lines selectedextrudeor a project everything on this surface buttonif I can do it in other cad packages i.e. solid works or inventor and its pretty standard then why isn't it in

Hello all,I have some parts that are being taken out of ilink. I need to delete the parameters that were created by intralink. Can I do that somehow?I seem to remember discovering a way using some creative save-as / baack-up routine that allowed deletion of those parameters. Does that rin a bell for anyone? I am printing out a model (parts on a fixture) and I have annoations that show up. This only happens on a few prints. Any thoughts on what may be causing this and what I need to change to prevent it.See below:Thanks, Dale

After done Annotation > Show Model Annotation in drawing, I did Annotate > Show Annotations in model, all of dimensions shown up in model are disappeared from drawing. Hello everybody,In our company we are new to using Creo parametric. Comming from Inventor it is a pretty big adjustement.A simple thing which I don't seem to figure out is how to convert a project line to a construction line. A normal line I can convert with holding right mouse button and selecting it. But for a projected line it isn't there.ThanksBerry

What? Another 2 - 3 days to debug an issue! This is crazy!   I am attempting to conduct a simple simulation on a part to determing how much deflection the part has under load. So far it can't be done.   Aluminum Material has been assigned.Displacement Geometric surfaces has been set. Force on the geometrical references has been set.A New Static Analysis Deffinition has been set.Attempt to run the analysis and I get 3 annoying errors in the diagnostics: The following materials have invalid Young's Modulus: ALUMINIUMCannot perform this operation for this caseCannot start the design study If I select ignore, I get ignored... Blank screen, no available options except to exit the results. PLEASE DON'T TELL ME IT'S A GRAPHICS CARD THAT NEEDS A DRIVER UPDATE!! It's the software...   Hi everybody, I had a user contact me this morning with this message: The selected file appears to be corrupted. You may continue to open this file and Pro/ENGINEER will attempt to retrieve it. Please abort and save all work before continuing.   I've never seen this in almost 20 years of using Pro/E. We are using WF4.   Any ideas? I opened the assembly and had no issues. Moderators feel free to move this to a different zone if this isnt the correct place for the question.Typically I export all of my drawings as PDFs for sending to customers/machining. I do however have situations that require me to export a DWG or DXF file for direct input into a cnc or similiar situation. My issue is that every time I try this, the files are not correct. Either they are missing views, data, dimensions etc.Does anyone have some general thoughts on this process and what is the best method for doing this? I am using CREO 1.0. I don't know if this has been asked before, but I'm trying to get hold of the latest version of implementer update program to apply ptfs/our upgrade to 10.3.Search for "Implementer Update" really isn't going to ever win any prizes, so I just thought I'd try and put the question out there.I've install 10.3, but now I'm trying to get the installer for others to be able to use. The manual says that its on the IFS /mks/implementer/ptcim, but the version I've got there is the older 1.0.4 which won't allow anyone to install the 10.3 ptf.I've tried to go through the PTC product download pages, but .. i won't use the word tosh.. they've been unhelpful if anyone can give me an easy way to get hold of the implementer update 1.0.5+ then i'd be grateful.cheers

Hi folks,   I have tedious assignment of removing pro/program INPUT parameters (all lines betwee INPUT and ENDINPUT commands in pro/program). In order to make this process easier I created simple vbs script which removes this redundant lines automatically. Then I've changed pro_editor_command option to "cscript c:\script.vbs" so when I choose Pro/Program -> Edit Design it returns cleaned pro/program. Next I recorded mapkey:   mapkey pp ~ Activate `main_dlg_cur`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdMmProgram`;\mapkey(continued) #EDIT DESIGN;Yes;#DONE/RETURN;\mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdModelSave` ;~ Activate `file_saveas` `OK`;   so far so good. But when I run this mapkey from Creo Distributed Batch it just isn't working (CDB stays on "working" mode - I waited 2 hours and still the same). What am I doing wrong? Hi there,   is there a way to create a coordinate system with weblink? I tried it with an UDF, but for some reason I have to select its reference everytime. HiThe MathCad worksheet and ODE that Werner helped me solve is attached to my previous post see http://communities.ptc.com/message/236394#236394 so if you need test your answer download the file attached in that link.What I am now trying to do solve, by way of this new post, is to find the depth of water in the tank for a particular / prescribed outflow. To do this I made the ODE variable function and then tried to pass back the particular value to the ODE solver in order to find the depth of water for a particular user prescribed outflow (POF). I have done this previously with an ODE and to my surprise it worked. This time however it seems to want to work but then results in the see jpeg error attached. The ODE is more complicated than my previous one because the function is nested but it would be interesting to see if it can be done by the brains trust.Kind regards, Mark
