While attempting to install a student version of Creo/ProEngineer Wildfire 5.0 from online I encountered a problem with the license configuration. I have an valid user account and internet access. I entered my PTC username and password on the License Configuration page of the setup.exe. The instructions then indicate for me to select the "Generate License Files" radio button, however, the username/password fields as well as the selection button is grayed out and doesn't allow me to proceed.Any help would be greatly appreciated.William Duncan

Hello,I have been using Creo Parametric 2.0 Student Edition for a while and it has worked fine until now. Yesterday, after checking a piece I rendered a couple of weeks ago something really weird happened. Whilst the sketch looks perfectly fine once the piece is rendered the view is completely messed up.The sketch is the following. The sketch is revolved along an axis in the middle of the right and front plane:This shape worked fine every time since I first modelled it. However since yesterday it fails to generate a proper shape and it appears like this instead of how it should appear.The rest of the shapes I've modelled work perfectly fine and this error only happens with this particular piece. When I edit definition everything appears normal but then the error happens once again. I have tried regenerating but it just doesn't work. Do I have to remodel the piece or is this error fixable?Thanks in advance for your help

I'm trying to add additional filtering for a picker I'm developing. We have a custom object type that is an extension of Managed, called MyManaged, with additional softtypes. I have developed a picker to select one or more of these custom objects in order to relate them to a WTChangeRequest2 object. In my picker jsp, I have used baseWhereClause to filter the objects by state, but I need to filter them even more. I need to filter out those MyManaged objects that are already related to a WTChangeRequest2 object. To do this I've created a PickerAccessController class and a PickerFilterResultsProcessor class, following the pattern used by the PartMasterPickerAccessController and the PartMasterPickerFilterResultsProcessor classes. The processing seems to be working through my classes just fine, but then throwing a NumberFormatException some time later. A quick search of the web tells me that this question has been asked many times before but none of the solutions I have found work for me and assume that the part and drawing are named the same.I am running Pro-E Wildfire 5 and have a drawing abc.drw that calls part def.prt. I want to rename my drawing and part so that ghi.drw calls part ghi.prt.I have tried opening both together then selecting File > Rename for the part with "Rename on disk and in session" set. Although ghi.prt is selected this does not create a ghi.prt file. Instead it keeps the def.prt file and updates the drawing model tree to call ghi<def>.prt.If I do something similar for the drw file. i.e File > Rename > Rename on disk and in session then I do get a ghi.drw file but it still calls the def<ghi>.prt.How do I rename my PRT file?I am a pro-E novice, so would appreciate anyone who can help spell out the steps.ThanksThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. We have just upgraded from Creo/Elements Pro to Creo 1 Parametric. When trying to set the default working directory, Creo seems to always try to open files from my documents by default. I have the startup location set for the correct folder, but when you launch Creo and hit open, it brings the explorer window to my documents. I've installed Creo 2.0 academic version and it will not run.If I remove the quality agaent then it closes reporting error code 09 and if I install the quality agent it fails to run at all and windows closes the program.Any help on this would be much appreciated.Thanks,Jake.

Hi,I'm a newbie in Integrity (just two days since I installed Integrity client) and I need to transfer some data from Integrity 10 to a SQL Server database. I tried using CLI "im exportissues " into an Excel file, but my preferable way is to be able to use SSIS (SQL Server Integration Service) to connect directly to our Integrity database which is a SQL Server database and extract required data by running a SQL query and finally transfer them into our data warehouse to do some complicated reporting involving other data from various sources.So I'm wondering is there any way to define an Integrity query having high level field names and as output get the proper SQL query containing low level real physical database names, and use this query as my data source in SSIS package?This is a very high priority task and I need to do it very soon. I have been trying to solve (symbolically) a system of equations which, it seems, I can only do using a solve block. The problem is that I want to create a function from the solution so I can re-use it and evaluate numerically. The solve block solution seems only to allow a symbolic evaluation of the result. I could of course cut and paste the symbolic solution into a function but this seems untidy. If I solve a simple system of equations using the solve keyword then I can evaluate both symbolically and numerically, however, the solve keyword method won't solve my real problem. Hello everyone! This is my first year in FRC and I've been chosen to lead my school's CAD team. I have very little 3D modeling experience and have never worked on something like this. So far I've learned very basic functions of Creo 2.0 such as Revolve, Patterns and Swept Blend. All my studying has been done through the internet.What I've been wondering is if anyone would be willing to share some tips, guides or parts to practice on. Currently I have a few people working with me who I need to hand out tasks to, but I'm finding it difficult to find them part pictures that they could work on. Help would be appreciated.

Hello, My company just switched from ProE wildfire 4 and we use draft entities alot for background gemotery. One of the biggest annoying things about Creo is having to hit and hold ALT to select enties when we want to delete them. In Wildfire 4, Pro-E would see that it was a entity and you could click on it without having to hold the ALT key down. Hi All,I'm looking at taking two documents that are linked together in Integrity and displaying them together as if they had a relationshipp in a relational database. The only way I've found of doing this is by exporting the data for both documents, running code to create a new line for each value in the 'linked' field and then joining the tables using SQL. (I don't have access to the database for running SQL queries directly so I have to parse the data)I'm a new user and would like to know if there's any way to do this within the Integrity tool itself? This year First has allowed a number of different "new" parts. I've been slowly working on designing some of them for our schools 6 teams to work with, but the corkscrew inside the WormDriveGearbox is baffleing me. Has anyone designed this yet? Are there any tutorials on this? Any recommendations?
