I am trying to create a post for a machine that requires all H#'s to be H1 and all D#'s to be D02. The way I do this now is to put the 1 for the H# in the Tool Offset in the Tools Setup. And for the D02 I put it in the Cutcom Register for each sequence. This becomes a problem when I want to change the job to another machine. I have to go through each tool and each sequence which is very time consuming.I can get the D#'s to work by unchecking the box in Gpost where it says "Output the tool number as the diameter offset when not specified." This outputs all of the D#'s as D0 and then I use a fil command to change it to D02.$$ Replace D0 with D02T4 = TEXT/'D0'T5 = TEXT/'D02'REPLAC/T4,T5There is a similar check box in the Tool Change Sequence tab in Gpost but instead of outputting the H0 it does not output the G43H# line at all. Is there a way I can get the G43H# line to output with this unchecked? Or is there a way to write a REPLAC command where I can replace a range of numbers (H1 thru

Hi I am very new to MatchCAD (and to PTC so I am sorry if I am in the wrong part). I keep getting variable is undefined at the bottom of my find block. I will attach my file so that someone can look at it. It isn't very complex, I just can't figure out why it won't work.

We have a format directory specified in our config.pro as follows:pro_format_dir X:\DATA Root Items\prostart\formats...but this has subfolders where we keep little used formats. One of our guys had to use one of these formats, then when he went back to the drawing in a subsequent session, the format had of course fallen off.Any way around this, short of keeping all our formats in one place? Hi all,I've been working on a problem and to be perfectly honest I don't know if there is a symbolic solution or how to check whether it can be solved in all cases but in any case I know it can be solved numerically for at least the values given in the attached worksheet. Also I'm not sure how to turn this into a symbolic solution (though I have tried). Specifically I wanted to constrain the problem to work with 2D vectors since I'm not sure if the problem would be solvable with more complex vectors (perhaps it doesn't matter). I'd be interested on your thoughts on this. My linear algebra isn't all that strong.It involves some simple 2D vectors:a = l + cb = r +cand l and r are orthogonal such that l dot r = 0I want to find c and hence l and r given a and b. On the face of it, it seems to be 3 equations with 3 unknowns but I don't know if the third equation "counts" in this regard. Regards,Dave

Hello,i am attaching a mathcad14 sheet. it is not a live sheet becuase i got this shot from a big mathcadsheet. i would like to be able to look up the value that is in column "0" that corresponds to max(I_1,I_2) which are in columns 1 &2, and also do the same thing but seperately for max(I_3,I_4) which are in columns 3 &4. i am expecting the answer for the first one to be 48.707(column 0), and for the second one 48.707(column0). This time it happens to be the same value from column 0, but normaly thaey are different. In case they are more than one value in column 0, that corresponds to single value for max(I_1,I_2), make it to list all values off column 0. similarly for max(I_3,I_4). Thanks for your assistance!!

We had a few parts get modified that shouldn't have been. I would like to delete the latest iteration of these Ex. A.2. Is it as easy as just going to the information page of the latest iteration and selecting delete? What are the potential problems we could see by deleting this iteration?Or if there is something better to do then delete the iteration that would be fine too. We are using Windchill 10.1 M040

Hi all,I'm busy making drawings and the layers of my model are all ok/hidden curves, quilts....But when I make my drawing views the setting to take over the model layer status is not set.So, I take the option to copy the status from the modelBUTIt does not automatically takes the layerstatus of the part/assy I make the views from (active drawing model), it asks me to select the assy/part to copy the status from?And when I select the assy it does nothing So each time I need to set all drawing layers manually again, and save because I cant copy it from the active modelHow annoying This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi Guys,I am using Creo 5. We are using large assemblies in my drawing. The problem is while navigating the drawing sheets it takes about 5 - 10 minutes from one sheet to another sheet. I would to have the word STEP show up before the generated chapter number. In styler, Under elements, I have found the element title in chapter, and under generated text it has add before element content the number 1. If I click on edit it brings me to the add before - title screen all that is in there is a yellow box. how do I add STEP to this, Why can I not modify the yellow box? Am I even in the right place to modify the chapter number?Bryon

I have a program (enclosed) that will define an undefined variable which works fine on version 14 but in version 15 it tells me the variable "rLSL" is undefined and to get it to work, I must define it prior to calling this program which defeats the purpose of the program.

In Creo Elements Direct Modeling you can rotate the 3D model incrementally with the arrow keys on the keyboard. Hi,I have installed PTC Windchill PDMLink 10.1. I need the PTC Translation Manager along with the service Information manager module. However, the installer does not provide any option for installing "optional components" under the Service Information Manager. I have:1. Downloaded the latest module for Translation Manager.2. unzipped the file in the 'Staging" area, inside a folder with the same name as the zip file.3. Run the installer "MED-60702-CD-101_M040".But while trying to install the "optional components" under the Service Information Manager, I do not see the option for the Translation Manager.Can some one give any pointers what I might have missed ?Thanks,Kazi

I am a mentor to FTC team and trying to learn Creo in order to help them use it. Attempting to build a scissor lift with kinematics but having some issues.   I created an AxleSet subassembly using the following parts: TETRIX_739088_2012.PRT - Axle TETRIX_739092_2012.ASM - Axle Collar (2 of them) TETRIX_739091_2012.PRT - Bushing (4 of them)   The parts are set up such that a C Channel (32 mm width) can fit between the bushing and the collars on the outside to lock them in place.   I then created another assembly call ScissorArm that starts with the AxleSet and I then a C channel is added (TETRIX_739068_2012.PRT). The AxleSet is in the first hole of the C channel and C channel fits perfectly between 2 of the four bushings.   I then create a new assemble called the ScissorLift. I start with a single hole C channel (TETRIX_73905_2012.PRT) and then I add the ScissorArm with a Pin connection using the axle of the ScissorArm with the C channel hole and the a bushing coinci

For example: Ive created a cylinder assembly of which all relevant dimensions are driven by a list of parameters. Whenever I create a copy of the cilinder with new dimensions, The max extension of the rod is also parameter driven and should therefore also update when I change this length. Sadly this does not work. Hi all,We used to be able to create simplified reps in toplevel assemblies by using the Substitute By Rep command.If you had a toplevel assembly which contained many sub assemblies and each sub assembly contained multiple simplified reps. When defining a new rep in the toplevel assembly you could use Substitute to bring in the lower level reps into a toplevel assembly rep that you were creating on the fly.Have we lost this functionality as of Creo? Hi,can I swap back and forth to compare Prime with 15 before I decide which path to go down or is that a dream (or nightmare).I can't see a way to go from Prime 3.0 to 15 (though I have converted files the other way).Thanks

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this or if I'm violating any rules or customs-I've never posted anything like this before. Does the free student version talk to Mathcad 15? I downloaded the trial to work ahead on Physics 2 labs but I don't want to work it all out only to find it's not compatible with the version at school.
