Is there a way to configure Windchill and/or Creo View to automatically open the latest annotation by default? Right now users have to manually navigate to the "Annotation Sets" tab in Creo View to get a list of annotations and then double click to view. It would be helpful to have that latest annotation automatically displayed anytime someone opens the representation, regardless of where they launched it from (object properties page, search results thumbnail, etc.)

This was originally posted a while back, and I wanted to just re-post it to see if anyone has found a way to remove this column from the Family Table. I am working in WF4.0, so this is where I am looking for help on this.In WF4.0 we are finding that the designated parameter Common_Name is showing up automatically in Family Tables. Hi everyone,I know there is a way to change the number of columns on a specific element. Problem is, that there (imao) are not enough options to specify the way columns should layout.Now what I am trying to do is to change the number of columns in a 2-columned layout to 3 columns on e.g. element ul, where one of the original 2 columns should split into 2 columns, whereas the other shouldn´t change.So the ratio should be 25%, 25%, 50%.Anyone ever did something like that successfully?Hoping for some helpDaniel Thursfield

I was wondering whether the Creo Advanced Frameworks extension was available to FRC teams. I was recently discussing CAD software with some people who mentioned that, for something like FRC, the Frameworks extension was probably the way to go and one of the major advantages they saw to using Creo as opposed to another program. I haven't seen anything on that before (having really only limeted my use of Creo to the Parametric app and a little bit of simulation), and to be honest I had no idea that there were extensions for stuff like that for Creo. It makes me wonder a bit whether there's been anything else I'm missing that would speed up our process!Anyways, just looking for whether anyone knows if the Frameworks extension is available to FRC teams, and if so, how to access it.

HI eveveryone ive got to machine some tapered grooves/scallops around a tapered handle. The grooves have an axis ,was hoping to just come down vertically with my cutter following the axis which is at 5 degrees. Do I use trajectory milling ? Hi, I'm trying to write a worksheet for some experiments that I carried out. Within the data sets are a number of NaNs, so I've put some code in to find the NonMissingMean, as I have to find the mean of different column vectors. The code is fine for NonMissingMean(D), where D is my data file, but when I try NonMissingMean(D^<2>) i.e. the mean of all data in column 2 that is a number, it says "this array index is not valid for this array". I'm hoping someone here knows why this is, and possible ways of fixing it. Thank you very much for your help in advance.

I'm working with several development projects that want to start using Jenkins and our MKS Source 2009 repositories. Since the use of Jenkins or CI tools in general is still very new here, there is reluctance in allowing our Jenkins server to connect straight to our production repository server until we get some more experience. I've managed to negotiate a compromise where we can connect Jenkins to a "test" MKS Source Server and allow it to pull code from there. However for that to work I need a way for the changes committed to our production repository to get pushed to the test server, ideally every few minutes. Any suggestions on a fast, stable method for sending changes from one server to the other?

Eine Schulung für 1.0 hatte ich zwar, das ist aber schon etwas her und ich hab noch nicht so viel Routine.Daher meine Anfänger-Frage:Ich hab eine Baugruppe aus drei Bauteilen und möchte jetzt ein Gehäuse drum herum bauen, welches natürlich von der Baugruppe abhängig sein soll.Ich stell mir das so vor, dass ich direkt in der Baugruppe eine Skizze anfange, extrudiere und eine Schale draus mach. Wie geht das? Wonach muss ich suchen. Ein Stups in die richtige Richtung reicht mir schon.mfg. Bernhard

When you write a parameter in a text string, &parameter_name, is there a when to let the text know that the parameter is done other than a space? i.e. &parameter_name_COLOR where Parameter_name is the name of the parameter and _COLOR is attached to the end (without a space between them).Thanks, Dale

Hi everyone,I really need your help. I would like to change the primaryBusinessObject within a workflow. The problem is that I want to create multiple objects (documents, CAD-parts ...) within this workflow and I would like to change these objects by using the method robot (e.g. lifecycle state). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pass the created object on to the method robot. The easiest way might be to declare the created object temporarily as primaryBusinessObject and then change the object with the method robot. Does anybody know if that works and how to declare the created object as primaryBusinessObject?Thank you for your help.Willi

HI all,I've been trying to (unsuccessfully) install Windchill 10.1 with a remote SQL server (Standard 2012).SQL server is installed on \\sqlserver and I've managed to succesfully run PSI on that server with no problems. However when I return to PSI on the \\windchill server to continue to install windchill I run into problems at the "Define Settings" section where it asks for details of the following;SQL Server Installation Directory:\\sqlserver\d$\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQK\BinnSQL Server Client Installation Directory:\\sqlserver\c$\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\BinnSQL Server DNS Registered Host Name:\\sqlserver.our.domain.nameHowever PSI returns the error "Invalid SQL Server Client install location specified" and gives me an example path structure, yet I know that sqlcmd.exe IS in the path I provide!!What am I doing wrong?Thanks for listening!!B

Hallo allerseits.   Direkt nach dem Starten von Creo Elements Direct Modelling Express 4 M010 kommt es zu o.g. Fehler. Zusammen mit einer weiteren Fehlermeldung "Fehler bei Aktion create_vp/signal/sigsegv". Dass meist der Grafikkartentreiber daran schuld ist, konnte ich schon in Erfahrung bringen. Die Software läuft auf einem Lenovo L520 Notebook mit Intel HD Graphics unter Windows 7 32bit - also auch nicht unbedingt um ein Noname-Produkt. Ich habe über das Lenovo Systemupdate die aktuellen Grafiktreiber installiert, der Fehler besteht jedoch weiterhin. Can anyone tell me the right way to enter the elastoplasic properties of a material in Creo/WF 5.0? I have the true stress/strain curve entered. With the "Use best fit coefficients checkmarked the curves look good. However the Tensile Yield stress is at 0. If I try to hit ok it doesn't let me. It says I must have a value greater than 0. If I uncheck the box and put in the correct value the curve shifts way up. Any thoughts?

I have several parts that I am working on that I need to create an estimate for. One section of the estimate involves calculating the overall perimeter of the part and any holes to determine how much laser cutting is involved. In the past I have just used the Analysis->Measure->Length tool to pick all of the edges and get an overall length. This is fine for one or two parts, but it is very tedious for 30+ parts with complicated shapes. Because of this, I am looking for a way to get the overall perimeter of my sheet metal flat pattern and store it as a parameter. The lines are always at top-level even if they are hidden by another part (see pictures). I am working with Creo Parametric 2.0 release M010We have a large catalogue of drawings ceated in previous versions of Pro/E and my problem concerns them.I have just updated some dimensions in the generic part and come accross 2 problems.#1 If a dimension (dia of a hole, for example) is updated, when the drawing containing the generic is opened, the dimension shows correctly.If a drawing containing an instance is opened, the drawing shows the original value. Once regenerated the value is correct.Whether or not I save the drawing, the next time it is opened the dimension is back to the original (incorrect) value, until the drawing is once more regenerated.*note, this is refering to a general dimension, not one that is contained in the family table.#2 Similar to the above, If the dimensions contained in a patern table are updated (patern of points), then the values of all pattern articles are correct, but in the instance only the first article dimensions are correct, the remaining dimens

Hello there,I uploaded the burst configuration files to ACM as adviced, then it started to load the burst setting.Since then, whenever I try to upload ditamaps and dita files which were made on the local, the upload fails and a warning comes up saying "the file name is too long".It seems that the file name is changed automatically to a name containing the pass, and that makes the file name too long.Could anyone give me any help with this?Kind regards,Tomomi

I am trying to create a vector in mathcad based on raw data from an excel file and i wass hoping for some help in doing this. I have been able to put an excel table into mathcad (prime 2.0), but i can't figure out how to extract the data from the excel file. Thanks for any help!
