Hi,Does anyone have a recommendation on the best way to put a copy of the PBO from a workflow into a local folder on the server? We have Excel files that are being saved and routed in PDMLink (10.0), and at a certain point in the approval process we want to do some outside processing with the file. Basically, the file would be placed into a folder on an FTP server, and then an ERP system would be updated with the location of the file. This is all easy to do, except I don't know the best way to get a copy of the file into a local folder on the server.If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.Thanks,Micah

I'd like to write an equation containing variables with subscripts, but my intention is that the subscripts simply identify the variable rather than refer to an array, in other words r(sub)s refers not to element s of array r but simply to a variable named r(sub)s. Hello   Is there a posibility to round all values automatically so that i dont have to do it manually a each dimension? A key point in executing tests in creo simulate is the identification of materials, using a .mtl file. However, the creo simulate materials library is limited in precise aluminum alloys. I was wondering if anybody knew the way creo .mtl files are coded, and could point me to any documents concerning it, as the products I design use an alloy 6015 aluminum, which is not among the creo listings. Does anyone know how to edit a hole pattern in an assembly? I screwed up in the placement of the holes and cannot get back into the pattern to correct it. The end goal is to use screws/bolts to hold the assembly together and do a simulation using loads to see how the design holds up. If anybody knows of ways to do this, please let me know. This is probably elementary for most of you, but I'm working on a large dryer unit that has feed lifter blades on one end. I have managed to create the parts using a helical sweep (for the vertical leg) and a swept protrusion using an edge of the vertical leg (for the horizontal top plate) both in sheetmetal mode, however, I can't get them to flatten out now. Any ideas? The I.D. that the vertical wall attaches to is 95" and the travel down the drum is 8' at 45 degrees. The vertical leg is 10" x 3/8 THK. Can anyone tell me how to solve a problem I have with assemblies I am trying to model.I have a frame work which is fastened together with fasteners and this works prefectly well until I add extra parts.In reality the frames are connected using countersunk fasteners some of which are then covered with panels. I am a FIRST FTC mentor of a rookie team and struggling with installation. Using the install from web option. I have my firewall off and am running as administrator. When I try to generate a license code it tells me invalid and to contact support. When I try to use the license code I rec'd in the email I get the following error message. Just can't rely on results. Going to have to simply use spreadsheets (which is terrible... but reliable). I've had various problems over the years so yesterday I sat down and rely analyzed things.Have an assembly set to "Geometry and Parameters", It has 3 subassemblies, each set to "Fully assigned". All models are set to IPS. When I run mass properties for the top assembly, the results DO add up properly when the last two models are suppressed. The results are also correct when just the last model is suppressed. However, when I resume the last model (ergo, all three models), the "total mass" is less than the sum of the three.Even if this is some kind of "corruption problem" (it shouldn't be because, like the others, the last model is "fully assigned") I don't see any way to rely on Creo for mass properties when that kind of thing can happen. Perhaps for small models where errors may be evident... but not for large models like rockets, cars, boats, large machinery, etc.If it can't even

Please look at the attached worksheet (M15) ... I'm new at programming and I'm having difficulty getting the hang of it.Can constants (scalars, vectors) that are defined outside the program block be referenced inside the program block and vice versa?Also, what exactly is the purpose of the 'return' command? ... seems like it can be left off sometimes. Hi,Is a knowledge base created when i create a request in MKS 2007 or higher version?I am currenlty using MKS 2007 and MKS 2009..I want a system where in the users enters the subject of the case and all the logged cases with similar words appear so that the user does not create a duplicate ticket and takes help from the previous ticket to resolve it..Or if i have a knowledge base of all the tickets and the user can search similar tickets by entering a keyword.Please help...

I have what may be an easy question here about document manipulation using the DOM and AOM and executing Arbortext commands.To briefly describe my goal: I'm trying to add a namespace declaration to all XML files that are referenced in a .dita file (ditamap file) via a custom Arbortext menu tool (javascript). This ditamap contains XML elements that describe the URI locations of XML files.Since the ditamap file is what is opened in Arbortext, I'm trying to find a way to set the DOM/AOM to point to the URI location of the individual XML files referenced in the ditamap. I am launching the installer for Apache/ Tomcat or anything, I get the error that there was no suitable JAAV VM included and/ or PATH is not correctly set, I've tried a few things 1. Manually setting Java_Home2. Updated the PATH Environment variable to have Java parth3. installed Java in c:\program files and int c:\ptc\java4. tried version j2sdk-1_4_2_12-windows-i586-p and jdk-1_5_0_15-windows-i586-p 5. It is server 2003 enterprise SP16. The installables are stored in c:\windchill\apache (tomcat) folder7. This is a brand new OOTB machine nothing on itI did get a few calls for the same error but my PTC id is not allowing me to get access to those documents I can only think of two things now, a. the installables i have are screwed upb. I am doing something really silly and cannot figure it out!Any help will be appreciated (see screen shots)Regards,Nitin

Hi. Hopefully this is an easy one to answer..Whenever I pull a tube or curve, or blend a corner greater than 20mm, the curve is not one smooth surface - instead it's shown as multiple flat surfaces. Anyone know why, and how I stop Creo from doing this? I need one prefect smooth surface.On small blends (<5mm) it's smooth, but not sure if this is just because of the scale. I 3D printed a previous piece thinking it would be smooth even though it had facets on screen, but the model did indeed come back with facets as shown on screen.Any help would be greatThanksRajesh

Does anyone know how to activate the welding feature in the student edition of Creo 2.0? I have it in the applications tab but when I click "welding", the tools do not come up.
