Hi everyone my name is jimmy from Mexico im student researcher my major is electromechanical engineer, i have a project for evaluation of PV modules, and one of my objectives is too use data-sheet information with 4 parameters Voc,Isc,Vmp,Imp from the PV module to extract another parameters (a,Iph,Io,Rs,Rp) that not included in the data-sheet. For that im using a five parameter model to solve that problem, im using the solve block (Given,Find) for a nonlinear systems, the method im using is the conjugate gradient. im attaching my file and you will see all the equations that i use, my problems is that when i put the solve command an error display appear saying that some variable is undefined and i check all the file to see what would be the problem and when i use the track error option put me in the first formula the saying that Iph is undefined. i will really appreciated if you can help me because im new on this softwareBest regards to the PTC community.

I'm looking for help solving a problem with a topic I haven't seen any previous example on here of, population balance modeling. In this case the onset of crystallization. The aim is to solve a system of differential equations which represent the crystal population. The first sheet I've attached "Population balance method of moments.mcd" does this reasonably successfully. But I've had to specifty the values for nucleation and growth coefficients (kb, b, kg & g). What I would like to do now is to calculate values for these coefficients so that the model data and experimental data match. The concept is similar to the discussion over here http://communities.ptc.com/thread/43738 were Minerr was used to determine kinetic coefficients to match experimental data. I suspect the issue i'm having is regards to the fact that although the population balance equations are a function of dt, what I'm actually wanting to minise the error for is a function of cooling rate, beta. I have a table in excel and based on three input variables I need to return 1 output variable. Is it possible to just click on a cell and have that value become a variable to be used in subsequent calculations? I have attached the excel table below. What I need to do is return a value of Cf based on the grade, the width "d", and the thickness "b". For example if grade=structural, d=12, and b =3, then Cf would be 1.0 and if Grade = Stud and d=10 and b=4, then Cf would be 1.2. I need to have mathcad return the value of Cf to be used in later calulations. Thanks for any help.

Is there any simple method I can use in a workflow to test the checked in/checked out state of my pbo(wt.Document) so I can route accordingly?(I've got a feeling it'll require reams of java!!!)Many thanks,B

Has anyone been able to edit the workflow emails that Windchill sends out to add information pertinent to the change? If so, how should I go about doing just that?

Hello folkswhen using LeastSquaresFit I'm getting an error notification: Unable to cast object of type 'Mcd.NumVal' to type 'Mpl.Run.Function'. I'm new to Creo and having difficulty adapting. Trying to build a chassis for Baja SAE but am doing something wrong. I made a sketch for the main hoop but it doesn't show up once it's done; all it shows are the centerlines after I leave the sketch. I'm trying to load this simple sketch so I can do framework on it, before moving on to building the rest of the chassis. How does one use an existing part to design a new mating part using the already existing part as a reference? Hey all, I'm still relatively new to creo but im picking it up quickly. One problem I've had over several of my models I've been working on lately is sweeping along a surface. I have a particular shape I want to sweep along the side of my part but whenever I attempt to do it, I gives me the following error: "WARNING: Highlighted entitites not exactly tangent; probably overdimensioned." I've tried everything I can think of to tackle this problem from editing the sketched section by adding and removing chunks of the sketch to try to narrow down a particular point on it that might be causing the problem. I also tried changing the trajectory sketches to incorporate various radii and altering the dimensions of those to study the result without success. If anyone one has any insight I would appreciate it, like I said this isnt the first time I've had this problem and I'm really getting tired of changing the design of my part becasue I cant get creo to do what I want.A little about the sweep

Hello-I am trying to use pdesolve to solve the unsteady heat conduction equation for a 1D plate that has heat generation and a convective boundary condition. I have the following sheet, but it keeps saying "variable is undefined". I have never used pdesolve before, but I think I am doing it right. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks-Jon

Hello there,I was wondering where I can get the "burst configuration file".I made a DITA data with Arbortext Editor and I chose DITA Technical Content as the category of the data.However, when I tried to save the data with ACM, the links in the data became invalid.I found out that I need the burst configuration file for DITA Technical Content to sort this problem out.It would be great if anyone could suggest me where to get it.Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,Can somobedy explain me what this function is doing?\Tools\Refresh WorkspaceI was expected the refresh to update the Compare Status or Out of Date in case that somebody update a model in Commonspace.Am I wrong?Synchonize is the only way to get the Compare Status and Out of Date updated?From my point when I connect to a workspace or when somebody change status or create a new iteration for a CAD this automatically need to be reflected in the compare status ad out of date of teh file store into my workspace.Thx,CC
