Creo Parametric 2.0, M060   I have some fasteners in my assembly that I replaced with a longer version from the same family table.  I had the section through one of them active when I replaced them. After replacing, the section was no longer active.  I re-activated the section but it still shows the old fastener with the new ghosted as if it were a surface model (see screen shot below).   I tried deactivating and reactivating teh section and regenerating the assembly, no change.   How do I fix this?   This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Does anyone know how to chnage a pattern of holes into a pattern of extrusions. I have a plate with a pattern of 40 holes which due to problems with Creo simulate I need to repace with 40 extrusion. I am finding it impossible to simply draw 40 circles over the holes and extrude as you would in almost any other CAD system as Creo's autodimensioning routines allways find an insurmounatble fault.Any ideas?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. As a new user of Mathcad, I'm loooking for a way to get a value from an existing Excel table. My purpose is to get the kz value from the table corresponding to the km value calculated previously in an equation on the document. If the value is between the given values in the rows, I want Mathcad to interpolate it. In order to achieve this, I used Readexcel command to address the reference file and inserted an Excel component. As seen in the attached file, I used the vlookup function, but I couldn't succeed it. What is the wrong part?Also I want the concrete class (C30/C35) to be chosen by combobox like in Excel and make the range to be used for getting the kz value to be dependent on concrete class. Is it possible to do this in Mathcad Prime? Your replies will be appreciated.

When using Creo 2.0 how do you keep part features hidden in the model tree after you have shut down Creo . Hello all, I am new to Creo and am having trouble with one component. I am looking for a step by step tutorial/video/instruction on how to take a .dwg file and turn it into a solid model. I have looked to youtube but the explanation was not detailed enough for me. Do I need to setup the files in a folder that Creo can access and then attempt to make the part? So I can't remember if I have the standard Arbortext publishing engine do I also have Advance Print Publisher or is there a separate charge for the Advance Print Publisher?Thanks in advance.

Hello,   Can somebody help me with addying one thing to drawings?   If i have more than one sheet in the drawing which comes from an assembly and then other models are added, in fact all the drawing have the same name and description. I would just need to divide the description link in the *.frm file (next to the "SAV-TOOL-1000-003" as on pics below) and put a link to indicate a name of the particular member of the assembly. Hello all,I know that this is a "beaten to death" topic, but I still have not been able to solve this in a satisfying way, so here goes.. There must be a way for me to iterate the solve block of the attached worksheet throug a "range variable" of the angles: Alpha and Beta,(Beta could be expressed using Alpha so in reality it is only a sollution for one variable that i need ) and I have searched high and low for a sollution.I would be able to do it if i where trying to iterate throug a range of a normal variable like for instance F.AX or similar, but the angles illudes me.Any help would be appreciated (i believe i have traverse most public paper/google-hits on things like "Iterate solve block" and "using range variable with given/Find")Best regardsRasmus

At the moment we store our files in folders because we have no Intralink or Windchill application yet. This means that there are library folders and project folders and many components are re-used in other projects. I use the search.pro in PRO/E to get the correct parts and to avoid double parts in my folders. The whole setup contains 50+ folders. When a electrical engineer wants to view an assembly of the project in Creo View Express, he can’t find all parts due the the folder structure. Is there a way to use the search.pro in Creo View Express? The other options would be:* that I need to make back-ups of the assembly in a DUMP folder.* Create e-drawings of the assembly.Both options are time consuming and never up-to-date. I am using windows 2008 Server to schedule some tasks to run on a certain time. Installed on this Server I have Integrity client 2009/SP6.I have a smal batch si commands which can not be excuted from the windows scheduler. Any othe CMD Batchfiles are working just fine. MKS Batch files are not. I have tried many settings, nothing worked. Do anyboday have an idea?

Version 2.0, datecodes M020 en M040 have this behaviour.An electrical engineer wants to view the PRO/E design files made with wildfire 4.0 but can’t load the assembly, only one or sometimes 2 components are visible.I made a simple assembly to check this behaviour, one PCB and one component, when he loads the assembly file into Creo view express he sees only one component. (both files are in one directory and can be opened separate but not in one assembly.)When I open the same file, I see the total assembly, 2 components. The only difference is that I have PRO/E wildfire 4.0 and 5.0 installed on my machine and he has not. Does anybody have any idea how to solve this or what is causing this behaviour? How to unassociate CAD documents from the lower version of a WTpart in Windchill 9.1? . Current version (version-0.4) is not attached with this CAD drawing anyway.What I mean is:- I was trying to delete a CAD drawing associated with a lower version of a WTpart. I am using Pro/E Wildfire 4.0 and I need to create a torsion spring model that will update as a mechanism moves. The spring itself is parameter driven and I can update the spring model by changing the number of coils and coil diameter based on calculations. What I would like to do is make this spring a flexible component in my assembly and update the coil and coil diameter parameters in the spring by driving them with an assembly parameter calculated by the angle of movement. My calculated assembly parameters are working fine and I am able to manually update my flexible component, but I can't get the assembly parameter to drive the flexible component...it seems that the flexible component dialog will only take numbers as input. (This is for V14 M030 (or V11.2a))I'm looking for the workaround to allow the data import component to allow the file name for import to be selected programmatically. The basic wizard requires one to set the filename, and to edit it via the right click properties.A colleague has been tasked with auto processing ~50 different data sets, so doing it by hand is not really a sensible solution. (One of the issues is the data file also has some columns which are hex data, so we need the general data entry, and then post proces it once it's inside mathcad, or use matlab (not as nice) I'm sure there was a work around I Just can't find it at the moment. Anyone remember how to do it?Philip

I just published my book and I have a formatter warning pop up that says "A float fault occurred. The float's page type could not be obeyed." It show up twice. I have never seen this error yet.thanksBryon

I'm trying to make a Mathcad document that calculates the performance requirements for a vehicle. Right now I'm trying to calculate the power requirements at various speeds and plot it on a graph. However, I bumped into a problem where it's telling me, "There are too many range variables." It's highlighting the variable for frontal area, which I have defined as A:=3.91m^2. Can anyone figure out why it's telling me that A is a range variable? I have attached the mathcad file for reference.Also, I can't imagine I'm the first person to do this calculation in Mathcad. Does anyone have a document that already does this type of calculation?Additionally, if you see anywhere where I could tighten up the syntax, please let me know. I apologize for arbortext newbie question, but I don't see a quick option for going through changes in a document. I do not see a toolbar shortcut, key stroke shortcut, or recording a macro option available.Is file menu "Tools-->Change Tracking-->Find Next Change" only option?Thanks in advance for help.

Hello I’m new to using Creo elements but have downloaded Creo elements pro school edition and have used it for a couple of weeks in relation to my college course. However now when I load Creo it comes up with my license has expired and then shuts back down. This is a pain as I was half way through my course work and now cannot access it or complete it before my deadline date. I’m just wondering is it possible to extend my licence for the duration of my course, what other options do I have in relation to licencing. Is it expensive to buy a student version of the program? I have created a MathCAD sheet that performs linear regression. I would like to have a function file or something similar that performs this process but with different inputs. This way I can just stick this function file into another sheet, put in the inputs and perform the regression without having to copy the whole thing into the new sheet.I would appreciate it if anyone can help me do this.Thanks.
