I'm fairly new to mathcad, but few hours of attemts did not yield any positive results.Thing i'm tryin to do, is plotting Voltage fluctuation spectral density against frequency And temperature.So it would be x - freq, y - temp, and z - voltage.Problem arises as 1) theese values are distributed non-uniformly. 2) i could really use log scale on x axis.Typical matrix or 3 vectors view cant really help, because my axis are plotted as integers.I also had an idea of plotting several x,z curves with changing y parameter, but mathcad does not allow it.Any tips?

Changing parts into BS8888 for schoolsWhen we first installed Creo Parametric on our school system it wasn’t set up to BS8888. Unfortunately a number of our students produced parts for their final projects. We have now set up all PCs to BS8888 but when students open parts that were designed on the old settings they are not in BS8888 (even though if they start a new part they are to BS8888). I have found out how to change the parts from inches to mm but the real issue occurs when they attempt to produce drawings. The isometric view is missing.My question is can I change a part into BS8888 after it has been completed. If not, can I add the isometric view to the parts “named view” list so the drawings pick it up?

Attached are two images of a student trying to assemble parts for a can crusher using Creo Parametric. When the student attempts to constrain the parts we get the second image. We are not sure what is happening and it makes it very difficult to assemble parts. This happens on the majority of our PCs although not the newer ones. Could it just be a graphics issue? Has anybody experienced a similar problem? I have attached a word file with more of the same. Our school uses Windows 7.

I'm currently experimenting with automating many things in Creo 2.0 (M030), and I found a strange behaviour.When working with parameters, relations and pro/program , a measurement feature of an angle is always shown as degrees.EXCEPT for relations in a feature. There you need to work with RAD.It took me a little while to find out why my parts weren't behaving the way I wanted to, but now everything works just fine knowing this.But what if PTC wants to fix this inconsistency one day?   All my most used surface short cut keys have broken after installing M040 today. These have all worked since the first release of wildfire and never broken between any release or update! -Surface extend -Surface copy -Surface Offset -Surface extrude -Surface Merge   All broken, however they bring up the menu manager and I can't get them to go back on . If you are in a topic and the cursor is at the bottom of it and you save, then close. When you open the file you will be at the spot where you saved. Is there a setting to make the cursor go to the top automatically instead of scrolling?

A little test for myself to see if I could bring two skills together, the twist and the sweep, into something useful.I’m OK with the render but it took far, far too long to just get everything on the ‘floor’ and the ring through the hole without interference; done, pretty much, by eye and a lot of fiddling around in Parametric. Even then I had to force a slightly unnatural alignment between the components to simplify adjustments. More than two or three elements would drive me insane.Am I missing something obvious here? A tool or approach that would make this sort of assembly easier? Any tips?

I've just had a quick look at Prof Birkeland's M15 Programming tutorial (http://communities.ptc.com/docs/DOC-3454) and, out of idle curiosity, wondered what a couple of the 2D plot exercises would look like in Prime Express. However, whereas Mathcad <=15 will cheefully plot all the columns of a matrix, Prime wouldn't; a brief glance at Prime's Help confirms that an XY Plot will only plot the first column, rather than it just being an Express limitation. Is there another way of doing this in Prime? Or is it planned for a later release?Stuart

This is my first term using mathcad and as an introduction to it, my professor has us doing some basic work to fimilarize us with the application. I am slightly stuck though. I have the question worked out, but for part of the homework we have to calculate gas consumption for 150mil americans, daily, monthly, yearly and 10years. I have my equations set up, but I cant seem to get my end results for the monthly portion to display a solution in terms of months. I can only get days, and years. Is there a way to fix this that I am overlooking?Thanks

I am trying to create an STL file from a part so that I can send to our 3D printer. Currenly I cannot create an STL file because nearly the entire part is an imported feature. The part file is the only ProE file that I have available to me, so I cannot try to find the original file to fix. I was wondering if there was a way to merge or solidy the surfaces of the imported feature so that I can create an STL file. Obviously I would like to avoid going through and selecting each and every feature to solify.Is there any easy way to do this? Or is there a better workaround so I can get this part printing? What I'm trying to do is add the through hole and counter sink dimension information to the through hole dimension. I've tried using the "&" and "@" symbols but that didn't work. This is the information that I used:   Through hole dimension name: add1 Counter sink diameter name: add2   My text string looks like this: @D THRU, C'SINK &add2   This is what I get: .140 THRU, C'SINK &add2   If I shorten the "add2" to "d2" it get the thickness of my sheet metal part. Hello,I have recently updated to Mathcad Prime 2.0. Recently I found some dll files that were steam tables developed by a user of Mathcad. They were supposed to be pasted in the user userefi file in the installation directory of Mathcad. I must say these dll files were developed to Mathcad 2000 and Mathcad 11, according to the developer. For what I understood these dll files would be uploaded everytime I start Mathcad.I could not find the userefi folder for Mathcad prime 2.0, is there a similar folder in which I can paste the dll files?I really need these steam tables, They will be very usefull for me. Does anyone know how can I implement them on Mathcad Prime 2.0? Does anyone have a similar development for the use of steam tables in Mathcad?Thank you for your attention.Best Regards,Bruno
