Our illustration lead has identified approximately 3,000 IsoDraw files that she'd like to get into Windchill. I've been tracking down a batch method of getting them in.I've been informed that there is not an out-of-the-box method of importing the files. I've played with a couple options, but here are the problems with each. Any thoughts on either approach?1) Use the batch tool in IsoDraw to save the files to the workspace. Problem encountered here is that it appears by using the batch tool if works around the Windchill connection and thus it does not update the workspace in Windchill. Any idea on how to use the batch tool and update the workspace at the same time?2) The other route was a simple cmd batch script to call against each file that opens, runs a macro to save to the workspace, and then close. Problem here is that if a user with a different font set created any of the files each file prompts on open of the font issue. Is there a way to bypass this error? Perhaps a param to ign

Is there a way (within ACL?) to change the order in which attributes appear in the MODIFY ATTRIBUTES dialog box?Hypothetical: There's a tag called CSN. It has 5 attributes: Chapter Number, Section Number, Unit Number, Figure Number, and Item Number (that's how you can find the part in the part catalog index elsewhere in the manual).Based on the DTD, Arbortext knows the five attributes. So when I enter a tag, Arbortext wants me to populate those five fields. But I guess it displays the attributes in alphabetical order (not the way they appear in the text or the way users remember or speak them). I have a saved analysis feature with the name "VOLUME_INSIDE", which is the volume of a closed quilt enclosing the inside surface of a bottle. By putting the following note in a drawing I can display this value.VOLUME= &VOLUME:FID_3424- where 3424 is the feature i.d. This returns the text, "VOLUME= 2441.9", where 2441.9 is the volume in cubic centimeters. This is because my unit of measurement is centimeters. However I want it in liters, which is of course 2441.9cc / 1000 = 2.4419. I just want to create a parameter called "VOLUME_LITERS" with a relation which sets the outcome of analysis feature above divided by 1000, and put that on the drawing instead of the amount in CCs. I am trying to model a slot which would be cut with a ball endmill while rotating on a 4th axis with a sweep. I projected a curve on to my cylinder which is the trajectory for my sweep, and sketched my cross section. However, I cannot figure out how to get it to remain perpendicular to the cylinder axis throughout the cut. It is sweeping fine, but follows the sweep profile while remaining with the same horizontal\vertical references as the inital sketch. Any suggestions how to create this geometry easier? I wasn't sure if I should post this in the calculus or algebra section as it pertains to both... I have a solve block set up that set's the function, the derivative wrt a variable, and then two other combinations equal to 0. I have 4 variables I am solving for. However, my solve block doesn't seem to work. Oddly enough, if I simplify the functions with my boundary conditions, and then just copy and paste into a new solve block, setting them equal to zero, it works. I don't understand what it is I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a copy of the sheet I'm working on.

I am running into others problem. I would like to know how to define a function, F(a,b), whose (i)th element depends on the (i-1)th element. F(a,b) is a vector. I have the following puzzle, that I can illustrate with this simple example, but that I fear it is more general With a 2x2 matrix like this: A:= 0.2 1 0 0.3 I applied the simple command "eigenvecs(A), with the result of: 1 0.995 0 0.1 Now, the second eigenvector does not seem precisely right. It should be 1, 0.1, and not 0.995; 0.1. I tested this with two different versions of Mathcad, with the same result. Can someone kindly explain if it is my mind wrong, or if it is the application that somwhat fails in precision? In the latter case, is there something that can be done to make Matchad more precise, in so simple calculation? Thanks in advance.

I have two cylinders tha each have 3 known points. With three points i have to find the center point of one circle then with the other three points I need to find the other center point. When the center points are established I need tofind the midpoint of the line between the two center points. Can someone help me get started? Thanks

I have a new user of Mathcad prime 2.0. I have never used mathcad before. I have a question about minimizing.I have a one-column vector, v, with n rows which consists of n functions that involve the variables a and b. i.e. v:=[ F1(a,b) , F2(a.b), F3(a,b) ....Fn(a,b) ]I want to find a value of a and b such that all individual n functions, from F1 to Fn, are minimized or equal zero.all the functions are similiar but different.I would like mathcad to return 1 value of a and 1 value of b such that all the function is minimized, but not 1 set of a,b for each function and ending up with n sets. Can someone tell me what kind of mathcad function can do that? I tried to look up in mathcad help, but 1 have no luckThank you very much

Hi,Can anyone help, please?I'm trying to run Modelling Express 4 after a first installation but get a "no valid license found" message immediately on startup.I have a reliable internet connection.Reinstallation didn't help.Turning off AVG antivirus and Windows firewall didn't help.No value set in the appropriate key in Registry.I can find no solution in these pages or the online help.I'd like to try Creo but I'm getting nowhere.Any ideas, please?Martin.

How can I configure a sandbox scope like "path:AAA OR path:BBB OR name:frolic.txt"?The Help file for the 2009 MKS Integrity GUI says that the "si configuresandbox" command can be used to implement scopes using a combination of logical AND or OR operators, but the si manpage we have doesn't seem to mention --scope and the help text from "si configuresandbox -?" indicates some syntaxes like "name:value" and "path:<expression>" with no hints about how to apply logical operators.Pointers to documentation I missed are appreciated!Thanks,Barrie

We recently have switched from Product Point to Windchill 10 (nightmare all in itself) One user's ProE sessions keeps reverting back to the old ProductPoint server within Server Manager. I have started it without any configs, use the dm_remember_server set to no and it still remembers the old server EVERY TIME!All the users open ProE with the same Icon that I have shared off the server and nobody else is having this issue. I have exhausted my knowledge of where this damn Server could be remembered. We are using Creo/Wildfire 5.0 M080 and I will appreciate any help at all.Thanks, Erik

I have a weird one that I hope someone has come across as I have.A user wants to create a shrinkwrap of an assembly using File>Save As>Shrinkwrap. When he does this it saves the shrinkwrap as an attachment to the assembly.Any takers? I am stumped mostly because when I try it on my system is saves it out as an independent part like I am used to.

He has reached a certain maximum height (h.max=250 m) and fell to the ground after a certain time (t.end=17s).What is the initial speed of the ball and what is a value of the coefficient of drag k (F.drag=k S Ro.air v^2). Hi,First, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post, as the community is "Creo" and I am running WF 3. However, I cannot find the WF 3 community, so if this is not the place, please point me in the right direction. Anyway, I am trying to create a hole at an angle to a surface. The hole is also to be counter bored. I am having great difficulty doing this - I have been able to create a hole by creating an extra axis & datum plane, but it is a simple hole. When I try to change the type of hole from "simple" to "standard" (which is the only place the Counterbore option exists), it does not work (the counterbore is never on the proper surface). When I export a drawing to PDF every radius is bold while the straight lines are standard. I want everything to look the same. I attached an image below to show what I mean. Hello,When defining a list of values for a attribute of an article, there is a string of all values separated by pipe character in the "Attributes and types manager".This way produce a "Selection" list of all values.My question is if there is any way to give more information when displaying this list, I mean if I have a list of 25 numerical values, I want to display a definition of the value during the selection process by a small yellow popup, typically with the "title=" HTML tag of the "<option>" tag.Is this possible with Winchill 9.1 ?Thanks for answers.
